Chapter 305: Shot
Chapter 305: Shot
With her Epic-Talent Quick Learner, Lysandra learned a total of eight Survivor Skills, four of which were passive abilities.
Because of this, she was truly confident in her abilities and knew that she simply lacked strength, agility, and vitality. In short, her level was simply too low, and that was only her problem right now.
Despite that, however, she didn't feel nervous after sensing the danger.
After all, she had just obtained several things from Shane, and one of them was her new Wolf Spirit Ring, which was Epic Grade!
'Let's see what kind of danger I'm in…' Lysandra thought, as the danger that she sensed could be related to a zombie infection or robbers in the shelter. It could really be anything at this point.
As she turned to find a seat, she noticed a group of men watching her intently. However, she ignored it and found an empty seat.
After ordering some food, the waiter soon served her food.
It seemed that during the day, this pub was like a typical restaurant.
'Mhmm… I can still sense some danger… Is it related to the food?' She considered for a moment as she stared at her food. However, she had no skills related to poison detection or something similar.
At this time, the group of men who had been secretly observing Lysandra noticed how she was hesitating to eat her food.
They immediately realized that the woman seemed to have noticed the powdered Sleeping Pill that they had mixed in her food.
Because of that, they decided to do this by force…
A total of six men stood up and surrounded Lysandra.
Of course, she didn't miss their movements as her hand instinctively moved to the hilt of her sword.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" one of the men sneered, stepping closer.
He was tall and burly, with a scar running down his cheek. "A pretty little thing all alone here."
Lysandra's eyes narrowed. "What do you want?"
The man chuckled, and his companions closed in, weapons drawn. "Just a little contribution to our cause. Hand over your valuables, and we won't have to hurt you."
Lysandra's heart pounded.
She knew she hadn't offended anyone, yet here she was, surrounded by a group of thugs. She glanced around, noting the exits and the positions of her attackers.
There were five of them, each armed with a mix of knives and clubs.
'They're not carrying firearms? What's going on? Why are they so brave?' She mused for a moment as she considered that their weapons had special abilities.
However, she already considered that these people weren't Survivors from Earth but were locals. Obviously, they wouldn't have the full support of the Apocalypse System if that were the case. After all, these people, whom others like to call NPCs in the Regional Chat, could only access their own stats, which would allow them to see their overall strength and skills.
It was extremely limited since they did not have access to Survivor or Reputation Stores, Pets, Market, Looting function, and others.
'Why are they so confident?'
She couldn't understand.
However, she knew that she was also strong, so if they ever placed a trap, she should be fine as long as she used her Sentinel Sphere!
Lysandra stood her ground, her hand tightening around her sword. She decided not to use her revolver yet since they were a bit too close.
"I don't want any trouble," she said, her voice steady. "But I won't be robbed either."
The leader of the group laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "You've got spirit, I'll give you that. But spirit won't save you."

He lunged at her while his knife flashed in the dim light of the pub…
Lysandra reacted instinctively, drawing her sword and parrying the attack.
Clang!
The clash of steel echoed through the pub. It would probably draw the attention of the other patrons if this was during the nighttime, but this morning, they were the only customers here!
This means that no one will probably try to save her at this moment.
The men circled her, and their movements soon showed some coordination. It showed that this wasn't their first time to corner someone!
Lysandra's mind raced, calculating her next move. She couldn't afford to be overwhelmed. With a swift motion, she kicked over a table, creating a barrier between her and her attackers.
"Get her!" the leader shouted, his face twisted in anger.
The men charged, but Lysandra was ready. She moved quickly as her sword slashed swiftly, deterring those who wanted to get near.
Nonetheless, they all wielded their weapons in order to suppress her.
Lysandra deflected blows for a few moments, but soon, she activated her Sentinel Sphere!
Thud!
A hidden weapon thrown by their leader was suddenly blocked!
'It's no wonder you're confident…' Lysandra's eyes squinted as she noticed that the small blade thrown at her was tinged with poison.
Without any more hesitation, she decided to use her revolver!
Their eyes widened as they soon realized that their greediness would actually lead to their death!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
She shot them one by one as they fell to the floor, clutching their wounds. She didn't kill them yet as she still recalled that killing was prohibited here.
She didn't want to become the enemy of the Nightfall Nexus Clan as much as possible. After all, he believed that the actions of this group weren't the clan's idea.
After taking a deep breath, Lysandra looked at the remaining men who hadn't been shot… They stood still as they slowly put down their weapons.
At the same time, the bartender watched in stunned silence, his eyes wide with shock seeing that group of thugs lay at the woman's feet, groaning in pain.
"Anyone else wants to try?" Lysandra asked, her voice was cold as she turned her attention to the newly arrived man. It was the manager of this store, and he seemed furious after seeing the current situation.
