Chapter 1976 Father Of The Year.
His outburst seemed to finally get to her. She shut up and stopped drawing the attention of who must not be named.
She even left him, which gave him the peace and quiet needed to contemplate his recently acquired sense of mortality. It is not something he is used to the Cosmos. He had always been carefree and unfettered. He thought he would live forever.
Not even ANNIHILATION attacking the Cosmos changed that belief. But ever since the Supreme died, he has realized that death is a real possibility for him. He didn't want to think about it, but eventually his thoughts returned to her question. He too wonders many times how the Lord of Madness managed to subdue ANNIHILATION.
He knows how the Lord of Madness became the Supreme. Well, not exactly. He only knows what requirement the Lord of Madness met but not how he achieved that requirement. In the Cosmos, if one is to become a Supreme, one must possess 51% of the total power in the Cosmos.
If the Cosmos is a pie, one must control more than half of the pie. That way their rules, laws, and intentions will be indisputable by anyone else.
After all, if everything and everyone in the Cosmos disagrees with him and decides to work together against him, the best that they will be able to match is 49%. 51% is greater than 49% so the Lord of will win every time. That is what it means to be the Supreme. This requirement is very difficult to meet because the Cosmos won't share its power easily. One would need to steal it like Usurpers do.
In comparison, a usurper controls about 0.0001% of the power of the void universe. It takes millions of years to steal that kind of power and subdue it.
That is already the limit of what beyonders they can achieve. So how can they achieve 51%?
The lord of Madness was also faced with this problem. He wasn't limitless back then. He was just a beyonder. But he cooked up a scheme that involved injecting his own rules into the Cosmos. They were not harmful rules, or the Cosmos would have fought back. These were beneficial rules that improved the Cosmos so they were accepted.
The Cosmos grew stronger rapidly due to the injected rules and codes. It grew to be more than twice as strong thanks to those codes. Then the codes aggregated, gained sentence, and allowed the Lord of Madness to control them. By then, the codes had become the largest source of strength in the Cosmos. They were far more than 51% of the total power of the Cosmos. So by gaining control of the code, the Lord of Madness fulfilled the requirements to become Supreme. That's how the Lord of Madness became the Supreme. The God of power knows this, and he also knows that the sentient code was divided into three portions and its power was stripped away by the Lord of Madness after he had become supreme. That's how the god of Power and his two siblings were born. They were leftovers from the scheme of their father in becoming Supremes.
They were still very powerful in the Cosmos, but with their father hanging over their heads, they couldn't amount to anything better. Their father eventually died, which gave them the opportunity to take back what used to be theirs. But his siblings refused to fuse with him. Now he is here doing the dangerous work of trying to steal some of the power of the Supreme. If he had a choice, he wouldn't be here. If he knew how to inject favorable rules and codes into the Cosmos, he wouldn't be here.
In fact, if not for the fact that his brother, the god of wisdom, found the records of the void universe left in some of the properties of the Supreme after his death, he would have had no choice but to flounder about like the many gods in the Cosmos who also want to become the Supreme.
So he is lucky to be here despite the danger he is in. However, he would still have preferred to fuse with his siblings rather than come anywhere near ANNIHILATION. When he thought about the ABSOLUTE beneath the void universe, he couldn't help but shake his head in wonder. It is because he can't figure out how the Supreme managed the feat of imprisoning him. The process to become an ABSOLUTE is to fight an ABSOLUTE and survive. Only ABSOLUTES CAN SURVIVE ABSOLUTES. So if the Lord of Madness had fought with ANNIHILATION. He should have become an ABSOLUTE himself. Yet, he died. It is why it is so unbelievable that the Supreme is dead. But it is undeniable that the Lord of Madness is dead because many things that represented him have ceased to exist after his absence.
His influence over the Cosmos has ended completely. Only special worlds like the void universe, which the Supreme didn't build himself, remain after his death. But the void universe is more special than most universes. It is one of the cornerstones in the prison built of universes used to trap ANNIHILATION.
It is special because no universe should be able to keep an Absolute prisoner. Not one, or a hundred. Quantity doesn't matter to an Absolute. The fact that the void universe and this prison hasn't been destroyed even after the death of the Supreme means that it is in possession of a powerful object or source of power that an contend with an Absolute for a short while. That object or whatever source of power is what he came for. He didn't even know what kind of world he was coming to when his brother told him about the void universe and when he made the risky decision to come here. It was only after he got here that the system he was carrying with him got useful information about the void universe.
