Chapter 883: Your Legs Are Fairer Than Your Face

“...I don’t know.” Jiang Yuning’s eyes were shimmering.

Nian Xi followed his gaze, and when she finally saw what he was looking at, she quickly retracted her legs back into the blanket.

She glared at Jiang Yuning. “You’re peeking at me again.”

“... I’m sorry.” Jiang Yuning lowered his head earnestly. “I think your legs are fairer than your face.”

“...”

What a thing to hear first thing in the morning?

She knew that she wasn’t fair. Was there a problem with that? Did he have to point it out? He was teasing her now.

“Yes. All police officers have to be under the sun most of the time. Of course, I’m tan. My legs are fairer because I’m wearing the uniform.” Nian Xi was frustrated, “Stop looking at my legs. It’s an ungentlemanly to do so.”

Jiang Yuning paused to think for a moment before lifting the hem of his pants. He looked at Nian Xi seductively.

Nian Xi blinked.

Jiang Yuning explained. “You can look at mine.”

Nian Xi looked at his fair legs and she felt self-conscious, but she wouldn’t admit it. “What’s so nice about your legs? They’re so hairy it makes me uncomfortable.”

Nian Xi grunted and glared at him. “Turn away. I’m going to put on my bra.”

Jiang Yuning turned and walked out of the room. By the time Nian Xi washed up and got dressed, Zhan Hong and the rest were awake too.

The hotel had sent breakfast over.

After breakfast, Jiang Yuning handed over a note to the men. It read, ‘Please roll up your pants.’

Zhan Hong and the rest thought that it was part of his research so they quickly did as they were told.

Jiang Yuning smiled when he saw their legs and pulled Nian Xi over. When Nian Xi frowned, he handed her another note. ‘They have more hair than me. You shouldn’t say that my legs aren’t nice.’

“...”

Nian Xi didn’t know what to say.

“What’s the matter?” Zhan Hong walked over and saw the note, then he felt a little offended. “Mr. Jiang, that’s not a nice thing to say.”

Jiang Yuning grinned before writing, ‘Too bad you have so much leg hair.’

“...”

How was he so good at insulting others?

...

The International Physics Conference was happening on Thursday.

On the first day in Paris, the research academy had invited all researchers to the Paris Science and Technology Fair.

They rode in an RV van to the fair. Uncle Han said, “There will be lots of inventions designed by the young talents in Europe at the fair. Most of the gadgets will not be available to the market yet. It’s an opportunity for them to showcase their most advanced technological inventions.”

“What’s the big deal about that? I think Mr. Jiang trumps them in many areas,” Fang Qi said indignantly while looking at Jiang Yuning. “What do you say, Mr. Jiang?”

Jiang Yuning didn’t answer. He was staring out of the car window in a daze.

“Mr. Jiang, did you hear me?” Fang Qi prodded him again.

Jiang Yuning was still in a trance. Nian Xi had to grab a hold of his attention and she repeated Fang Qi’s question.

“Oh, I don’t know. There are always more capable and intelligent people out there,” Jiang Yuning said distractedly.

“You can’t say that,” Nian Xi said agitatedly. “We need to show them how impressive China’s scientists are.”

“Hmm, let’s maintain a low profile.” Jiang Yuning nodded his head.
