Chapter 1368: Sister, Do you Want to Find a Father for Yan Yan?

Mo Liuxi’s mouth was twitching. From the rearview mirror, he could see the little guy sprawled out on Yan Su’s chest. He wanted to throw him out the window.

He finally understood why Nian Junting wasn’t so enthusiastic about him.

Upon reflection, he shouldn’t have been so picky when he met Nian Junting.

If he were more compassionate, he would have treated him more compassionately as well.

“Jin is getting chubbier, though. You look so cute. I like you even more now.” Yan Su hugged him tightly and kissed him on his cheeks. “Tell me what you want Jin. I’ll buy you anything you want.”

“Sister, you’re the best!” Yan Jin climbed onto her shoulder and whispered into her ear, “Sister, are you trying to find Yan Yan a father?”

Yan Su, “...”

Yan Jin appeared worried. “Sister, don’t be like this. Good-looking guys aren’t trustworthy. Ma always talks about how worried she is that you might be whisked away again by some gorgeous guy.”

Yan Su’s head throbbed, and she said, “Jin, I know you’re worried about me, but we’re just having dinner tonight. Don’t read too much into it. You’re too little now. You won’t understand either.”

Yan Jin copied her and sighed as well, “It’s troubling to have an older sister as well; I’m always worried you might be fooled.”

“...”

Sometimes, she couldn’t believe he was her little brother.

Mo Liuxi turned to her and said, “No wonder he’s your brother. You both know about romantic relationships and eloping in high school.”

Yan Su regretted asking him out to dinner. Sigh...It was going to be a long night!

...

When they got to the restaurant, Yan Su asked worryingly, “Do you think Nuanyi is eating here too?”

“They probably went to Quan Jude, not here,” Mo Liuxi explained. “There are a lot of Peking duck shops in Beijing now that are comparable to Quan Jude. This place has a good ambiance, and it’s quite private as well.”

He got out of the car, and Yan Su carried Yan Jin out. The restaurant design was a traditional courtyard with several expensive cars parked outside. It wasn’t a place the general public would know about. “How do you know about this place?”

“My friend recommended it to me; he’s a local here.” Mo Liuxi put on his scarf and walked in. It was already snowing in Beijing and there was a chill in the air.

Yan Su put on a mask, a scarf, and a beanie on Yan Jin to make sure he didn’t catch a cold.

When they walked in, the waitress brought them to a private room. The snow was starting to accumulate outside, and Yan Jin ran to the engraved window to look out at the scenery. “Sister, this looks like our backyard.”

Hmm. Yan Su’s family must be well to do, Mo Liuxi thought raising his brow.

“Jin, come over here. What would you like?” Yan Su waved at him.

“Peking duck. I want to have lots of Peking duck. And lamb chops, steak, pork chops too! With chili, of course. I love them all,” Yan Jin chirped happily clapping his hands.

“Ah, quite a carnivore,” Mo Liuxi remarked knowingly. “Are you able to take spicy food at such a young age?”

Yan Su smiled, “You might already know this, but the people of Jiangxi are good at tolerating spicy foods. Jin has loved barbecue since he was very young. He loves spicy food with a passion. But he shouldn’t have too much of it.”

She ordered a few specialty dishes and three cups of the Beijing yogurt drink too.

When the waiter left, Yan Jin climbed onto the chair and looked at Mo Liuxi, “Uncle, how old are you this year?”

Mo Liuxi nearly choked on his water. Then he inhaled deeply and said through gritted teeth, “I am your sister’s friend, so you should call me brother.”
