Chapter 164 The right choice.
Chapter 164 The right choice.
Archie and Eve went to meet with Resse and asked about what she found during her interrogation. She told them that Gard had been always watching the Valor special force ever since it was created. He had been reporting everything back to him, and there were a lot of them back there before most of them died in FalCon-1.
It was a shock, even for Faye who was still unstable and immediately thought about how unbelievable it was. She asked Resse if she was telling the truth, and Resse said that nobody knew if she was telling the truth or not, but she had no reason to make it all up.
They all were gathered in the barn house and because Marlon called them there to discuss about their plans for an attack. Of course, after what happened that morning when Eve and Archie ate the bodies of the spies made them all scared to be in the same room as them.
They all saw what Eve and Archie did, and what they left behind. They were shocked and terrified that the fact those two could eat those bodies so fast and so clean without leaving a mess.
Although Faye and Aster heard about it from them, they couldn’t believe it at all. They didn’t see the remains of the bodies, and they also didn’t see the bloody mouths and hands of those two after they ate them.
Of course, Faye asked Ruby about it and she gave the answer that Faye didn’t want to hear. Ruby did see Archie eat parasites, but she had never seen him eat a human flesh before, and the face that she had seen him eat a parasite was sleeping far worse and disgusting than eating a human flesh.
“Don’t think about it, it’s not something you want to imagine. Just think of him like a beast, and it will make you a bit at ease,” Ruby said as she crossed her arms and looked at Marlon who was having a serious conversation with Fanheim at the front.
“I still can’t process everything, or rather I don’t want to think about what he said to me,” Faye said as she stared at Archie and Eve who were on the other side of the room. “How could this happened and how could we live like this after knowing there will be no hope for humanity,” Faye asked as she stared at Ruby.
“Well, after knowing that, I guess I can say that death and life don’t bother you anymore, right? We are helpless and hopeless, it can’t be changed, and so, let’s just do our best and follow them because we still have a bit of hope of we are with them,” Ruby answered as she stared at Faye.
“We don’t have any other choice, and this is the path that we all took even though their reasons might be different from each other,” Faye said as she sat down and leaned on the pillar as she hugged herself. “I’m just curious if we are all making the right choice or not,” Faye continued as she stared blankly at the ground.
“Who knows,” Ruby replied as she sat down next to Faye. “But all I can say is that Archie saved my life, and these people’s lives, including you. So, if you can do something back for them, and help them, we will get the result that we both want,” Ruby answered as she stared at her prosthetic arm.
“Right, they did save us so many times and helped us through all kind of nightmares that we had been through,” Faye replied as she nodded her head.
‘Alright, man! Listen up!” Marlon said as he crossed his arms and looked at them. “We are going to attack Victor’s base, B-5. Archie and Eve did a very good job of giving us all the information that we needed,” Marlon continued as he used a blank sheet and drew a map on it.
Marlon told them what Eve had told him, and they were listening to every word that came out of his mouth. The information was so detailed that they couldn’t believe it only took them less than an hour to get it.
Marlon wanted them to prepare to leave tomorrow early in the morning. Knowing that the cars wouldn’t be enough to bring everyone, Marlon planned on sending Fanheim, Ruby, Vincent, Tommy, Daniel, Prince, Resse, Faye, Aster, and a few of them there.
Marlon didn’t want to send anyone who was from the Valor special force because of what Resse found out. He didn’t want to risk the mission by sending spies that might be still there among them. There would be twenty people in total that would go to B-5, and before they go there, Marlon wanted them to take a secret inventory that he had prepared in one of his secret warehouses in the city.
“Alright, Prince and Resse would gather the weapons tonight and you, Ruby, Vincent, Tommy, Daniel are going to cover them during the extraction,” Marlon said as he looked at them.
Ruby and the others nodded their heads in understanding.
“Is there any question? We have the momentum and they won’t expect us to be attacking their secret base since they didn’t know where we at and what’s our plan,” Marlon said as he looked at everyone.
They all shook their heads.
“Good, you’re dismissed, and whoever tries to leave, you will meet your end the moment you got caught, so don’t make a stupid decision,” Marlon said as he stared at each one of them in the eye.
Everyone left the barn house while Archie and Eve stared at them to inflict fear as Eve said. He didn’t care what they had on their minds, but as long as they didn’t cause trouble, that was good enough.
Fanheim approached Archie and Eve as he waved his hand at them and Marlon was walking next to him.
“Since you heard what Marlon said, what are you going to do? I believe you said that you’re going to attack C-3, right? Are you not going to scout the area first and find where it is?” Fanheim asked as he stared at both of them.
“Yes, and I believe it’s easier to scout the crowded place in the middle of the night. We can move freely and undetected by them. The only problem that we would have is how to locate it and how are we going to get in there,” Eve answered as she nodded her head in agreement.
“Since both Eve and I can change our appearance, I’m thinking if I can get some information about the people who can walk in and out the secret bases. Someone with the authority to walk in without getting getting checked,” Archie said as he looked at Marlon and Fanheim. “So, I think I’m going to gather more information about the people that have that authority from the hard disk,” Archie continued.
“That’s really a good idea, you can go ahead and use this,” Marlon replied as he gave the laptop to Archie. “Our mission is simple, destroy everything and kill everyone that breath. Is that good?” Marlon asked as he looked at them back and forth.
Archie took the laptop as he nodded his head, and then used the table so he and Eve could check the data.
“Alright, let’s see what we can use here,” Archie said as he sat down and turned on the laptop.
They both looked at the data of the people that might have exclusive access to enter the secret bases. They looked at each one of them very carefully, and it didn’t take long until they found the right people.
“Just out of curiosity,” Archie paused as he stared at Eve. “Can you change your appearance to like a male body?” Archie asked.
“Of course, you can become a woman as well if you know how a woman’s body work,” Eve answered without hesitation.
“Okay, but I don’t think I want to see you in a male body,” Archie said as he looked at the photos of the people that had exclusive access to the secret base. “How about you become her, and I become him? Is that okay?” Archie asked as he pointed at the woman with black short hair, a scientist, and a man with gray hair who was also a scientist.
“Sounds good to me, I’m not going to complain even if you asked me to be the guy and you to be the woman,” Eve said jokingly with a smirk on her face.
“No, I would rather not,” Archie said as he chuckled nervously. “Okay, Marlyn and Dale. Let’s try and copy their faces, and then we can go and find their voice and how they sound like,” Archie continued as he opened their photos in full screen.
They both looked at the screen up close and tried to imitate their faces.
