Chapter 1825: Did You Buy These Snacks For Me

An Lan’s face quickly heated up. The blush was very obvious on her fair skin.

Xu Baohan’s eyes darkened. It wasn’t that he had never seen a woman blush before, but that he found it especially adorable on her.

He opened a bottle of mineral water and gulped down two mouthfuls. An Lan turned to look at his sexy Adam’s apple moving up and down. A moment later, he said in a low voice, “It’s pretty hot today.”

“Yeah,” An Lan nodded quickly. “Maybe we are overdressed?”

“I think so.”

Xu Baohan unzipped his jacket, revealing the white T-shirt underneath.

After everyone had arrived, the driver started the bus.

Shifeng Mountain was located in a county of the neighboring city. It was a two-hour drive on the highway.

Most of the people on the bus had brought their families with them. Everyone was chattering and it was quite lively. In contrast, An Lan and Xu Baohan were rather quiet.

Xu Baohan glanced at the young couple behind him. The girl leaned on the guy’s shoulder and the guy was feeding her food. But what was he feeding her?

Meat jerky?

Xu Bohan hadn’t bought any meat jerky.

Xu Baohan picked up the plastic bag. “Lawyer An, would you have some snacks? I bought a lot.”

An Lan nodded. She had guessed that he would buy snacks, so she didn’t bring any. If he didn’t prepare anything, then there was no need for him to think about it.

She just didn’t know what he had bought.

An Lan opened the bag and took a look. She was stunned.

Glutinous rice cookies? Soda biscuits? Mung bean cakes? Wangwang snow cookies? Compressed biscuits?

Unbelievable.

An Lan raised her head and stared into his eyes. “You bought all these for me?”

Xu Baohan nodded. “I bought them from the convenience store near my home.”

An Lan took a deep breath, “We don’t know each other well, but you must know that I’m a young woman, not someone in her 70s or 80s. Few young women would like to eat these as snacks. Look at what others brought. Nuts, spicy meat jerky, imported biscuits, yoghurt. And you even brought compressed biscuits. It’s a one-day trip, okay?”

Xu Baohan furrowed his brows tightly. He seemed to have realized that he had made a mistake. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know. When I went to visit my grandmother, I found she liked to eat these. I thought that you’d like these, too. I used to bring compressed biscuits when I hiked in mountains, it’s very filling.”

“I’m not your grandmother, thank you.” An Lan felt like crying. How could he compare her to his grandma? “As for compressed biscuits, the only time I ate them was when I went to Tibet.”

Xu Baohan realized the seriousness of the matter. “Then what should I do? I’ll go and buy other snacks when we get to the mountain.”

“There won’t be anything good there. Forget it, I’ll make do with what we have. Luckily, you brought some fruits,” An Lan wished she had done the shopping. Anyway, it wasn’t entirely his fault. He had asked her on WeChat what she wanted to eat and she said she wasn’t picky. But she didn’t expect him to be so clueless.

Xu Baohan was a little upset that things didn’t go well the first time he went out with her.

“When you were dating your ex-girlfriend, did she eat these snacks?” An Lan couldn’t help asking.

“I gave her money and she bought them herself.” Xu Baohan suddenly realized that he still had a lot to learn about dating.
