Chapter 31
Chapter 31
C31 – Enter the Room
Qi Ning seized the machete from his hand with a swift one-handed grip.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Often, grabbing an opponent’s weapon can infuriate them.
Pei Liang watched with schadenfreude as Qi Ning angered the man, remarking, “Mr. Kuang, I couldn’t stand being insulted like that if I were you.”
Mr. Kuang glanced back at Pei Liang with irritation and barked, “Get lost!”
He then turned his attention to Qi Ning.
“Don’t get cocky just because you took down Scorpion. You should realize we’ve got a hundred people here.”
“If you know what’s good for you, you’ll kneel and apologize in Linshan’s room pronto.”
Before he could finish his threat, Qi Ning’s fist was already barreling towards his face.
Qi Ning had learned from his brawling experience that the face is a person’s most vulnerable spot. With the right control of his strength, he could incapacitate his opponent in no time.
Mr. Kuang, clearly a seasoned brawler, instinctively tried to block as Qi Ning’s fist aimed for his face.
The sound of bones cracking echoed as Qi Ning’s punch connected with Mr. Kuang’s face.
Mr. Kuang let out a pained yell, cursing, “What are you waiting for? Attack, now!”
Retreating, Mr. Kuang fell back behind his men.
Qi Ning surveyed the sea of heads before him, his scalp tingling at the sight.
On open ground, Qi Ning might have opted to back off.
But they were in a narrow corridor.
Though the KTV’s corridor seemed spacious, it was nowhere near adequate for a brawl, especially with over a hundred people present.
Qi Ning figured that at most, only three or four could engage him at once.
With that in mind, he had nothing to worry about.
His punches were lightning-fast, and soon enough, a swath of bodies lay before him.
As their cries filled the air, Qi Ning felt an unexpected surge of satisfaction.
?Mr. Kuang, dumbfounded by the turn of events, could sense Qi Ning’s prowess but had never anticipated this outcome.
Moving forward, Qi Ning’s fists flew faster and faster.
Before he knew it, he was at the door of Xu Linshan’s private room.
Xu Linshan, hearing the commotion outside, turned to one of his underlings and instructed, “Check out what’s happening!”
The underling, visibly anxious, nodded and headed for the room’s entrance.
Simultaneously, the door was forcefully kicked open by Qi Ning.
The underling was propelled through the air by the sheer force of Qi Ning’s kick.
Xu Linshan watched his underling tumble backward, a sense of dread creeping into his heart.
Qi Ning scanned the room quickly. Aside from Xu Linshan, there were several others present, one of whom was Fu Nian.
?To Qi Ning, Fu Nian was now less than insignificant, not even worth engaging in conversation.
“What do you want?” Xu Linshan asked, unfazed by Qi Ning’s entry into the room.
Qi Ning couldn’t help but respect Xu Linshan a little for his composure.
He thought to himself that if he had been in Xu Linshan’s shoes, he would have been terrified.
“You set a trap for me, and yet you have the nerve to ask what I want?”
