Chapter 328 Kill Stealing (Part 2)

?

Arora, the first to regain her composure, responded to Raydon's question with a parched voice. "Yes."

Raydon acknowledged her answer, his voice filled with tenacity. "Good. I will be waiting for you there." Uttering those resolute words, he harnessed the meager amount of mana he had managed to regenerate, unleashing his Shadow Passage skill and vanishing into a swirling vortex of black smoke.

Raydon was aware that relying solely on his berserker technique and pushing his body to its new limits would not be sufficient for him to accomplish his goal of reaching the destination he had set for himself. In order to claim his kill, he had to make the most of his mana and try to catch up to the 10-person team as quickly as he could.

The intense heat and discomfort that had been radiated from Raydon dissipated as soon as he was no longer there, leaving the battle maids to stand there in silence while they gasped for air.

In the aftermath, Verda muttered absentmindedly, "He really didn't chant the skill name." The realization struck her and the others with certainty. Raydon possessed the ability to use his skills without uttering their names.

After Verda and the others witnessed Raydon's innate skill for the first time, they continued to have some reservations about it; however, after seeing it again, they are positive about it. To use this skill, he really did not need to say its name at all.

"How many more features does his title have?" Feline added.

They speculated that Raydon's ability to use his skill without uttering its name was due to his title. And as the battle maids observed his impressive stats and mastery of techniques, despite the fact that he was only at level 1, they started to understand that his title, "Master of All," held an even greater enigma and power than they had initially presumed it would.

"Arora, start disrupting their team with your spirit crows. We need to hasten our pace as well," Nysora instructed, disregarding the discussions among the others.

She, too, couldn't help but ponder the extent of Raydon's abilities and speculate about the extraordinary title he possessed. However, now was not the time to dwell on such thoughts.

Above all else, knowing that Raydon was pushing himself to his limits and causing harm to his own body, Nysora had to focus her attention on how they could provide him with the best possible assistance.

"Ah, I wish Belicia and even that cunning Tika were here as well," Nysora sighed, her words filled with longing.

While the six of them were struggling to keep up with Raydon's pace, she believed that if they were all united, they could offer him better support.

"My liege, I'll handle these bothersome crows if you desire," the individual clad in a crimson robe, bearing a striking resemblance to a lion, with a face featuring golden-hued hair and a disheveled brown mane encircling his head, offered in a tone filled with immense respect.

This person, who typically regarded others with disdain and always exuded an air of authoritative sharpness in his dark brown eyes, now displayed complete submission and reverence as he gazed upon the figure standing before him, a massive sword resting casually on his shoulder.

''Hmm. ''

The individual addressed as "my liege" furrowed his brow slightly, momentarily diverting his obsidian-black gaze from his servants engaged in combat with the colossal monster before them, and turned his attention to the dozens of crows soaring through the sky.

The deep scar running from his forehead to his chin gave the impression of a seasoned warrior. Moreover, standing at nearly 2.5 meters tall, his muscles, resembling hardened stone, were prominently visible through the full-body metal armor he donned, evoking the notion that he could effortlessly cleave any E-Rank adversary in half with a single swing of his colossal sword.

"It's not worth the trouble. Just concentrate on the Region Boss," the lion-man replied with a dismissive snort, redirecting his intense gaze towards the towering six-meter monster before them.

"Your words are my command, my liege," the lion-man, who had previously posed the question, bowed his head and spoke with admiration, marveling at the majestic sight of their master's golden mane shimmering like molten gold as it swayed in the gentle breeze.

The 10-member lion-man team had located the Region Boss just five minutes after the match had begun, and ever since then, they had been engaged in a grueling battle. They had no time to deal with any additional foes, so they shifted their complete attention to the Region Boss they had fought so valiantly against, who was now covered in deep wounds and was very close to death.

"My liege, the Region Boss's health is dwindling, nearing 5%," the lion man in the red robe reported, his gaze fixed upon the grotesque figure before them. The Region Boss resembled a colossal mass of green snot, akin to a giant, writhing pudding.

''Good, back down at 1%, '' the leader of the lion men responded, raising the colossal sword that had been resting on his shoulder and preparing for a final strike. Up until this point, he had fought with a great deal of power and resilience, and he was now getting ready to deal the fatal blow himself, which would ensure that he would receive a larger share of the experience points.

"Yes, my liege..." The lion man in the red robe began to respond, but his words were cut short as he noticed movement among the flock of crows soaring through the sky. His attention swiftly shifted towards them.

"Audacious!" he exclaimed in a voice filled with fury upon witnessing the previously observing crows now launching an attack, just moments before the Region Boss would meet its demise.

"It seems the onlookers are attempting to steal my prey," the leader of the lion men remarked, a low growl infused with pride and anger resonating in his voice.

He recognized that the crows, which had been monitoring their battle for some time, belonged to an enemy team. However, he dismissed them as inconsequential, believing they lacked the courage to pose a threat or launch an assault.

After all, they were the only team with ten members in the match, and their natural pride as members of the lion man race made them look down on all the other teams, deeming them weak and unworthy of their attention.

However, their anger surged uncontrollably at the sight of a cowardly team daring to attack them and attempting to steal their hard-earned prey.

"You handle these birds and find their controller. Once we deal with this, they will be our next target," the Boss lion-man declared with a menacing growl, striding purposefully toward the battered body of the Region Boss.

"Yes, my liege," the lion man in the red robe responded, his voice filled with fear as he sensed the intensity of his master's rage and his lethal intent.

Turning his attention back to the crows, he sneered sarcastically, "Your courage serves no purpose other than sheer stupidity."

Had they chosen to simply observe without disturbing them, they might have survived until the end of the match. But now, their audacious behavior had enraged their master and drawn his attention, sealing their fate and dooming them to their own demise.
