Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 299: Leaked

Chapter 299: Leaked

Shane only had 100mL Juggernaut Zombie Blood and 600mL Giant Zombie Blood. Obviously, he could not obtain this Titan's Roar Skill just yet.

Thankfully, already had the Corrupted Hearthstone and Mutagenic Serum, so he was only lacking the Ancient Oak Moss.

'I hope someone's selling that in the Marketplace.' Shane thought as he casually opened the Marketplace.

'I hope someone's selling blood as well… or maybe I can ask the chat for that.' Shane mused as he recalled that he was not the first killer of the Juggernaut Zombie.

He was hoping that the first ones who had killed the Zombie had somehow looted its blood since it should have a high drop rate.

Shane then quickly searched the Marketplace and thankfully, there was already a category for Zombie Blood!

[ Seller: Fury Singer

Item: 2L of Jumper Zombie Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Jumper Zombie.

Price: 10 Zombie Cores ]

[ Seller: Frost Beaten

Item: 500mL of Zombie Rat Leader Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Zombie Rat Leader.

Price: 22 Zombie Cores ]

"They're cheap." Shane muttered after seeing the prices. It was certainly a good thing that the prices of the blood weren't that much. Only those Leader Zombie Blood were expensive.

Soon, he found what he was looking for.

[ Seller: Ghost Warden

Item: 100mL of Juggernaut Zombie Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Juggernaut Zombie Blood.

Price: 30 Zombie Cores ]

'Ghost Warden? Isn't that Natalie's pseudo name?' Shane muttered as he recalled the auction. Ghost Warden, or Natalie Cross, was the leader of the New Haven Clan who had somehow become the Top 1 Clan after the Second Zombie Wave.

'As expected of that respectable clan, they actually killed a Juggernaut Zombie already. However, instead of saving up the blood for possible future use, they actually sold it instead. Are they short in cash?' Shane mused as he immediately purchased the item.

After confirming the purchase, he received a message from the system.

[ You have paid 30 Zombie Cores for the purchase of '100mL of Juggernaut Zombie Blood.' ]

[ The item has been transferred to your inventory. ]

After this purchase, Shane was lucky to find 2 Sellers of 100mL Giant Zombie Blood. They were also familiar names as they were in the Ranking. They were Blade Whisper, who was supposedly Travis, and Raven Guard, the lone wolf but had somehow maintained his position as top 2 in the Leaderboard.

Now, Shane only needed to find the Ancient Oak Moss and he had no idea where he could find it so he decided to just send a message in the Regional Chat.

If there were no replies from there, he would search the World Chat instead.

In the meantime, as soon as Shane completed his purchase of the 100mL Juggernaut Zombie Blood, Natalie Cross, the leader of the New Haven Clan, received a notification that an item she listed in the Marketplace had just been sold.

A few moments ago, Natalie Cross stood at the heart of the New Haven Clan's new shelter, a fortress of steel and stone located within the remnants of a once-thriving city.

According to their investigation, this place seemed to have been a city hall that had been turned into a shelter by previous survivors. However, for some reason, the people had to move away and abandon this place completely.

In her opinion, it was because of the lack of food. Nonetheless, this place was still in good condition.

Anyway, Natalie was a tall and elegant woman. It could be seen from her bearing. After all, she was a police in the previous world before she got here.

Whom~

With piercing green eyes that seemed to see through to one's soul, she stared at the barrier that had just been activated…

Her brown hair, tied back in a practical braid, framed a face marked by both beauty and the harsh realities of survival.

Hu~

'It's finally up…'

Natalie heaved a sigh of relief as soon as the barrier was activated. She obtained this barrier in the Reputation Store, and it was stronger than the ones they used during the second Zombie Wave.

"We're now ready to attack the Wild Shelter…" Natalie announced in front of everyone.

Currently, she was clad in a tailored leather jacket reinforced with Kevlar. She was the leader but also a combantant.

Her belt was adorned with various tools and weapons, including a sleek revolver and a finely crafted sword.

Apparently, before the notification from the Market interrupted her thoughts, Natalie was deep in preparation.

There was a Wild Shelter that had appeared nearby, and they saw that it was still not finished with its construction as they were building several watchtowers made of wood.

According to the conversations in the regional chat, the Wild Shelter was filled with danger but also opportunity.

It was filled with precious items, food, other necessities, and even weapons! Because of that reason, she knew that they had to attack this Wild Shelter before it could complete its preparations.

She stood on a raised platform, surveying her elite force—forty of the best survivors she could gather, each equipped with revolvers and blades depending on their combat style.

"Remember," Natalie addressed them, her voice steady and clear, "the Wild Shelter is unlike anything we've encountered. Just follow the strategy that we've made. We will be clearing out the low-tier Zombies in the surroundings at seven…"

As she finished speaking, a soft chime echoed from the system.

She glanced at it, her eyes narrowing as she read the notification.

[ Your 100mL of Juggernaut Zombie Blood has been sold. ]

[ You have received 24 Zombie Cores. ]

"Someone really bought it… But for what reason?" Natalie mused as she checked the one who had purchased it by checking the logs in the Marketplace.

Soon, he saw the latest transaction log.

[ Shadow Strider purchased 100mL of Juggernaut Zombie Blood for 30 Zombie Cores. ]

'So it's the Top 1 Survivor… Did he already find the purpose of zombie blood?' Natalie mused as she believed that this was a very important piece of information.
