Chapter 221: The Seventh Horde
Chapter 221: The Seventh Horde
The seventh horde was unlike any they had faced before—not a vast horde of lesser undead, but four towering Giant Zombies whose colossal forms loomed ominously above the canopy of trees!
Indeed, these Giant Zombies' heads could be seen above the trees!
"This…" Gene and Lucas were momentarily speechless but they still reported what they had seen.
They were both aware that Shane had previously defeated a Giant Zombie when he explored further away from their estate. He was together with the Elves and the two powerful summons.
As everyone here their report, Max, who was on the watchtower on the other side of the estate, also reported the presence of a single Giant Zombie…
"Shinja… We will be focusing our force against these Zombies. I want you to ensure that no other zombies would get in the way." Shane immediately said to Shinja.
Although Shinja would probably be a huge help for them once he joined, Shane was worried that no one else would be able to handle any Hunter Zombies that might sneak inside their estate.
It would be a disaster if such a high-tier Zombie were able to cause havoc inside their territory, especially now that their estate had no working barriers.
"I understand… I will keep monitoring the whole estate and ensure that no other zombies reach our shelter." Shinja replied
Boom~
The ground rumbled beneath their feet as the Giant Zombies drew nearer, their massive frames silhouetted against the darkening sky…
As Shane looked at them, these Giant Zombies were definitely different from the one he had defeated before. The eyes of these Giant Zombies were glinting with malevolent intent. As if they couldn't wait to crash their shelter.
"Lily and Elsa, bring your team to the other side and help the Monk's team to fight the Giant Zombie. We will be fine here." Shane instructed.
"I understand."
"We will follow your command." The two replied in unison.
"Great… Once you defeated the Giant Zombie, tell Chaloem to come here." Shane said, but the two seemed confused. Shane then realized that they did not know this person, so he quickly explained.
"Chaloem was the Monk you've seen a while ago."
With this clarification, the two of them nodded and immediately left the area while their team followed. They also didn't want to face the four Giant Zombies, so it was a win-win situation for them.… They could only hope that Shane had a trump card to deal with this.
Meanwhile, Lady Seraph and the other defenders exchanged nervous glances. Nonetheless, they didn't show signs of wanting to flee. They were steeling themselves for the imminent clash with foes whose sheer size posed a threat unlike anything they had encountered thus far.
As the echoes of their approach grew louder, a sense of tension in the atmosphere settled over Shane's shelter.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The Giant Zombies started moving closer.
As the shadows lengthened and the ominous silhouettes of the Giant Zombies loomed closer, Shane's voice rang out for everyone to here...

"We can't allow these Giant Zombies to reach our walls and destroy them! Another horde awaits us after this battle! We need to move! Prepare yourselves!" Shane then commanded the five elves and the six Super Soldiers to stand as one against the towering undead behemoths threatening their estate.
Indeed, Shane directed the elves and Super Soldiers to form a strategic line, positioning themselves a hundred meters from the massive adversaries.
The elves, armed with the newly acquired Great Hunter Bows, expected this move since they already lost their Barrier. They could not let such a huge zombie get close to their wooden walls.
Anyway, their weapons were enhanced to deliver devastating blows with a +40% Damage boost, +20% Critical Chance, +25% Range, and +15% Reload Speed, in addition to the formidable Piercing Shot Skill at their disposal. They were confident that they would do more damage against these Zombies.
In contrast, the Super Soldiers stood in front while their hands encased in Gauntlets forged from the Abyssal Iron, each pair meticulously crafted by the skilled hands of Blacksmith Leo to a Master-Grade quality.
The gleam of the dark metal wasn't just a decoration; it provided formidable strength and resilience against any corrosion…
As the tension grew, Shane stepped to the forefront, cloaked in the Ethereal Cloak of Shadows that granted him the elusive Perfect Shadowmeld Skill, blending seamlessly with the darkness around him. His hands encased in the Gauntlets of Titan Strength, imbuing him with an additional 70% of his already formidable might… These two are the items he had obtained in the secret shop before.
As for the Sniper Rifle, however, Shane had given it to Lucas for now. It must be remembered that Lucas had a level 10 Firearm Mastery as a previous soldier. Shane trusts that this man would be able to find the perfect timing to fire the limited laser charge that they have.
"Alright… The five elves will take the Giant Zombie on the left… The six Super Soldiers will split into two groups to deal with the other two… I will handle the last Giant Zombie. Lucas will support us with the rifle if you're in a tough spot, so don't lose hope." Shane reminded.
With a shared nod of understanding, the defenders braced themselves for the impending clash…
Soon, as the trees blocking the path of the Giant Zombies were felled, everyone's eyes were fixed on the Giant Zombies.
The Giant Zombies then momentarily looked at the people blocking their path before they rushed at them!
As the earth trembled beneath the weight of the Giant Zombie's advance, everyone tightened their hold on their weapons…
As they got closer, the clash began with a thunderous roar as arrows loosed from the Great Hunter Bows of the elves hit one of the Giant Zombie's vital parts, but it was completely ignored! It was as if the arrow couldn't hit deeper enough to cause serious damage!
The Super Soldiers, on the other hand, surged forward; their Abyssal Iron Gauntlets clashed against the grabbing palms of the Giant Zombies, delivering powerful blows that reverberated through the battlefield.
