Chapter 230: Nazfea Mark 2
Nick meanwhile had cranked on the furnace in his workshop after thoroughly ensuring his message was understood by his friends. Without exception they all chose to leave shortly after he turned on his furnace as the temperature rose to uncomfortable levels for them. Nick was unaffected by this heat though and waited for the furnace to warm up. Once ready he cranked the cold flames in it up and prepared the Nazfea ring he had taken back from Helena to be wiped of it's current enchantment and then enchanted again with the new one.-
He had ensured that the door to his workshop had been locked up securely preventing any energy from leaking out. That was a unique property that he had discovered that the doors and walls of the castle had last year that he used to full effect to keep any hint of his forging method out of the public eye. The enchanting process of the ring was nearly identical to the first time he did so but with a modification. This version of the enchantment also included his newly acquired knowledge and proficiency in veritology. The final result made him smile when he read the appraisal of the system.-
[RING NAME: Nazfea Mark 2
Grade: RARE
Abilities: Autosizing , spiritual solidification , magic foci , bound , loyal
Description: A ring capable of allowing pure spiritual beings to take corporeal form and allows the use of magic. The power of the wearer cannot increase unlike the living however.
System appraisal: An unusual ring that was made with ghost in mind created by an up and coming ring smith.]
Nick gave Helena a thumbs up and she eagerly slipped the band over her finger and immediately took on a corporeal form. Nick's eyes widened as he sensed a large amount of magical energy from the air in the castle poured into her as if filling a void it hadn't noticed until now. 'It's possible that it was only after her form was capable of holding the magic such as now that her magical ability returned.' He theorized. The mana as he had taken to calling it over the summer settled in her body at a level between Dumbledore and Mr. Weasley.-
If he had to say specifically he would say that she had nearly the same level of power as he had felt from Snape if a bit larger. He theorized that this was because she likely had this exact level of power when she was alive. This was by no means a small thing as Snape was one of the most powerful people on the planet despite his relatively young age of 32 years of age. Having been born 984 A.D and killed 1000 A.D Helena was only twenty when she died.-
This meant that despite being almost a decade younger than Snape she was minutely more powerful than he was. Whether this was because she had her own talent or because she had full access to and the ability to read all the books in the "ancient" section was not clear. Nick was very aware of the game changing knowledge that the "ancient" section held and as a result was unsure what route Helena took exactly to reach such a level of power. What he did know however from talking to Helena was that she was well on her way to reaching the level of Dumbledore when she was killed.-
She herself openly stated as much and according to her that level of power was merely a couple of notches below the Godrick Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff and even more so Salazar Slytherin not to mention her mother who was the most powerful of them all after reaching a new level even though it killed her in the end. 'Does this mean if he is given enough time Snape may become as powerful as Dumbledore and Voldemort!?' Nick thought with a shudder. Neither Voldemort nor Dumbledore were perfect at their level of power but a Snape at that level of power was much worse.-
The only reason the man wasn't cruel and sadistic like most of the other death eaters was his love of Harry's mother but if he had the power to bring the world to it's knees all bets were off. 'Good thing he doesn't seem to have any ambition beyond protecting Harry and killing Voldemort.' he thought in relief. Helena held up her hand and her paint brush from across the room floated up and into her hand in an impressive display of wandless magic.-
Nick would have been impressed had it not been for the fact he could sense how inefficient that simple action was for her. Still Helena was pleased and it showed on her wide smile as she looked at the brush in her hand. "Now we just need to get you a wand. Lucky for you I happen to know just where to find such a thing." Nick said with a smirk. For the next ten minutes Helena went through the various wands in Nicks possession before finally settling on a cherry wood wand with a unicorn hair as the core.
