Chapter 161 [Bonus ] The Cult

Chapter 161 [Bonus ] The Cult

After dumping all the items in his dimensional storage and paying the gold coins, Raydon said, "Thank you for your service," and hurried out of the shop.

He was eager to get back home and get started on all of his plans as soon as possible, not just because he was excited about the crafting but also because he was excited about the body enchantments he would use.

He quickly retraced his steps out of the item market and into the antique shop. Upon entering, he saw the shopkeeper and his employee slumped over the sofa, both fast asleep after a two-day stretch of no sleep. He was going to inquire as to whether or not Fehim had returned, but he doubted they would have noticed in their current condition.

''It's probably for the best if I don't run into that zombie for a while.  I'll have to make up an excuse if he starts questioning me about the item set. '' After some consideration, Raydon headed back home from the antique shop.

"These fellas are really....,"  Shortly thereafter, Raydon returned to his neighborhood, where the sight of the neighborhood in front of his apartment building caused his head to begin to ache.

"Hey, you're kneeling on both knees, that's not right. You have been selected as the master's apprentice. His servants were the only ones who would kneel on both knees. Look at me carefully; you will get down on one knee, place your right hand on your chest, and say, ''Welcome back, master.'' ''

Fatty Sami demonstrated for the audience in front of him by bending down to one knee while carrying his extra weight.

Looking at the group in front of him, Sami commanded, "Now say with me at the same time."

Besides the ten people Raydon picked, everyone in the warehouse was there to learn how to properly greet their master from Sami.

"Wait a minute, grandpa, what are you doing? Why are you down on one knee? You are not his apprentice. '' Sami was about to utter the greeting phrase when he saw the senile old man leaning on one knee and putting his right hand on his chest at the front of the crowd.

''What do you mean I'm not his apprentice? Of course, I am his apprentice; I am about to awaken and become an item holder. '' Without any teeth left in his mouth, the old man yelled.

''Let the old man do as he pleases. Just keep your cool, old man; we don't want another spike in your blood pressure. '' On her knees in the back row, one of the aunts calmly appeased the senile old man.

"Damn, you're messing up the whole thing. Boss, say something to the grandpa. '' Sami turned around to tell Dan indignantly.

Dan, who had been sparring with Karan and Pana in the background, sighed and stopped training.

''Sami, don't you think we might be going a little overboard here? Plus, don't you think the master will be annoyed if he sees us all gathered in front of his house like this? ''

Sami took a moment after hearing these words before responding with a laugh.

''What the hell are you talking about, boss? We owe it to our divine and generous master to demonstrate our devotion to him in some way. And really, what else can we do? When our seniors are present, we can't even take on the responsibility of guarding this location; at the very least, let's do the welcoming. ''

Everyone paused and started to think in response to Sami's words. Everything he said was correct. There was nothing left for them to do after their last encounter with Tika, as they had found that Raydon's other apprentices were present and guarding the area. The only thing left for them to do was to work hard to awaken as an item holder or to welcome Raydon home.

Due to the fact that only Dan has been an item holder up until this point, they have continued their arduous efforts while also looking for new ways to serve Raydon.

"Okay, we're going to do it again. This time, everyone should follow the rules, and you, old man, should at least move to the back so you don't embarrass the master.'' Sami turned once more and yelled to the group after observing that Dan remained silent and nodded.

''Okay, when I count to three, you all say the greeting phrase at the same time,'' Sami said, beginning to count.

''1… ''

''Welcome back, master. ''

When Sami said 1, everyone got down on their knees and shouted at the same time.

''Are you all idiots? I only said 1. You will do it when I say 3. Putting aside the old man, why are you all getting down on both knees? '' Sami's temper flared, and he began to shout again. This time, the old man did it right, but everyone else messed up.

After a while, however, he started to have doubts when he realized that nobody was listening to him and that they were still kneeling.

''Are you guys just trying to rest because you're tired? '' Sami thought that everyone was ignoring him so they could get some rest, and he was about to complain to Dan again when he saw Dan, Pana, and Karan all kneeling down and looking in the same direction.

''Wait… Don't tell me? '' As Sami began to process what was happening, he turned around and looked back at Raydon, who was standing there and watching them with a composed expression on his face and deep gray eyes.

''Welcome back, master. ''

As soon as he saw Raydon, he knelt down on both knees to greet him.

''Yes, you may now lift your head. '' Raydon said coolly, but secretly he was cursing.

'Have these morons become a full-fledged cult at last? Before my sanity completely collapses, I think I should get out of here as soon as possible. '

Even though Raydon intended to use Dan and his crew for errands and intelligence gathering in the future, the sight of them gave him the creeps.

"Master, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to report on what occurred while you were absent." As Raydon planned his escape from this cult, Dan stepped forward, knelt once more, and said.
