Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 309: Lucian

Chapter 309: Lucian

"Aaahh!"

Malakar failed to dodge the lightning strike from the Talisman. It was so fast that his defensive aura failed to materialize in time.

"You---" Malakar tried to gather his strength as he believed that his opponent shouldn't be capable of killing them

But Lysandra wasn't done.

She activated the second Talisman, spending another Spirit Points, to send another bolt of Lightning toward Malakar.

Boom!

The energy buzzed as it illuminated the surroundings with its brilliance.

The second strike hit its mark, and Malakar screamed in agony, his dark magic faltering.

Lysandra watched as Malakar staggered, his robes even started smoking from the lightning strikes!

She quickly pulled out her revolver and emptied her rounds!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Malakar tried to summon his magic, but the injury from lightning strikes and the gunshots were too much.

After getting hit by all of this, Malakar's eyes dimmed, and with a final, desperate gasp, he fell to the ground, his body lifeless.

[ You have eliminated a Wild Necromancer. ]

The battlefield fell silent. The undead creatures he had created on the rampart also fell to the ground, lifeless.

"He's dead! Ahahaha! We're saved!" One of the survivors cheered as he really thought that they had to escape. He was even getting ready to run away and leave the remaining people in the shelter!

"The Lightning Woman saved us!"

"Hooray for the Wolf Summoner!"

"No, she must have a talent as a Lightning Lady! Those wolves were most likely item effects. I've seen one in the marketplace!"

"Fool! The Lightning came from those papers! It was also an item!"

"That's not important! She saved us, and it must be celebrated!"

"Lightning woman! You can loot the leader and those in the rampart. You deserve it."

The remaining Survivors agreed as Lysandra was the one who had contributed a lot to this battle. If not for her Gray Spirit Wolves and her Lightning Talismans, they would've been defeated today.

If not for her, they would've most likely died if Malakar continuously summoned Undead Creatures!

Lysandra's adrenaline suddenly wore off after confirming her kill. She knelt to the ground while her heart swelled with pride and relief.

Those talismans really saved her!

"I've really done it." she whispered, her voice filled with relief.

The remaining defenders gathered around her, their faces etched with respect and admiration.

Lysandra turned to them and told them her name. She just couldn't let them call Lightning Lady or Wolf Summoner.

"You fought bravely, Lysandra," one of them said, his voice hoarse.

"We couldn't have done it without you."

"That's true… Even Marlon, that intimidating guy, just died."

Lysandra nodded as she knew that it was really a close call. It was a good thing that Shane left her with some great items.

"It's all thanks to everyone's help."

Lysandra said as she proceeded to take the drops of the Undead Creatures and finally, she went to corpse of the Wild Necromancer.

[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ]

"Yes."

[ You have earned 25 Experience Points. ]

[ You have earned 1 Reputation Point. ]

[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x1, Orb of Undead Summoning ( Mid ) x1 ]

"So high! 25 Experience Points!" Lysandra exclaimed as this was her first time to get such a huge Experience Points in one looting. The highest she had was just 15 points!

Well, she never had a chance to experience a double experience points, so it was natural.

Then, she turned her attention to the Orb of Undead Summoning and checked its purpose.

[ Orb of Undead Summoning ( Mid ): A single-use mysterious orb that pulses with dark energy, used by the Necromancer to summon and control undead minions. The orb is said to amplify the Necromancer's powers and command over the undead if consumed.

Effects when activated: Undead Summoning: Randomly summon a mid-tier Undead.

Effects when consumed: Effective only with those with Necromancer Talent: +25 Dark Spirit. ]

"Ahhh… It's a pity… I don't have Necromancy Talent." Lysandra thought, but she also realized that she would earn a lot of money if she actually decided to sell this item in the Marketplace. After all, she knew that there were a few Necromancers with various Talent Grades from Uncommon to Epic. As for a Legendary Holder, there wasn't anyone who had at least informed the Regional Chat.

"I wonder how much I should sell this item." Lysandra thought as she quickly checked the Market.

She tried searching for an Orb of Undead Summoning and realized that Shane was actually selling them!

[ Seller: Shadow Strider

Item: Orb of Undead Summoning ( Low ):

Description: A mysterious item dropped by a Wild Necromancer.

Price: 500 Zombie Cores ]

She knew from the other members of the Clan that Shane was Shadow Strider. After all, she had already chatted with Raze and the others, and they even welcomed her through Chat.

"But isn't this a bit too expensive… five hundred cores? No wonder it's still up for sale." She mused. Then, she recalled something…

"Right, there's a 20% Transaction Fee, so the steep price was quite understandable." Lysandra muttered. After all, 100 Zombie Cores would be gone if that was the case.

'Let's just ask him later.' Lysandra thought as she decided not to sell the mid-grade orb for now.

After an hour, the survivors of the Nightfall Nexus Clan began to adjust and forget the threat they'd just experienced. They were simply hoping that the problem with their defense would be resolved when the elites from the Nightfall Nexus returned.

Another five hours hand had passed since Lysandra and her spirit wolves had vanquished Malakar and his undead horde.

The shelter was quiet now, but Lysandra had already arranged for a group of survivors to monitor the surroundings and patrol the area.

Soon, the sound of approaching footsteps drew Lysandra's attention. A guard immediately reported the arrival of the main force of the Clan!

Indeed, the elites of the Nightfall Nexus Clan had returned!

At their front was Lucian, the clan leader, a tall man with piercing blue eyes and a threatening presence. His gaze swept over the palisade and confirmed the message he received that they were indeed attacked.
