Go to Hell, White Lotus

Chapter 59 - A Different Voice

Chapter 59 - A Different Voice

[59. A Different Voice]

.......The room became even more silent. Like a plague spreading, it passed amongst the people in the room. Bai Lian Hua looked at the people around him and felt ashamed.

“Say, do you know the people here?” Seeing that the atmosphere had fallen to a strange stalemate, Li Shenzhou glanced at the people around him and said this lightly.

Although his cold and calm nature was no different to his character in the game, it was very different when encountering it offline, No wonder people say that you will never know if the person sitting in front of the computer is a human or a dog.......But this description isn’t right for this scenario. For Song Qingge, rather than being a dog, he had split into two dogs and one of it even had a sex change operation.....

Bai Lian Hua forced himself to look away from Song Qingge’s face but he didn’t know where he should direct his gaze at.

“I don’t know” Song Qingge replied.

To be honest, the true thoughts of Song Qingge was that it wasn’t necessary for him to know them. Even when he was using the Lonely like Snow account, or the Great God account, or White Lotus’s account, he didn’t interact much with the people in the guild. As someone who didn’t like to talk, although he may not have been born like this, but with his acquired habits he had become increasingly silent.

“Wang Hong. Zhao Si. Don’t ask me why only so few people in the guild came.......” Li Shenzhou briefly introduced them and blinked innocently while looking at Song Qingge.

Of course, it was because Chen Tian had specially arranged it. There weren’t a lot of people from the guild and they were players that Bai Lian Hua knew about so it wouldn’t make him too cautious and resist.

Hey, to think that Chen Tian would do something like this with such good intentions.

Just in time to break the deadlock, a sudden sound came from the door. It was not deafening loud, but it was enough to stop the conversation.

“Hello Hello? Can you hear this” Rather than a question, it sounded more like a joke. Not surprisingly, if you didn’t notice the joking tone in the previous sentence, then the latter sentence that followed would be like the punchline, “ F*ck. I knew that bastard from the company with that ugly as f*ck chrysanthemum face would save money by getting these cheap sh*t.”

The people outside the door heard this and laughed but the people inside were shocked.

“Why do I feel....” Bai Lian Hua glanced at Song Qingge and as if he was shocked by electricity, he quickly moved his gaze to Chen Tian, “that this voice sounds familiar.”

He didn’t dare to jump to conclusions. After all, voice carried through microphones can be slightly distorted but this voice was too f*cking similar to Yun Yu!

What is Yun Yu doing?! This is a game meet up!

“Ah! It’s already on. Sorry! Sorry!” The laughter from outside was very loud. The man embarrassedly continued, “Hello everyone! Welcome to ‘Shenzhou Shenlu’s’ Game Meeting!”

After a while, another sentence was spoken with a questioning tone, “Where’s the applause?”. This really made the onlookers speechless but some of the more understanding ones clapped their hands.

“No need to guess, it is I, Yun Yu!” Chen Tian exaggeratingly covered his face with his hand, “With such a cheap mouth, if he isn’t Yun Yu then I wouldn’t be able to think of another one!”

The curious baby Wang Hong raised his hand: “Chen Tian teacher! Who is the person who bought the microphone then?”

“Me.” Li Shenzhou said openly acknowledged it. After having said this, the rest of the people became dumbfounded.

The sound continued, “Hello everyone. I am the manager of the game planning department, Yun Yu.”

F*ck. Aren’t you the boss of that small grocery store who likes to sell contraceptives?! No wait, those last few words should be crossed out.........Your mom, with a blink of an eye, you actually became the manager of the gods. This made Bai Lian Hua who is close to graduating and currently trying to find a job feel unfair!

Yun Yu introduced himself and talked about a bunch of nonsense such as the latest game updates and the company’s future plans seriously but without losing his humour. It was undeniable that he is a proficient speaker.

After Yun Yu’s talk was done, he returned back to the private room. He was naturally besieged by everyone and attacked with questions. Facing these questions, Yun Yu only smiled mysteriously and turned to look at Bai Lian Hua: “You’re about to graduate soon right? Once you’ve graduated, come to our branch and work. I’ll help you arrange for a position. How does that sound?”

To think that such luck would suddenly fall from the sky. It was so big that he was stunned!

“But.....the others will gossip.” Bai Lian Hua was moved but still felt bad.

Yun Yu laughed out loud and replied joyously: “There are many people who gossip about me already. A few more people won’t kill me. Anyway, my salary is still taken care of, my shop is still running and I still won’t attend classes.”

“Why” Someone couldn’t help but ask.

Yun Yu just smiled and gave the most reasonable and also most unreasonable answer: “I have a superior.”

Li Shenzhou who had not spoken, did not say anything until the end.

Afterwards, the dishes came and they finally started having their lunch. Once gone, the group left the hotel and Song Qingge went to the airport by himself saying that he only took two days off. Chen Tian went to airport with Bai Lian Hua after packing their belongings and even said a few words that Bai Lian Hua didn’t seem to understand.

For example, it’s not easy to like someone, you have to cherish him, if you miss the opportunity now, you miss it for a whole lifetime etc.

“Your Chen Tian brother hated the fact that he was so timid and weak back then. If he wasn’t too afraid of questioning things and accusing, then he wouldn’t feel so regretful now.”

Time passed and the pain remained. Like his long hair, it drained him of all his nutrients and his soul.

After that, it was as if everything had returned to normal.

Bai Lian Hua logged into the long forgotten game and found that he was at full level and even had many skills that he had never heard of. Great God or Lonely like Snow would from time to time overcome the time difference to accompany him in the game during the day and teach him how to clear dungeons and instances. The interactions between the two had returned to how they were in the past. Bai Lian Hua could no longer understand how he felt about Great God. It may be friendship, may be love, or even a combination of both. He is very satisfied with the current situation though because becoming life-long lovers is much more difficult than life-long friends.

Originally, Bai Lian Hua felt that if things continued like this, it would be good however the calm he was experiencing was soon broken.

As usual in the evening, a team of people formed a group to clear an instance and Great God who was in charge of the main tank position suddenly went offline.

[Team] Looking for Death: F*ck what is going on? Where is Great God?

Great God went offline and the entire team perished.

Feeling disappointed, Bai Lian Hua turned off the game immediately. He dragged his roommates out to accompany him to have some fun before their graduation.

They played around until he received a phone call from Half Crazy Smile.

“A 7.4 magnitude earthquake just hit Song Qingge’s place. Did you hear about it?”

Bai Lian Hua’s entire body started trembling and he felt his heart grow cold.

Chu Zhongtian and the others looked at him questioningly and couldn’t help but ask: “Lian Hua, why are you crying?”

Did he cry? Bai Lian Hua touched his face and found that his hand was covered in cold tears.
