Chapter 255: Traveling
Chapter 255: Traveling
It had been two days since Shane embarked on his solitary journey to find a method of how to end the Zombie Apocalypse. Read new chapters at m_v-l'e|-NovelBin.net
During this time, Shane was able to survive alone every night thanks to the Zombie Repellent Candles and his new Master-Grade Tent that he obtained from the Rare Shelter Gift Pack that he recently obtained. This was from his previous Rare Random Gift Pack, and he was quite satisfied with it.
During this time, as he ventured further into the unknown, Shane's senses sharpened, attuned to the subtle signs of danger that lurked around every corner.
It was his Survivor Skill: Danger Sense, that was fully working. With his skill and Cloud's detection, he was able to kill Zombies easily with his Crawler's Grasp Gloves.
With his overwhelming strength and speed, he realized that using his strength as his weapon was more effective than his weapons.
[ You have eliminated a Jumper Zombie. ]
[ You have eliminated a Runner Zombie. ]
Shane diligently eliminated all the Zombies that entered his detection range since it would also help him get used to his new fighting method.
Well, to be exact, he was relearning the Martial Arts that he had practiced during his survival in the A.I. Rebellion.
This Martial Art was called Jade Body Art, and it was one of the many Martial Arts that combatted some A.I. Robots that had lasers and explosives as their main weapons.
Although he obtained memories of himself using this Jade Body Arts, just memories of it weren't enough as he had to get his body used to its movement. He had to repeatedly use it in order to familiarize himself once again.
Thanks to this, it allowed him to obtain better defense against the Zombies…
'The problem is that I don't have the Gene Solution to mutate my physique… But having an Aura and this high-level Strength and Agility should cover this problem.' Shane thought as he recalled that the battle against the A.I. had first started by using the same technology as the Anima against them.
However, the main solution was still the mutation or evolution of humans. The Gene Solutions allowed them to practice techniques that could fully maximize their high Strength and Agility…
'But I'm still wondering how in the world I became friends with Anima… All my memories about them were just fighting their androids or stealing their mechframes.' Shane shook his head as he decided to just focus on this Zombie Apocalypse.
Anyway, it was on the third day of his journey that Shane's path intersected with other Survivors…
[ Four survivors detected… ]
[ Eight unknown zombies detected… ]
A.I. Cloud reported.
Shane quickly moved in the direction that Cloud pointed, and soon, the distant sounds of commotion and distress echoed.
Drawing closer, he came upon a group of four survivors locked in a desperate battle against a group of eight Crusher Zombies. Their huge forms and distinct arms could not be mistaken. Although they weren't common zombies in his shelter, he knew about the Crusher Zombies as mid-tier ones, thanks to Raze and the others.
The four survivors, clad in the distinctive Hunter Set, stood in a circle as they were surrounded by the zombies.
Nonetheless, they didn't stay still and moved accordingly to find a better position. They were coordinated and they wielded short blades and bows with a practiced ease.
From their current strength and agility, Shane believed that their strengths should be around 50 points. It doesn't mean that their levels had already reached 35 or so, but they must've also obtained Strength or Spirit Enhancement Potions that greatly improved their fighting capabilities.
Each member of the group didn't seem to be having a hard time at first. However, as the Crusher Zombies got closer and closer to them, their defenses were slowly weakening.
Apparently, amoning the eight Crusher Zombies they only managed to heavily injure four of them. These four had arrows all over their bodies and oozing with black blood. They were already about to collapse and just needed a few more strikes to kill them.
However, the other four Crusher Zombies were still doing well and they could easily grab or defend themselves from their arrows as if they had gotten used to their fighting styles!
'Are they not high-tier Zombies? How can they adapt so quickly?!' Shane was shocked seeing this.
Although the Crusher Zombies weren't a threat to him, he still couldn't help but feel surprised seeing them learning how to adapt against the poor Survivors.
It wasn't just intelligence… They also possessed incredible brute strength… Their large hands seemed capable of crushing anything that dared to cross their path.
As the battle raged on, Cloud alerted him that the four could die at any moment now…
After some thought, Shane sprang into action…
"I'll help! But the zombie loots are all mine!" Shane shouted as he appeared out of nowhere.
The group of Hunter Survivors were surprised at first, but after hearing Shane's words, their leader immediately replied.
"You can loot them all. Please help us." The leader said without hesitation. He was skeptical about the man's strength, but since he was willing to help, they might be able to use this person to get an opening to escape the encirclement of the Crusher Zombies.
"Very well…" Shane was satisfied with their reply and decided to use his Epic Hatchet for now… This time, he didn't plan to let the others know about his current strength yet.
Shane's heart pounded with adrenaline as he gripped his Epic Hatchet tightly… Although he was confident with his strength and skills, he still couldn't help but feel excited and nervous at the same time.
Seeing the Shane only had a hatchet as his weapon, the four Survivors felt a bit disappointed. However, they didn't show it in their face since the stranger was still helping them distract the Zombies.
Ha!
Shane surged forward to the nearest Crusher Zombie, which was still facing the four other survivors.
The group of Hunter Survivors watched in awe as Shane's hatchet sliced through the neck of the Crusher Zombie, beheading it with one swift and clean move!
In just a couple of seconds, the first Crusher Zombie fell!
