Chapter 1981  Changes In Aspects.

It doesn't mean that his immunity is total. It is more like resistance, as even now, anything that can outpace the growth of his capacity can overwhelm. But it is better than other demons because they only gain the ability to grow their limit when they become demon gods. As demon gods, their existence becomes a literal ocean of energy. They can acquire more energy as long as they have the capacity for it. What's peculiar is that they grow their capacity without limit as long as they grow their sin.

The same is the case for Entropy. They can grow it without limit too, just like Aeternus.

The only caveat is that they need to expand their sin to expand their limit for Energy and Entropy. But this also comes with an advantage that allows them to use their energy without limit.

Demon gods can convert 100% of their energy into power instantly and gain it back instantly by consuming an energy source, all the while unaffected by the massive production of Entropy that such processes will create.

It is apparently an ability unique to demons. All of that Entropy hadn't bothered them simply because they could expand their limit too. But it was only at a slow pace. This pace was as slow as when Aeternus had been a demon king. If they had been given more time, they would have been able to catch up to Aeternus in terms of his immunity to Entropy and overtake him.

This is evident in the fact that the current CARNAGE has the same growth rate of his limits and the same immunity to chaos as Aeternus. So Aeternus himself is not special. He had only gotten a head start on demons. But there is something else that makes Aeternus unique from other demons. It is that he had a clone who could see laws and the information state.

Thanks to Soverick's hard work over the years and their mastery of information, they were finally able to see what the similarity between the true law of chaos and the law of CARNAGE is. That similarity is the ability to convert Entropy back into Energy. That is what Chaos energy is.

Chaos energy is energy created from Entropy. It makes Entropy, which is usually useless, useful.

It can be created from the Entropy within Aeternus and the Entropy within other beings. And it can easily be converted back into Entropy.

That's how Chaos energy can always replicate itself and will always be able to defeat an enemy. When someone resists chaos energy, they have to expend energy. The energy they expend to resist chaos energy creates Entropy within them.

This internal Entropy is then added to the external Chaos energy and converted into more Chaos energy within them.

On the other hand, Chaos energy can transform itself into Entropy and directly infect the target since the target can't resist Entropy. Eventually, as the fight goes on, the target reaches their limit for Entropy and is destroyed, leaving behind more Chaos energy. In summary, Chaos energy is perfect energy. Its ability to convert into Entropy and convert Entropy back into itself is the foundation of Chaos. It is the ultimate change.

And to gain control of this ultimate change, one has to be able to control the rate at which they convert the two states and also have an infinite capacity for change. Or else, Chaos energy will be a poison to them. Aeternus had an infinite capacity for change, as evident in his immunity to Chaos energy. What he needed was the ability to convert Entropy into Chaos energy and back. This is what the Aspect of Information granted him. Now that they have mastered information, they know it to be that which resolves uncertainty. It is the aspect that helps to answer the question of "what a given entity is at a point in time.".

Information is the sum total of the mass of an object, the number of each type of atom it possesses, its state of matter, the kind and amount of energy it possesses, its gravitational force, the pull of gravity of other objects, and many more. With the aspect of Information, one would be able to predict the paths of rotation of three objects of similar mass in close proximity to each other and exerting gravitational force on each other. It is a hypothetical problem called the three-body problem. With the aspect of Information, the Supreme Law of Order could resist chaos. They took things further than that by combining it with their innate immunity to Chaos.

Now they can control Entropy and therefore Chaos. Getting to achieve this is why it took them so long to create their Supreme law. The fourth aspect they used in their Supreme law was the aspect of Infection. This was derived from their obsession to have as many bodies as possible. They made this obsession more powerful by adding the mechanism of chaos energy to it. They wanted to copy the feats of the Lord of Madness, but they were not the Lord of Madness. The best they could get was the aspect of Error, not Madness. But that wasn't good enough for them. Especially after they got Entropy. Entropy was more powerful than Error, so they tried to replace Error with something else. Infection was the alternative they went with. So Infection is like Madness. They are both an innate obsession of their owners and something unique to them that allows Legion and the Lord of Madness to twist the Supreme laws of others and inject their own codes into their existence.

But unlike Madness, Infection infects others with themselves, not anything else. It means that they won't have the broad range of capabilities of Madness, but they will have the advantage of gaining more power directly and using others as their seed beds to create more clones. With Infection, instead of converting someone into a Universal artifact, they will just convert them into Legion. So in time, their numbers will become more than 12.
