Chapter 93 Big Disappointment
Chapter 93 Big Disappointment
He stepped back and grinned after forcing the grenade into the burly man's head hole.
"Let's test whether the inside of your head is as sturdy as the outside. "
*BOOM*
As the grenade exploded, blood and brain fragments poured from the burly man's eye sockets and mouth. But surprisingly, it appeared that his skull was still present.
''Are his bones sturdy enough to withstand even a grenade? What sort of experiment was that crazy item holder conducting? '' Raydon's shock was obvious.
With his current stamina and the sub-skills associated with his title, he could also easily withstand a grenade, but he was an item holder, whereas the person in front of him was just an ordinary person who had been the subject of an experiment.
"I can't even imagine the completed version if that person is trying to craft a body enchantment as I thought; even if the failed product is this good." Raydon thought in astonishment.
He was deep in thought when he noticed something looking at the body of the burly man, who was standing still and emitting smoke from his skull.
''Why didn't I receive a system message? '' Raydon waited for the system to notify him that he had gained experience for killing a mob, but neither the message nor the experience points arrived.
''Don't tell me? '' He muttered in awe once more before going to the dead men and grabbing another grenade. This time, he pushed the grenade all the way down from his mouth into his stomach before backing away.
*PUFFF*
The grenade exploded inside the burly man, shattering some of the skin on his abdomen and spilling all of his internal organs out before the system message was heard.

''What the fuck is this? Even without his head, he was still alive. Is that item holder after immortality or something? ''
The burly man's stamina left Raydon completely speechless. He had no idea what kind of toughness the completed body enchantment would offer.
'Will I become immortal with my current title abilities if I use that body enchantment? ' Raydon immersed himself in his fantasy world and began to think.
''Other than that, the experience points he gave are the same as the other lousy fallen soldiers. Is this some kind of joke? '' He said this while spitting on the lifeless body of the burly man.
Actually, there was no distinction between the burly man and the other fallen soldiers. They were both created by an item holder, so they were unable to level up or accumulate experience points. Only the burly man's body was more advanced than the other fallen soldiers.
Raydon is once again disappointed that his expectations were not met, and in the meantime, the black-clad person slowly emerged from the van.
''You finally made the decision to join the party, huh? '' Raydon gave him a direct look before speaking.
''I don't think you should be happy that you were able to kill that idiot.'' The black-clad man said, his voice devoid of emotion.
''Look, stop acting mysterious, and don't raise my expectations, okay?'' Raydon's disappointment was evidently still fresh when he said with a disgusted expression.
''Don't worry, I'm not a weakened fallen soldier like him,'' said the black-clad man before removing his robe.
''What the fuck are you?'' Raydon scowled at what he saw before him.
He faced a creature with rabbit feet, a monkey body and head, and mantis arms with sharp-looking blades.
''You should be grateful for the opportunity to see the perfect body my master gave me before you die.'' The creature spoke again, emotionless, but with a hint of arrogance this time.
''Perfect body? This? '' Raydon was at a loss for words.
'At least he appears to be strong? ' Raydon could feel the creature's power the moment he saw it. At the very least, he didn't appear to be someone who relied solely on physical strength, as the burly man did.
'No, no, I can't keep raising my expectations and disappointing myself.' He pondered it and inquired once more.
''So, what are you if not a fallen soldier?''
''Do not mix me up with those failed subjects. I am a chimera. '' The creature stated proudly.
''Chimera? I used to think chimeras had lion bodies and snake tails.'' While suspiciously staring at the creature, Raydon asked another question quickly, as if something had just occurred to him.
"Wait a minute, you're not as tough and strong as the burly man just now, are you if you're not a fallen soldier?"
''Are you insulting me? '' The creature grunted angrily and said, obviously taking Raydon's inquiry regarding the appearance of chimeras as an insult.
''I don't need their stamina and strength. None of that matters when it comes to my speed.'' Chimera said this as he rushed towards Raydon at breakneck speed.
''Die. ''
Before Raydon could react, he raised his knife-sharp mantis arm and swung it down his throat.
...
..
.
''Hm? ''
Following his attack, he stood a little away from Raydon's back and, upon noticing something was amiss, turned around and gave Raydon a shocked look.
"Why wasn't your neck chopped off?"
Raydon had previously felt the same way before the burly man, and the chimera was now experiencing it as well. Despite his quickness and razor-sharp arms, Raydon's high stamina and 50% damage reduction skill were too much for him to overcome.
''I tried not to have high hopes, but it's still very disappointing. '' Raydon sighed as he turned around and said.
''Hook. ''
The chimera, startled and slow to react, was quickly drawn toward Raydon by the hook that leaped out of his hand and wound around him.
''Y-y-you are an item holder? '' The Chimera finally realized why his overly confident attack had failed when he witnessed he use a skill for the first time, and he screamed in horror.
Raydon said, drawing the short sword from his dimensional storage and thrusting it into the chimera's monkey head. "Yes, and you are dead. ''

When Raydon saw the system message, he exploded. ''Fuck you, after all, you're just another unsuccessful test subject. ''
The disappointments he experienced in such a short time were too much.
