Chapter 250: The Talisman
Chapter 250: The Talisman
Shane then decided to guide Aya personally around the estate. Shane arranged for the young girl to stay in the manor house near Anna and Alexa's living quarters.
After that, Shane introduced her to the tailor of the estate… They were ones brought by Lily and Elsa, and they had been diligently making clothes from the fabrics they obtained from the Survivor Stores.
Most of these clothes were just for daily use or comfortable ones to get better sleep.
Of course, Shane also took this time to let them know to make clothes for Aya as well. Seeing how little and cute Aya was, everyone in the room immediately agreed, and they even planned to make several more shrine maiden's clothes for her.
Then, as Shane brought her around the estate, Eliot happened to be on their way and he also introduced Aya to the engineer.
"Ohhh… This young lady is from the Master Recruitment Stone? Impressive… Are you planning to make a Temple now? Ahem… I've never tried building a temple before but I can make a plan."
Eliot suddenly said as he thought that Shane had brought Aya to him to inform him about his plan to build a temple.
Well, they already had a monk in the estate, so Eliot was already considering building this a sacred Temple as well, anyway. Furthermore, he met the two sculptors Aldrian and Lysandra as well… From their conversation, he realized that the sculptures they could make weren't just those for small decorations in rooms, but they could also make life-like statues!
With those two talented sculptors, he knew for a fact that the temple would surely become successful! Read exclusive chapters at m_v-l'-NovelFire.net
Now that their land had expanded, they could surely consider making one!
Shane was stunned as he had never actually considered that… He was simply here to introduce Aya.
However, he immediately looked at the young lady to see if she wanted to proceed with that idea. She realized what Shane was thinking, but she only shook her head.
"I don't need to be in the temple to create my Talisman. As long as we have the materials like the ink, brush, and enchanted papers… Then I can make them… If I'm in a quiet place where I can concentrate, then that's even better." She explained.
Shane nodded at this as he already had some sort of idea on how to make these enchanted papers.
Well, he had actually given dozens of Spirit Enhancement Bottles to Anna… After she became an Alchemist, her Brewmaster Skill wasn't being used to its fullest.
Because of that, Shane decided to give her various potions she could get from the Survivor Store and from the loots he obtained from the Zombies. Thanks to that, she even managed to create the Dragon's Veil Elixir.
Well, aside from the Enhancement Bottles, Shane also gave Anna some of the Spitter Venom Sacs, Mutagenic Serums, and some of the potions he obtained from Raze.
Well, he was hoping that she could analyze them to create something better or learn how to make such potions.
"You heard that… Let's consider making a Temple if we have a few more people like Aya and Chaloem." Shane explained. He was aware that having faith in something could also help with the morale of the Survivors, especially once he was gone.
After the tour, Shane and Aya returned to the Reception Hall and he finally asked the young lady about the Talismans that she could make…
"Now… Can you tell me more about the Talismans you can make?" Shane asked.
Aya nodded at this as she started sharing what she knew about her craft.
"Lord Shane, allow me to introduce you to the Talisman of Lightning. This is my most powerful Talisman that could burn even a black bear in the mountains. I could only make a Talisman that releases a lightning though… It was the weakest one. My elders could actually my a better one which enhances the speed and agility of the wearer instead…"
"Oh? There are levels on this Talisman? It can release lightning or it could enhance its wearer…" Shane curiously asked.
"Yes… I could only make the lowest one. As for the ones made by my elders, they could make their wearer obtain reflexes at the level of lightning itself for a short duration. It can be a valuable asset in moments requiring swift action." Aya explained…
"Fascinating! How does it work exactly?"
"The one that enhances the wearer? I only know that it channels the energy of lightning to enhance one's speed and reaction times, providing a burst of agility when faced with trials. It's like having the power of a thunderbolt at your fingertips. I don't really know."
"Right… It's fine… And what about the Talisman of Healing?"
"Ah, the Talisman of Healing is a symbol of restoration and vitality. It accelerates the body's natural healing processes, soothing injuries and rejuvenating the user…"
Shane then continued learning from the young lady.
He learned that the Warding Talisman creates a protective shield like the Sentinel Sphere… However, this barrier was weaker and shorter in terms of duration. In his mind, the Sentinel Sphere was still a lot better, even if he had to use Power Cores.
The Strength Talisman was also quite simple, and it just fortifies one's resolve and physical prowess. People would also become fearless with this Talisman!
It seemed to have an effect similar to the Spicy Instant Noodles from the Survivor Store.
The Talisman of Insight, on the other hand, was quite intriquing and the most difficult to make among all the Talismans Aya could make.
"It sharpens intuition, grants clarity of thought to make good decisions, and if you're lucky, it sometimes offers glimpses into the future."
"Glimpses into the future?" Shane asked.
"Yes… It's written in the book, but no one had ever had such experience, so don't think too much of it."
Finally, Aya explained that the Talisman of Illumination could simply create light. However, according to the textbooks, it also guides the souls of the dead, so using it might attract bad spirits.
Shane couldn't help but feel intrigued by these Talismans.
