Chapter 133 The Ancient Gong Ancestor
Chapter 133 The Ancient Gong Ancestor
?Patrick hovered in space as he watched the devastated scene of the continent melting. He suddenly noticed something as he spoke to Grace.
"Grace, interface."
[Master/System: Patrick Alexander King/Grace]
[Being: Absolute True Omnivastance]
[Titles: All Verses God. All Voids God. True Supreme Omniarch]
[Power: ???^???^???^????+^????]
[Wives: Athena. Annastasia. Thalia. ?]
[Eternities: Raleigh]
Patrick read the galaxy-designed interface as he saw his nonsensical power, but he remained indifferent and ignored it as he focused on the question mark in his 'wives' column.
"So another one is on the way... I'm looking forward to our meeting."
Patrick spoke as he saw Athena and her two sisters approaching him; he assumed a charming smile as he asked.
"Have you ladies warmed up enough?"
"More like stretched our fingers, but it was fun as long as we were beside you."
Athena replied.
"Well... it's two more hours till midnight; why don't you ladies return to Athos and rest? I will handle the rest."
Patrick spoke as he looked at his watch.
"Why are you in such a rush? Hmm.... could it be that another one of us is coming, huh!?"
Anna asked as she and her sisters squintingly closed up at Patrick. Patrick raised his hands as if surrendering as he spoke.
"You see, ladies, this must be the tiredness affecting you; you have already started imagining things. Don't you think you are being unfair to me?"
"Hmph! Do you think you can trick us? We sisters can sense ourselves the instant one of us activates our systems; you must have also noticed it; that's probably why you are acting strange."
"Ok, how about I handle the ancient families first; we can then chat after I return, deal?"
Patrick spoke as he tried changing the topic; even though they already knew that another one of them would be coming, the three Goddesses still pestered Patrick as they closed up on him.
The billions of cultivators witnessed as the three ladies pestered the One Above; some even giggled inwardly as they found the scene funny. They slowly developed a genuine respect for Patrick as they saw that even he had a soft side. They had only revered him based on his power. As this was a world where the strong were worshiped, it was only natural that the cultivators respected and adored Patrick based on his strength.
But among the billions of cheerful cultivators, one stood with a dejected and depressed expression; this person was Jun Mulan. Jun Mulan had long fallen for Patrick in the Infinite Treasures Mountain; she had heard of the scene where Patrick fought Gong Tieshan and his hundred escorts. And Patrick had warned them from traps, saving her and her escorts from meeting their end. But she became even more infatuated with Patrick after hearing about him from her father.
"Raise your head, Mulan'er; you haven't even asked him yet, and you are already jumping to conclusions. Why don't you do that and see how things go from there?"
Jun Moxie stood beside his daughter as he uttered words of encouragement to her. Even though he encouraged his daughter, he knew he was a little unrealistic. Jun Mulan's beauty would instantly fade into the wind if compared to Patrick's wives; their beauties were omniverses apart.
The scene looked peaceful yet chaotic as the hundred billion cultivators hovered over millions of devastated mountains and terrains, the massive hole still melting as it burned the continent even deeper. But unbeknownst to the cultivators, countless powerful figures hid in the space as they spectated the devastating scene; they had come to investigate who dared challenge the ancient Gong family and their allies, as such actions weren't the norm, offending ancient families.
But contrary to their expectations, even when the ancient families sent trillions of their forces, they were all still wiped out, disregarding the known impossible fact of trillions of cultivators losing; what was more disbelieving was that all it took was four beings to exterminate the ancient families, and even worse, it was done in less than an incense stick of time. Thinking about these impossible feats, the hidden figures felt fear and terror as they stared at the four beings in the distance.
Some thought as they remembered the name the hundred-plus billions of cultivators chanted earlier; One Above.
The news of a being called One Above exterminating trillions of the ancient family forces instantly spread the Immortal Realm like wildfire as almost every superpower now knew about the One Above. Another spreading news was how the Overlord of the West, the Bored Immortal, and the Jian and Jun ancient families were also serving this One Above, which left every powerhouse suspicious and speechless.
What would have made the arrogant West Overlord and prideful Jian family serve this unknown One Above? Even the ancient Jun family, who swore never to involve in outside matters, were also serving this One Above; the Jun patriarch was even the leading general in the first battle. Countless of these thoughts roamed in the minds of the numerous powerhouses as they became increasingly curious about the called One Above. They arrived at the scene without wasting time and hid in the space void. They came to see just who this One Above was.
The current scene looked peaceful when suddenly, a deathly pressure descended on the scene as the overbearing pressure instantly caused the spaces to shatter. The skies cleared as the moon's illuminance shone down on the scene. Sensing the unbearable pressure, the Bored Overlord bellowed with widened eyes; he knew exactly who was coming, causing the descent of such deathly pressure.
"Everyone! Protect your consciousness!"
Unfortunately for the Overlord, his warning was late. The hundred billion plus cultivators heard the Bored Immortal, but simultaneously, they felt their consciousness attacked as they began falling from the sky like dead birds crashing down the earth. Only a few cultivators remained; the Bored Immortal, the Jian Ancestors, and Jun Moxie. Raleigh and lady Marine were fine, of course.
Patrick noticed the pressure in the sky, but he and his wives remained unbothered as they were completely unaffected. Thalia raised her head as she spoke.
