Chapter 173 6. Match (Part 2)

After Raydon's strategy was successfully used to eliminate the mob, he reemerged from the water and exclaimed.

''Nice, my other body enchantment is working as well. '' Looking at the experience point he had earned, he said.

''Well, while I'm fighting, I think I can hold my breath for about an hour. '' In preparation for the upcoming farming season, which he would soon begin, Raydon once more began planning.

Due to his high stamina, he could typically hold his breath for hours at a time. However, while fighting, this time would decrease, and the burning aspect of his body enchantment would also make it difficult for him to do so.

Fortunately, though, his plan didn't require him to hold his breath for very long.

Raydon prepared himself, took a deep breath, and chanted as he dove into the water holding his burning chain.

''Flame Burst. ''

He activated the skill of the gloves he wore under the gauntlets and began moving like a torpedo in the water, making use of the skill's 30-second duration.

As Raydon moved through the water, he activated the chain's elongation feature, and the 1-meter-long chain in his hand suddenly reached its maximum 35-meter-long length and began to drift behind him, igniting the water and causing it to evaporate.

He just kept swimming straight in the direction of the most fish, completely ignoring the fish that came his way. The chain he was holding in his hand was enough to cause the water around him to boil, which would kill any fish he passed.

A considerable amount of time had passed as Raydon descended into the ocean's depths, boiling every monster in his path. Then, just as his Flame Burst skill was about to run out, he changed his course and headed back towards the water's surface.

After a while, the duration of his skill ran out; however, thanks to the momentum he had already built up, he was able to return to the water's surface without having to slow down.

He looked at the number of experience points that were awarded to him for the dozens of fish that he had killed in a matter of seconds and said, "Good, it really works very well."

There was only one issue with this strategy, and that was the fact that Raydon couldn't activate it by simply uttering the name of the skill while he was underwater. Because of this, each time before the Flame Burst skill ran out, he had to immediately begin swimming upwards toward the surface.

'In any case, the cooldown of one minute isn't very long. I believe that if I kill a school of fish every minute, I will be able to increase my record for the number of mobs I have killed in previous matches. '

He gave it some thought, and then, while he was waiting for the cooldown of his skill to end, he used the Death Sense skill to determine the location of the next group of fish to attack.

''Finally, I found them. '' After Raydon had been fishing for almost an hour, he finally spotted five HP bars a little further ahead in the ocean. These bars were different from the [60/60] HP bars that he had seen up to this point.

[20/20]

[80/150]

[37/40]

[30/30]

[84/90]

"Fortunately, the other team was not as useless as my team, and they managed to survive until now," he said with a wry smile.

As soon as Raydon realized that he was able to use his Flame Burst skill once more, he launched an assault on the opposing team in the same manner in which he had eliminated the previous mobs.

When he got close enough, he saw the opposing team of five fighting two Irontooth Razorfin. This time, he observed that the foe was green, had pointed ears, and stood no more than one meter tall, and he reflected on this.

''Aren't they goblins? ''

And the response came to him very quickly. Raydon moved through this group of five green foes who had only just noticed him, and he scalded them all with his chain of black flames in the same way that he had done to the fish mobs earlier.

[Lv.9 Gob-Man(F-Rank) has been killed.]

[You gained 180 experience points.]

[Lv.8 Gob-Man(F-Rank) has been killed.]

[Your team gained 8 points.]

[You gained 160 experience points.]

..

[Lv.6 Gob-Man(F-Rank) has been killed.]

'Gob-Man? What a terrible sense of naming.'  He thought as he saw the name of the race. He was also pleased to see that his body enchantment doubled his experience of killing the opposing team.

After eliminating everyone from the opposing team, Raydon went back to the location where they had been killed and collected the items before making his way back to the surface. Due to the fact that it would take so much time, he decided to leave behind a good number of the fish that had been killed earlier, which resulted in the match not producing a significant amount of loot for him.

He placed a high value on the gold coins that could be obtained from the loot, but in light of the fact that he could double the number of experience points that he obtained, he made the decision to focus all of his efforts on gaining more experience points during this run.

After collecting the items and returning to the surface, he continued his search for his next target, the Region Boss. And fortunately, without having to look very hard, he quickly located the HP bar at the bottom of the ocean, which most likely belonged to Region Boss.

[1300/1300]

''It appears that in an F-Rank match, my current HP is higher than that of the Region Boss. ''
