Chapter 296: Golden Treasure Chest

Chapter 296: Golden Treasure Chest

As Shane opened the Golden Treasure Chest, he received a familiar message from the system.

[ You have discovered a Golden Treasure Chest. ]

[ You have earned 1 Experience Point. ]

Shane smiled after confirming that it was indeed a system-recognized chest and not a fake one.

[ You have received a Blood Alchemy Book x1 ]

[ You have received a Skill Fusion Talisman x10 ]

[ You have received a Polymorphium Metal x10 ]

[ You have received a Spectral Moonstone x10 ]

[ All items have been transferred to your Inventory. ]

"Whoa~" Shane was elated as soon as he saw the items he had just obtained. There were actually a lot of them!

'Is this because of my Lucky Find Talent?' Shane smiled as he recalled one of his recently acquired talents. It was the talent he obtained around the same time as his Telekinesis.

[ Lucky Find ( Exceptional Talent ): The Survivor possesses an extraordinary knack for uncovering valuable resources, hidden caches, and rare artifacts in the most unexpected places.

With a keen eye for detail and a touch of serendipity, the Survivor is adept at spotting hidden compartments, secret passages, and concealed treasures that elude others. There is also a small chance of getting 100% more of the expected rewards! ]

Anyway, Shane already had an idea about the Polymorphium Metal since he already looted it before. Unfortunately, it was an item that even Leo had trouble with.

Nonetheless, once he was able to use this metal, he would be able to obtain a weapon that could shapeshift. Just how awesome was that?

Shane knew that it was only a matter of time to find a way to create a weapon using this metal.

With that, Shane checked his Inventory and read the description of other items.

[ Blood Alchemy Book: The Blood Alchemy Book is a forbidden tome that delves into the dark art of utilizing Zombie Bloods of all types for alchemical purposes. This sinister grimoire details the extraction, purification, and infusion techniques needed to harness the unique properties of various zombie blood strains in order to obtain the skills of the Zombies. ]

"W-what?" Shane was stunned after reading the description.

He finally found the purpose of the Zombie Blood that he had been looting ever since he had arrived here!

'Zombie Skills! It's a good thing I've kept most of the Zombie Blood from those High-Tier Zombies.' Shane thought as he couldn't help but feel excited after realizing how lucky he was.

The Golden Treasure Chest was definitely the best treasure chest out there! The Wooden Treasure Chest that only gave some ores was completely out of its league!

Shane then excitedly turned to the next item.

[ Skill Fusion Talisman: The Talisman is a mystical artifact capable of merging two or three distinct Survivor Skills into a single, more powerful ability. This special talisman resonates with the energies of the skills it seeks to combine, enabling survivors to transcend their limitations and unleash unprecedented mastery over their abilities.

By channeling the essence of multiple Skill through this talisman, Survivors can unlock synergies, amplify strengths, and create devastating new techniques to overcome the challenges of the Apocalypse. ]

'So it's called Skill Fusion Talisman here…' Shane nodded after reading this.

Needless to say, his Memory Spheres from the two other Apocalypses already made him aware of their existence.

To be exact, there was a Skill Merger Priest in the Fairy Realm Collision Apocalypse in every human shelter. They charge a lot of money for every Skill Merging attempt, and even if the merge fails, the payment will not be refunded.

On the other hand, the A.I. Rebellion Apocalypse has a Skill Synthesis Fluid that could be used. Once the fluid was consumed, it would assist the Survivor with synthesizing the new Skill.

Anyway, Shane was quite glad that he had 10 of these Talismans since he still had no idea which Skills had a high success rate of fusion. He would surely fail several times, so having more of these would be better, and he had no intention of selling them at all.

Finally, he checked the last item.

[ Spectral Moonstone: The Spectral Moonstone is a radiant crystal imbued with otherworldly energies that can bestow spectral-related effects upon any item it touches. This mystical gem resonates with the ghostly realm, allowing players to infuse their equipment with otherworldly powers.

From granting invisibility to enhancing stealth, defense, or supernatural abilities, the Spectral Moonstone offers a versatile enhancement option for survivors seeking to harness the spectral forces in their weapons or pieces of equipment. ]

'Nice, I also got my first Enchantment Stone.' Shane muttered.

In the Fairy Realm Apocalypse, this was basically similar to an Enchantment Stone. There was also a varied success rate for this based on the type of item being enchanted, so he was happy with ten moonstones in his Inventory.

'Right… Already spent a lot of time here… Lysandra might be getting worried now.' Shane thought as he quickly confirmed that he didn't miss anything before storing his turret in his Inventory and leaving the place.

In the meantime, while Shane and Lysandra were headed to the canyon that was currently blocked by the Nightfall Nexus Clan, there was a mysterious event in a far region of the continent.

At this time, a group of Survivors cautiously approached an imposing castle owned by the Stone Mountain Clan, the Rank 9 Clan of Region 7.

Their mission here was to conquer this place and make this place their own shelter.

"What's going on?" The leader of these invaders was shocked.

As they crossed the threshold of the castle, they were expecting a fierce battle to ensue, but it didn't happen!

To their shock and bewilderment, they were met with an eerie silence that hung heavy in the air. Although it seemed to be a trap, they had no choice but to continue.

Then, as they ventured deeper into the castle halls, a chilling realization dawned upon them - all the Survivors living in this castle were nothing but dried-up corpses, including the renowned leaders of the Clan!

It was as if all of their blood had been sucked dry!
