Chapter 1803 - Chief Judge Xu, Its Not Your Business
Chapter 1803: Chief Judge Xu, It’s Not Your Business
Xu Baohan drove to the community where she lived. He wasn’t familiar with the neighborhood and he didn’t want to bother her with questions, so he used the GPS.
Ten minutes later, the car stopped at a high-end community. There were quite a number of villas in this community.
He killed the engine and glanced at her. The woman beside him had her neck turned sideways, a strand of slightly curly long hair hanging by her ear. Beneath the strands of hair, he could see the diamond earring. Her slim neck made her look like an elegant white swan.
He stared at her for a while and rolled up the window. He turned on the AC in the car, took his coat from the backseat, and gently draped it over her. Then, he closed his eyes.
Although he usually had to work overtime, he rarely stayed up at two in the morning. After he closed his eyes, he felt tired.
...
When An Lan woke up, she was confused.
Looking around, she realized that she was still in the car. The AC was on, so it wasn’t cold. A man’s suit jacket draped over her and the faint scent of a man mixed with the perfume in the car wafted into her nose. She was disorientated for a moment.
It was no wonder that she had been warm and comfortable in her sleep even though she was in the car.
She turned to Xu Baohan in the driver’s seat. He was lounging in the leather seat and his head was still upright even though he was asleep, as self-disciplined as he was awake.
The lights were off in the car, but she could see the handsome outline of his nose.
This was a face that would cause jealousy in everyone’s heart.
An Lan touched the suit in her hands, wondering if she should drape it over him. But it was already four a.m., and the dawn would come soon.
After some thought, she coughed loudly.
Xu Baohan was immediately jolted awake and opened his eyes. His eyes was dazed for a second before he realized where he was. “When did you wake up? Why didn’t you wake me up?”
An Lan was roaring in her heart, ‘I coughed loudly just to wake you up!’ But she was amazed by this guy’s willpower since it took her longer time to clear her head. No wonder he was a judge while she could only be a lawyer.
“I should be the one to say that,” An Lan said awkwardly. “You should have woken me up when we reached the destination. It’s already 4 o’clock in the morning.”
Xu Baohan looked at the time and was surprised. “I thought you would wake up soon. I didn’t expect you to sleep for so long.”
An Lan was embarrassed and said unhappily, “I was tired yesterday and it’s so early in the morning. I couldn’t control myself.”
She added silently in her heart, ‘And you drove so steadily and never stepped hard on the brake.’
“Fortunately, you fell asleep in my car, but next time, you definitely can’t sleep so soundly in another man’s car,” Xu Baohan warned as he gazed at her deeply.
An Lan said bluntly, “Chief Judge Xu, this is not your business, okay?”
“Not all men are as gentlemanly as I am.” Xu Baohan glanced at her stockinged legs.
“What are you looking at?” An Lan quickly covered her thighs with her hands.
“Is it too late to do it, right? If I wanted to see it, I would have seen it when you were sleeping.” Xu Baohan thought for a moment before adding, “I will wait until the day you agree to let me see them.”
“...”
What did he mean?
An Lan’s mind was filled with unspeakable thoughts, and her face turned red. She gritted her teeth and said, “That day will never come.”