"Looks like someone is eager to meet their ancestors, rushing to be executed."
"He may come for his execution, but I decide where he will be executed, so his arrival is irrelevant... excuse me, ladies."
Patrick spoke as he flew up to the atmosphere of the planet.
Hovering in the void of the planet was an old man; the old man was fair-skinned, ten feet tall, and had a massive build; he had long white hair and a beard. He wore an extravagant ancient golden-colored gown with thick golden arm braces. The old man hovered in the void with hands behind him as he exuded an overbearing and deathly pressure. He had a disgruntled gaze as he emotionlessly stared at Patrick.
Patrick floated in equal elevation with the old man as he boringly stared at the ten feet tall being.
"..."
Both beings hovered with domineering attitudes as they inspected each other, more like the old man inspected Patrick. Patrick broke the silence as he spoke.
"Not bad entrance, but you have more to lea-
What are you?"
The old man interrupted Patrick. He continued.
"That strength, speed, exploding raw power, and making billions of cultivators physically unkillable. All of these aren't something a human cultivator can accomplish, not even after reaching the unknown realm; you are not from this universe, are you?"
"... Didn't your ancient ancestors teach you not to interrupt someone when speaking?... Sigh!... I must compensate for their failures and teach you manners."
"... This old man has been alive longer than you can comprehend, and never have I seen someone start a suicide battle without a cause, so tell me, is it revenge or pure stupidity?"
"Sigh!... Your parents failed you as their son; you not only lack proper manners but are also shortsighted; even after hinting at your lack of manners, you still disregard it."
Patrick spoke with a disappointed expression; he continued.
"But since you have a few more minutes of existing, I will spare you this; no, I'm not after revenge. I told your descendant, Gong Tieshan, that his family would pay the price if he crossed me again; as you can see, I'm close to completing my word."
Patrick spoke with open arms as he slowly assumed his impassive face. But contrary to Patrick, the Gong ancient ancestor's face slowly changed to rage as he spoke.
"How blasphemous! How dare a mere outworld brat challenge my Ancient Gong family! After thoroughly trashing some manners into you, I shall exterminate you a trillion times. Afterward, I will seal your and all your allies' consciousness in an endless cycle of eternal suffering... Time Dao, time halt!"
The Gong ancestor raged as he activated his Dao, and as stated, the scene went completely still as time stopped. Simultaneously, the Gong ancestor darted at Patrick at an unscalable speed as he aimed to punch Patrick. But unbeknownst to the Gong ancestor, Patrick was faster; Patrick stood as he watched the Gong ancestor in a time-frozen state with clenched fists, aiming to punch him. Even though the ancient Gong ancestor had activated his Time Dao, he was still stuck in a time-stop state as Patrick was infinitely faster, and besides, Patrick exists beyond time and space itself. Patrick chuckled and spoke.
"Time Dao-huh!... not bad. But like I said before, you are massively lacking."
Patrick then lightly body-chopped the Gong ancestor on the right side. He then greatly reduced his speed as he returned everything to normal. The Gong ancestor, thinking Patrick was time-frozen, tightly clenched his right fist as he aimed to punch Patrick in the face, but then, as if getting hit by a septillion-ton object, the old man felt his right ribs instantly pulverize as he got sent countless lightyears away in the empty void.
The space shattered as the Gong ancestor got sent millions of light years into the emptiness; one could even see the massive trail of space-shattering left behind by the unconscious flying body of the Gong ancestor. The Gong ancestor unconsciously spewed mouthfuls of blood mixed with pulverized guts as his body still flew across the darkness. Sometime later, he regained consciousness and stopped his body from flying away.
"Cough! Wha...What just happened?! My Dao is still activated; everything should be halted with time, so how was I attacked?! Could it be that he wasn't affected?"
The Gong ancestor thought as he was baffled; he couldn't fathom what had just happened. His Dao was still activated, yet he was attacked, which means someone or something was unaffected by his Dao. He thought that Patrick must be unaffected, but this thought came with a wave of terrifying emotions and suspicion as he thought of how strong Patrick must be to be unaffected completely by his Time-Dao.
"Done thinking?"
Suddenly, the old man heard Patrick's voice from behind him; he instinctively burst out with an overwhelming wave of golden energy as he bellowed. "Ancient Turtle Beast Defensive Dao!" The darkness instantly cleared as the golden energy erupting from the old man shone for lightyears in the distance. Then, a ten million feet massive turtle spirit formed from the exploding golden energy; the turtle completely formed as it grunted loudly, its grunt so loud it shook the void.
The Gong old man now hovered in the void with his body covered in the thick golden energy of the turtle spirit beast. His wounds instantly healed, and he assumed a healthy expression. Hovering above Patrick like a king, the Gong ancestor demeaningly stared at Patrick and condescendingly spoke.
"Here ends your pointless tricks... Heaven star slash!"
The Gong old man swung his arm as a massive energy slash was launched at Patrick; the energy was so massive that Patrick was like a dot compared to it. Patrick remained unfazed as he watched the enormous energy instantly reach him; he didn't even bother dodging and allowed his body to get hit. A loud, exaggerated boom resounded as the surrounding void shattered like glass. The massive explosion died down, revealing Patrick.
Patrick was completely unaffected; not even his robe was scatted. He slowly approached the Gong old man, enshrouded in the massive turtle spirit, as he spoke mockingly.
"Is that all you got?"
