Chapter 71 Level 11 In An F-Rank Match?

Chapter 71 Level 11 In An F-Rank Match?

Raydon looked at the first one and thought, ignoring the other strange titles. 'Level 11? I thought leveling up after 9 in an F-Rank match was extremely difficult. '

Normally, leveling up was difficult due to the limited experience gained from killing mobs in F-Rank matches. It was also clear that after level 9, leveling up required a significant amount of experience. As a result, those who stuck in F-Rank generally lagged behind in level.

Raydon turned to face his teammates. Everyone appeared to be Raydon's age or a few years older, except for one middle-aged man. This man was dressed in a suit, wore a fedora hat, and was carrying a walking stick.

''Hahaha, as usual, I seem to have found another dream team.'' The man greeted his teammates by opening his arms and shouting loudly.

Due to his loud voice, Raydon experienced ringing in his ears and a momentary feeling of lightheadedness, but he quickly recovered. The same thing had obviously happened to other team members as well.

''Uncle, aren't you a little too loud? '' While covering her ears, the blonde girl spoke. She was simultaneously scanning the area. She must have been worried that the noise would draw the attention of nearby mobs.

''Oh, sorry, sorry, I got carried away with excitement hahaha. '' This time, he spoke quietly and calmly.

''Sir, are you the one holding the title of Gentleman? '' The young man, who had black hair and brown eyes, asked curiously, holding a small shield in his hand.

Since titles typically reflect the personalities of the people who own them, and since the middle-aged man was the only one among them whose appearance shouted, "I am a gentleman," the young man made this assumption right away.

"Yes, it's me; greetings, pleased to meet you. '' The man bowed slightly and greeted again in a gentlemanly manner.

''This is better than your shockingly loud voice before. By the way, I just realized you're level 11. Well, it has to be true because you look old. How long did it take you to get to this level? Why didn't you advance to the next rank? Or are you actually weak? '' The robed young man spoke up, holding a long staff and wearing glasses that were unusual for an item holder.

''Haha, actually, I am not considered weak; in fact, you can say I am pretty strong. My friends simply state that the next rank is too dangerous for me, so I should remain at this rank. My only goal is to have fun during the matches. In order to reset the win streak, I sometimes stay behind and wait to lose. ''

The man added. His goal was clear: he didn't want to gain power or compete. He viewed matches as a type of game in which he could pass the time and have fun.

Raydon looked at the man with a frown. These were the types of teammates he preferred the least to play with in his previous life. These were the sons of b*tches who refused to participate in team fights and instead sat in the back and waited for the game to end. There was also another type known as feeders, but he chose to ignore them because he reasoned that it would be impossible to describe them using only profanity.

''This isn't one of them, is it? I really don't want to lose. '' The young man with the shield asked hastily.

''No, no, my win streak is only 1 right now, so it's okay for me to win this match. Haha ''

''It seems as though I've heard of you before. If I recall correctly, a few friends mentioned a senior F-ranker dressed in a suit. '' The blonde girl spoke after some thought.

''Oh, what did they say? Is he really strong? '' The young man with glasses questioned.

''I am not sure. Both claimed they died during the match and were unable to witness his power. Ah, but this has nothing to do with Uncle; they both stated that they died as a result of their own stupidity.'' She spoke quickly, concerned that they would misunderstand.

''Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. That's right, someone from my team can die from time to time. So this is to be expected; after all, I can't protect everyone.'' The man expressed regret.

''Good, then you can assist us in winning this match. In F-Rank matches, I don't believe there are many high-level item holders like you. This is a sure win for us.''  With a grin, the young man with glasses said.

"All right, then, let's get started without wasting time, shall we? " With a gentle smile, he spoke while turning to face his teammates. Finally, his gaze settled on Raydon. He had obviously extended an invitation for him to join them.

Others also observed this but kept quiet. After all, they had already decided to make this man the leader of their team. They resolved to carry out his instructions. Raydon's status as a level 1 newbie was irrelevant.

Of course, it didn't take them long to figure out that Raydon was the team's level 1 player. Despite the fact that everyone else's clothing appeared to be consistent, Raydon's was utterly disorganized. The half-open zipper of his jacket revealed that he wasn't even wearing a t-shirt.

Since the item holders tend to come from large families, they generally paid more attention to the harmony of the items' appearances than they did to their skill set, especially in F-Rank matches.

Raydon gave the face of the middle-aged man a long, thoughtful look. 'This is interesting. '

And said, ''Sure.''

He decided to join the team this time.

''This is fantastic. I have an excellent investigative-type skill, so you can rely on me to locate mobs.''

He closed his eyes and slammed the cane on the ground, saying the next word.

''Scan.''

After some time, he slowly opened them again and spoke while pointing at a nearby hill. ''Looks like there's a worm-shaped mob hiding behind that hill. Let's go and check. ''
