Chapter 1966  Too Slow.

Perfect control of the body is something that transcendents can manage. But right now, they can't even match vitality core refiners in terms of the quality of control of their bodies. As they are, they don't have enough presence of mind to control some puppets in the God's Domain. So even if they were still a part of it, they would have had to give it up over the years. Without the distraction of God's Domain, they have been able to focus completely on comprehending the Supreme law. But now that they are about to complete the process, they are not sure if they should complete it. After all, everything they have experienced up till now indicates that they are literally out of their depths. They literally have an entity bigger than them in their head. If they complete this entity, it is possible that they will explode or have their whole existence subsumed. Legion-6 said, "We have to complete it. It is the only way to unlock our potential."

It took him five days to complete that sentence. Something that should take a split second took 432,000 seconds.

Their normal speed of thought is faster than one-hundredth of a second, so they have been slowed down by 43,200,000 times. This is how much the vast supreme law is compared to the size of their existence. The Supreme Law hasn't leveraged the void universe against them. If it did that, then they would already be dead.

The Supreme law is just existing passively in their mind, yet they are not a match for it despite having nine minds at their disposal. It is now that they are learning just how powerful the void universe is. Legion-3 picked up from where Legion-6 left off and said, "We need our potential if we are to activate the shard of power completely. Without unlocked potential, the shard of power will go to waste."

This they know for certain. They can tell now that the potential of their existence has been shackled. It is how Draco had crippled the dragons.

They haven't been crippled like dragons, but the upper limit of their potential has been locked. Without that upper limit, they can't be limitless.

It is a small difference, which is probably why they didn't know just how lacking they were before. It was until they could look at their primogenitor and compare where they were lacking that they became aware of what else they should have been capable of. They can break free from these shackles if they become world gods, but doing so will make them also independent of their origin. So they will have to be content with whatever potential they steal from the origin when they break the shackles. But whatever they steal won't be enough for them to be limitless.

If they don't unlock the upper limit of their potential now, they will lose access to the Origin and won't be able to activate the shard of power completely as world gods. Things would have been different if they had remained ignorant of what they were lacking up to this point. Their attempt to comprehend the Supreme law of order would seem too dangerous, and the reward would be uncertain.

But they have confirmed their situation from what they have comprehended from the Supreme law, and they are not content with their lot. So they decided to brave the danger and complete the comprehension of the Supreme law. After making up their minds, every clone focused on comprehending it. Each clone closed their nine eyes and focused on the little bit needed to comprehend the Supreme law.

The image of the void universe in their minds turned from phantom to a real object. It solidified into a dark, constantly expanding sea of stars. Unfortunately, the pressure on their minds increased with its solidification. The pressure was internal. It pushed on their consciousness from within so they couldn't escape it. It forced their minds to expand beyond their limits so that it could be contained.

This was far from pleasant. In fact, it was the opposite of pleasant. The nine of them screamed in pain as their minds cracked.

These cracks also extended into their bodies. Fissures extended all over their bodies as if an earthquake was causing the earth to crack.

There was truly an earthquake in their minds. It was so painful that their scream shook the nether waters of the spiritual dimension around them. They didn't know how long passed during the period they were screaming. It could have been an eternity or an instant. They couldn't tell because they couldn't think. When they regained their cognition, they realized that they had changed. They had become heavier. The Supreme law in their minds was no longer there. Instead it had become a part of them. It wasn't an overwriting. It was a liberation. Pieces of them that had been missing had been filled in. They had gained three more Origin channels and can now make three more clones. The limit of power on Origin god had been removed from them too. All of them also gained the potential to have a spark of soul, power, and wisdom. They immediately gained the spark of power and wisdom since they had divinity for it. Immediately, they all felt alive. Legion-1 said, "This is unbelievable. It is marvelous. It is..."

He stopped speaking because the other clones saw something that took his breath away. What the other clones were looking at deserved his undivided attention and complete appreciation.

It turned out that they were not the only ones who had changed. The void universe looked like it had changed too. They could see all five dimensions from where they were at the bottom of the Spiritual Dimension.

It was as if the void universe was made of layers of space stacked on top of each other in some places and intertwined in some. They saw the dark side of the universe and how every dimension shared their border with it.
