Chapter 86 A Multiversal Entity
Chapter 86 A Multiversal Entity
?Previously, over three hundred cultivators enthusiastically rushed for the second floor of the ancient tower as their eyes glittered with greed; they arrived on the second floor and saw the glittering complied mountains of treasures, but just when a female cultivator was about to reach for a sword-looking treasure, she noticed a glint of light slowly lit from beneath her feet, as if realizing her mistake, the female cultivator immediately assumed a frightening countenance as she burst with screams before been obliterated to pieces. Boom! A resounding explosion occurred, causing the entire floor to be blinded by the exploding light.
Patrick stood on the fourth floor of the tower as he heard the bellowing cries of the cultivators before there were instantly obliterated to their deaths. The clangorous explosions caused the tower to tremble as the ground shook under Patrick's feet; squatting with slightly bent knees, Patrick launched directly into the roof of the fourth floor, his figure penetrating the stone ceiling as he continued smashing through the ceilings of the upper floors. The next moment, explosions louder than the previous one began as a certain figure barraged through the ancient tower, heading for the highest floor, three hundred feet high.
The cultivators occupying the first floor heard the loud explosions which occurred on the second floor; they felt the trembling of the tower as the ground intensely vibrated under them; this caused fear in the hearts of many as some immediately shivered in trepidation, some thanked their ancestors for not going with the last group. Still recovering from the previous disastrous exploding event, the cultivators then heard louder explosions resound from the tower's higher floors; they saw the crumbles of the building falling as some unhesitantly flashed from their locations, appearing outside the tower after. The Spiral Sword Celestial used his swords as he easily sliced the falling crumbles; the girl used a red lotus flower as it shielded her from the falling rubbles.
"What the hell is going on? Why did the tower suddenly begin crumbling?"
"It must be related to that silver-haired array master; only he was able to climb the higher floors-"
"Look! Someone is continuously crashing through the floors."
The cultivators stood outside the tower as they saw the continuous breaking through of the upper floors; all they could see was the three hundred feet tall ancient building almost crumbling as a figure heavily crashed through it, directly heading for the highest floor. Not long after, the explosions died down as the cultivators saw the highest floor of the ancient tower lit up.
Patrick barged through the floors as he finally reached the one-hundredth floor, standing in the extremely darkroom; he spoke.
"Aren't you going to welcome your guest?."
SNAP!
A sound of fingers snapping echoed in the darkroom as the next instant, the room lit up.
Multiple blue flames brilliantly shone in the room as they instantly cleared the darkness, revealing an enormous hall. Six blue flaming pillars stood erected within the hall as they radiated with godly energies; the six blue flaming pillars stood rows of three on both sides of the hall as their scorching blue flames lit the room. A figure floated in the void, centered between the pillars and in a lotus position; there were six chains attached to his wrist, three on each wrist, and these chains were linked to the six blue flaming pillars in the hall. The floating individual was an old man with the body of a youngling; the old man had long red hair and clear red pupils. He held his left fingers in the air, signaling he was the person that previously snapped his fingers. The next second, the old man had a scrutinizing gaze as he then burst out in laughter, his voice reverberating the entire dimension after.
"Hahaha...! Good, good, a person with such luck and body constitution has finally made it to the one-hundredth floor. Congratulations, lad, you have proven to be the luckiest individual in this cosmic timeline. Now, what is your name?"
Patrick calmly stood as he watched the old man burst into laughter; he casually spectated the hall's surroundings as he couldn't find any treasures or array traps. Listening to the old man's question, he spoke.
"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"
The old man, who had a smiley expression, instantly lost his smile and assumed a serious countenance upon hearing Patrick's reply. Slowly unfolding his feet from the lotus position, the old man landed on the ground bear footed as he began approaching Patrick with an unimpressed expression. He wore a silky red robe with multiple array patterns; he was 6'5" tall. He stood three meters away from Patrick as he spoke.
"Kid, you are a child with immense luck, but even lucky people experience unlucky events. I ask again, what's your name?"
The old man maintained a calm demeanor as he asked his question; he didn't even release an ounce of Qi. He only stared at Patrick scrutinizingly as he waited for a proper response.
Patrick stood facing the old man while still keeping his calm and unimpressed expression, but instead of answering the old man's question, Patrick walked closer to the old man, standing at an equal height with the man as he spoke while looking directly a the old man.
"Have you perhaps lost your manners while being imprisoned?"
The old man stared into Patrick's eyes as he saw the seriousness and unwavering demeanor, but the next moment.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, Not bad lad! Not only are you the luckiest, but you are also the fearless person I have encountered in the last two trillion years, well, at least in this cosmic timeline. But being lucky and fearless won't cut it; you also have to prove your strength before knowing my name, or else-"
As if a completely different person, the old man instantly switched from the serious and expressionless person to the now laughing and welcoming old man. Both people seemed completely different from each other. But just when the old man spoke about legacy and strength testing, Patrick interrupted.
"I know you are acting, old man?."
Again, the old man's expression switched to that of serious as he stared at Patrick; he took two steps as his large, heavy chains dragged behind him, maintaining his serious attitude, the old man spoke.
"It seems not only are you lucky and fearless; you also have keen eyes, three in one. It makes this old man even jealous. I noticed you are good with formations; those array formations you deactivated were merely level ten arrays I made due to my boredom, but I can teach you my infinite array cultivation; with it, every non-living object you touch will be multiplied infinitely, you won't need to suffer for the rest of your existence."
Patrick watched the old man speak as Grace read the old man's information.
[Name: Raleigh Osborn]
[Age: 50 Trillion]
[Power: God (Sealed)]
[Ability: Infinite Array Dao; A Dao art created in the god domain; can draw power directly from the god domain to supplement the user, creates an array that infinitely multiplies anything non-living]
[History: After inheriting the Infinite Array Dao from within an unknown void, Raleigh Osborn became the invincible array god in the Array Cosmos, but after ascending to godhood, the primordial gods of the Array Cosmos sealed his god powers and chained him to the six primordial blue flaming pillars, he was later forced to produce treasures and resources for every world until the six primordial blue flaming pillars rot or decay]
Patrick heard the old man's data as he then spoke.
"If I were an ordinary person, I would have instantly accepted your proposal, but I'm not. So, tell me, old man, what do you want in return for granting me your Infinite Array Dao?"
'Hmm? This lad has quite the willpower; to be capable of restraining his desires for wealth, not even Saints of this immortal realm can do that. All the previous individuals from other worlds failed my test of an unmoving heart and controlled desires. If this lad can master my Infinite Array Dao, those primordial bastards will suffer.'
"Lad, seeing that you have an unwavering heart and controlled desires, I will teach you my Infinite Array Dao; in return, you must trouble some hypocrites who called themselves six primordial gods of the Array Cosmos for me, do you agree?"
Patrick ignored the old man's question as he instead spoke.
"I don't need your Dao. But I have a better proposal, become my servant, and I shall set you free."
Hearing Patrick's words, the old man frowned and spoke.
"Lad, I admire your confident and unwavering heart, but freeing me isn't something the likes of you can accomplish. These pillars are called the six primordial blue flame pillars; each one is a high god-level artifact, something you have never heard of; it requires the six primordial gods of the Array Cosmos before they even move; what makes you think you can free me?"
But while the old man was speaking to Patrick, Patrick only uttered one word.
"Break."
