Chapter 129: Last Auction ( Part 2 )
After this item was sold, the crowd fell into a hush as the auctioneer continued with her task. With a flourish, she unveiled a pedestal upon which rested a stone glowing with an inner light, its surface etched with unknown runes and everyone knew about this stone already.
"Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is not just a normal Recruitment Stone that you have seen before…." She began, her voice imbued with a sense of excitement.
"This is the Epic Recruitment Stone, a relic capable of calling forth individuals of exceptional skill and valor to your side."
[ Epic Recruitment Stone: A mystical stone that resonates with the potential of those who wield it. It can summon warriors, strategists, and leaders of commerce alike, each ready to pledge their service to your cause. It guarantees a Summon with amazing talent!

The crowd murmured, eyes wide, at the possibilities such a stone presented.
"The bidding price will start at 500 Points!"
Bids began tentatively, as if the Survivors were still grappling with the stone's potential.
[ Bidder 1253 bids 505 Points. ]
[ Bidder 2001 bids 550 Points. ]
[ Bidder 1992 bids 600 Points. ]
…
[ Bidder 1192 bids 1950 Points. ]
[ Bidder 1253 bids 2010 Points. ]
The numbers climbed steadily, each bid proof that everyone wanted to have a companion!
Finally, with a decisive bid that silenced everyone in the hall, the stone was sold for 3,500 Points to Bidder 1,101!
This time, the crowd no longer had energy to be amazed and they could only blame their terrible luck of not being able to get better Survivor Talent or a better location where they could gather Points.
But the auctioneer was not done yet. She signaled to her assistants, who brought forth a pedestal bearing a stone that pulsed with a light! It was completely different from all the other Recruitment Stones they've seen.
"And now, for the crown jewel of our collection…" she announced, her voice rising to match the grandeur of the moment. "Behold the Hero Recruitment Stone! This is the stuff of legends, capable of summoning a hero whose name will echo through the ages! It's your chance to obtain it!
[ Hero Recruitment Stone: A legendary stone imbued with the power to call forth a hero of unparalleled might. This hero will possess abilities that transcend the ordinary, a beacon of hope in the darkest times.

The hall erupted into cheers and gasps. The Survivors leaned forward, their expressions a mix of awe and desire.
"A Hero Recruitment Stone!"
Clan Leader Natalie of the New Haven stood poised, her gaze sharpening as she considered the stone's potential to bolster her forces.
"This could shift the tides…" She whispered as she looked at her remaining points. 2780 Points! She couldn't help but grit her teeth after seeing this. She should've worked harder and forced her clan members to work better so she could've obtained more Points!
Not too far from her, Clan Leader Borin of the ROTK Clan leaned forward, his armored hand clenched in anticipation.
"With this…" He rumbled, a grin breaking across his weathered face, "We could forge a path through the Dead Zones."
He was referring to a zone where there was a sea of Zombies. Furthermore, they weren't going out of this Dead Zone as if they were being controlled by an even more powerful Zombie. He couldn't help but want to clear up this area.
From the shadows of the upper balcony, Clan Leader Caius of the Shadowbinders watched, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "A hero, is it?" he mused to himself, dreaming about the possibilities that it could give him... "A valuable asset… or a formidable foe."
But Caius still sighed as he only had 3,000 Points left that he planned to use in the Bazaar later.
Clap!
Clan Leader Delara of the Serene Garden clasped her hands. Her expression was one of tranquil resolve. "A Hero, huh… This might be the only chance we can obtain something like this." She spoke softly as she checked her BidLink Communicator only to see 910 Points in it. She already spent her Points on some of the Legionnaire Sets that was auctioned off so she couldn't really compete on this one.
Nonetheless, she was curious whether Bidder 1101, whom she suspected of being the Shadow Strider, would take this item as well.
'I'm sure that Bidder 1101 is that Top 1 Ranker. I just have to find him.'
Meanwhile, standing tall amidst the crowd, Clan Leader Travis of the Drakeheart Vanguard fixed his gaze upon the stone, his voice booming with conviction.
"This Hero Recruitment Stone is important to us. Please, Bidder 1101 or maybe Shadow Strider. Please allow us to obtain it. I am Blade Whisper. As a fellow Ranker, I hope you can be magnanimous. You are already strong!"
Well, he certainly tried copying Lyra and the others and pleading to the mysterious bidder. However, there was no answer for him, and it will only be known once the bidding started.
[ Bidder 1107 bids 2,450 Points. ]
[ Bidder 1119 bids 2,850 Points. ]
[ Bidder 1104 bids 3,350 Points. ]
…
[ Bidder 1102 bids 4,150 Points. ]
[ Bidder 1115 bids 5,010 Points. ]
It turns out that there were still plenty of Survivors with over 3,000 Points!
Well, this was also Shane's fault as he purchased the items they had also targeted, allowing them to save a lot of Points!
The bids surged like the tide as everyone wanted to obtain it.
However, it didn't take long before only three Survivors started bidding.
Shane, caught in the moment, found himself raising his own BidLink Communicator, his finger hovering over the bid button.
[ Bidder 1101 bits 7,500 Points. ]
A collective sigh was heard after this bid came.

The hall fell silent as the auctioneer called once, twice, and then for the final time.
The gavel fell, and the Hero Recruitment Stone was sold to Shane for 7,500 Points. A cheer rose from the crowd, a collective acknowledgment of the game-changing acquisition Shane had made.
The auctioneer smiled, her eyes reflecting the grandeur of the sale.
"Congratulations, Bidder 1101! You've secured a legend this day. May your hero lead you to a future bright with promise."
After winning this bid, Shane finally decided to leave the Grand Auction Hall…
