Chapter 165 [Bonus ] Emberheart?

Chapter 165 [Bonus ] Emberheart?

Raydon spent a considerable amount of time attempting to quell the burning sensation in his body before he finally figured out that it was connected to his feelings.

''So, apparently, my eagerness is igniting these flames? Dude, this might be a serious issue for me, '' He murmured to himself.

Raydon was normally adept at controlling his emotions, and he had mastered a variety of techniques. However, being able to control his emotions at will does not imply that he wishes to control them all of the time.

He was an enthusiastic gamer who relished life with a sense of wonder and anticipation. And among these feelings, eagerness—the one he had experienced the most frequently over the course of his life and the one he had enjoyed the most—had now become his kryptonite.

Eagerness was a strong feeling of excitement or anticipation for a certain event, activity, or result. It is characterized by a strong desire to start or begin something new, as well as a willingness to face challenges or take risks in order to achieve a desired goal.

When doing something, Raydon, who was always eager, frequently feels a sense of urgency or impatience and may find it challenging to wait or delay gratification. He also did most of the things he did in the past without thinking about the consequences for this reason.

Overall, he found that excitement was a motivating and empowering feeling that, when he accomplishes his goals, can bring about a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Raydon's eagerness, which is typically accompanied by physical symptoms such as an elevated heart rate, rapid breathing, and heightened senses, was now also accompanied by a burning effect of his body.

''Damn, I need to get this under control as soon as possible. ''

He gave his thoughts some more time to settle, after which he made the decision to look in the mirror to see if anything had changed.

But just as he thought he had his emotions under control, the gray smoke began to rise from beneath his feet with the first step he took once more, and he stopped and swore.

''Fuck this shit. ''

Raydon's eagerness to check out his improved appearance in the mirror triggered his body's burning ability.

He regained his composure and took a step forward once more, but this time he didn't put any expectations on himself and instead began to consider it as any time he looked in the mirror on a daily basis.

And it succeeded. When Raydon could finally walk without any problem, he stood in front of the mirror.

When he examined his reflection in the mirror, he did not observe any significant changes to his appearance. However, the black spot on his chest and the black veins radiating from it had completely vanished, leaving only a pale tattoo with a pattern resembling gray crocodile scales that completely covered his chest.

''It looks like dragon scales,'' He said, running his finger along the speck that covered his chest and extended to his neck. When touched, all he felt was his own smooth skin. This pale gray design looked and felt just like a tattoo.

Raydon looked him over carefully for a while and concluded that there was nothing else outwardly different about him. "All right, let's check out the character panel and see what's new."

After saying this, he quickly regained his composure, having realized that his body's burning effect had once again been activated.

While he was aware of this body enchantment's drawback, he was still unsure of its hidden feature and hoped to find some answers in his character panel.

''Ashen Heart? Green? What the hell is going on? What happened to the Emberheart? ''

Raydon was astonished by what he saw when he examined his body enchantments. There was no sign of the blue-grade body enchantment that should have been there, and the name was still written as Ashen Heart instead of Emberheart.

He then took a look at his newly improved HP and saw the Ash attribute sitting right next to it. ''Wait. How come Ash is now a part of my HP too? It's supposed to acquire the attribute of fire, right? Has Ashen Heart actually absorbed Emberheart? ''

''A divine fire ignites in the person's soul, purifying them from head to toe and empowering them to achieve heights beyond their own race, as well as granting them +2000 MP and +2000 HP of the pure fire type. ''

In his mind, Raydon repeated Emberheart's earlier description of the system's display. According to the same system, he appeared to have gained 2000 MP and HP, but there was still a great mystery remaining.

Even the additional +200 mana granted by Eye of the Ash Gnome, which he had previously used, appeared to be included in his original mana.

''According to the shopkeeper, since Emberheart is blue-grade, it was supposed to replace Ashenheart, which is White-grade. However, why is it the other way around? Ashen Heart has also been upgraded to the "green" grade. ''

He looked for a rational explanation but came up empty. He reasoned that this body enchantment's secret feature had something to do with the fact that the +200 he had written next to his MP was now a part of his MP itself.

Raydon concentrated on the system's body enchantments section in the hopes of seeing Ashen Heart's features once more. True to his expectation, the system actually displayed to Raydon the newly updated features of Ashen Heart.

''Man… Now this is a huge surprise. How is this a green grade body enchantment? '' When he found out about the updates to Ashen Heart, he could hardly contain his excitement.
