Chapter 522: Divine Compass Lottery (2)

Chapter 522: Divine Compass Lottery (2)

Chapter 522: Divine Compass Lottery (2)

Allen's party revolted and took the right of pulling Divine Compasses away from him.

"Pleaseeeeee, just one more time. Give me one more chance. I promise I'll get a Higher God this time."

"I'm sorry Allen, but the fate of the world hinges on this. Kiel, could you do it?"

Cecile rejected Allen's wish. When they were gathering Stone Slabs for golems in the S Rank Dungeon, Kiel had been more reliable.

"Now I'm getting nervous!"

'Gau!'

Kurena was starting to get excited, while Haku just went along with the flow.

"...Alright, I'm doing it."

Kiel took out a Divine Compass, while feeling Allen's teary eyes behind him.

After they picked up the silver cylinder, Cecile's face quickly lit up.

"Show me. Oh! It's the God of Earth Gaia! I knew relying on Kiel was a good idea!"

Kiel had obtained the Divine Compass for one of the 4 Elemental Gods. No one in any of the parties or the Ten Heroic Beasts could use it though, so Allen would decide what to do with it.

"4 more, huh. Let's keep going."

Kiel shuffled the contents of the barrel around, then pulled out another Divine Compass. This one was gold.

"It's a gold one! The Holy Sage of Gold has pulled a Golden Divine Compass!!"

Everyone in the Heavenly King's court was shocked.

"Why do you always have to call me that? Wait, this is the God of Swords Sestavinus'…"

Kiel's voice quickly went silent when he saw the name written on it. Sestavinus was one of the 3 Combat God Sisters, which were the God of War, God of Armaments, and God of Swords, and was also the leader of the 8 Weapon Gods.

"A-are you sure! Let me see!!"

Doberg's eye opened wide as he walked up to Kiel, his hands trembling as he took the golden Divine Compass.

"Is that a good one?"

Kurena asked, unable to understand why Doberg's hands were shaking so much.

"Yes. She's the deity of everyone who brandishes a sword like us. And I'm going to meet her…"

Doberg's eye was tearing up from emotion. Many members of the various parties united there fought with swords, since daggers, swords, and greatswords were considered the same type of weapon by the God of Swords. Even the Ten Heroic Beasts understood once again why it was worth it to come to the divine realm. For now, Doberg would take the Divine Compass.

"Let's keep it going. Three more."

There was no one left who wanted to let Allen get the Compasses.

Kiel's third Divine Compass was silver.

"Th-that's Beast God Giran's!!"

(Beast God Giran? Who's that? I thought Garm was the Beast God?)

Shea picked it up and announced that it was the Beast God Giran's Divine Compass.

"Giran?"

Kurena did not know who that was.

"The Beast God Giran is a God that serves the Higher God known as Beast God Garm. I believe this should lead us to the Paradise of Primordial Beasts."

"Ohhh! Incredible!!"

Shea explained further. It was common for Gods to serve Higher Gods, and Garm had various other Gods under his service. One of them was Giran, who looked like a wolf, and was mostly venerated in Brysen.

"That's perfect for one of our objectives then. Two more left to go."

The next Divine Compass was silver, and pointed to the God of Bows Korone, one of the 8 Weapon Gods. All of them lived in the same Temple as the 3 Combat God Sisters, but it was hard to say if they would want to meet Allen and the rest without them having a Compass.

There were quite some archers in all the parties except Galara's, so it was a good drop.

For now Allen would carry it though.

"Now for the last one. It'd be nice to get Isiris', but getting to the Spirit Paradise would be better."

Everyone hoped for Kiel's success.

"I-I know, don't get your hopes up that much though."

Kiel shook the barrel and took the last Divine Compass. It was a golden one.

"Ohhh!! It's a golden one. I knew you had it in you."

"Enough about gold already. Wait, this is the Great Spirit God Easley!!"

Dogora wanted to call him Kiel the Golden again, but Kiel stopped him.

Kiel had obtained the pass to one of the locations they wanted to visit no matter what.

Everyone clapped happily.

(He just got a little bit lucky, I haven't lost at all. I'll completely empty the barrel myself anyway.)

Allen just came with the excuse that this would happen sooner or later anyway.

[The 4 Divine Compasses obtained by Allen]

-God of Trading Marne

-God of Music Sopra

-God of Divination Tarrot

-God of Comedy Manzai

[The 5 Divine Compasses obtained by Kiel]

-God of Earth Gaia

-God of Swords Sestavinus

-Beast God Giran

-God of Bows Korone

-Great Spirit God Easley

"Mm… <em class="chakra-text css-0">Ahem, it seems the Divine Compass Lottery is over."

The prime minister coughed to gather their attention, tired of their disrespectful behavior.

"Yes, thank you very much for arranging this audience. We'll go see the Gods now."

Allen thanked the prime minister.

"That concludes the audience then."

The king stood up, so everyone bowed and looked down. He then climbed on what looked like a futuristic stroller, and two knights drove him out of the rear gate.

Once he left, everyone stood up.

"So what are we doing now?"

Cecile asked Allen what their next objective would be.

"Well, Peromus can stay at Boaso until he receives the permit. Maybe you can research the local market too."

"Alright, got it. Fiona, let's go check out the city."

"Sure. I'm looking forward to it."

Allen first told Peromus what he would be doing. He would soon be allowed to trade there, so it was best if he prepared by checking out the city. Fiona would also be going with him.

"Abigayle will go back to the ghost swarm. The dragonkin need to Level Up soon."

As soon as they maxed out their stats, they would go to the Talent Change Dungeon.

They also were in charge of collecting Spirit Stones, and once a ghost swarm was depleted they would move to the next.

Abigayle was the warden leader of the ghost swarm near Boaso, and the other swarms had a different leader, so he would need to go and talk them to cooperate as well.

"I see. Thank you, really thank you a lot for everything you're doing."

"But why? I used up all my Spirit Crystal Stones, and you still aren't allowed to live in the capital."

Allen would always spend all his money on gacha games, and the memory of trying to get a character with as many bonuses as possible, but then getting a [No Abilities] still made him feel like crying.

"You've done more than I could've asked for. I'll use my position to your advantage as best as I can."

Abigayle wanted to be of service for at least something.

(Oh right, before I forget. We still need to stay in contact.)

"<em class="chakra-text css-0">A-Ahem... I believe the audience has already concluded…"

They were all discussing their plans when the prime minister interrupted them.

"Ahh, right, since you're still here, let me introduce you to someone."

"Hm? What are you talking about?"

The prime minister looked confused, but then Allen brought Merus there.

"Merus, leave 1 Okiyo here, so that we can tell Peromus when things move forward."

'Hm? Ah, sure.'

"A-are you the First Angel Merus?!"

'Yes. You seem to be doing alright, prime minister.'

Merus greeted the prime minister, who had just knelt down.

(Hm? He doesn't know that Merus turned into a summon then?)

The Demon King's Army had killed Merus in the divine realm, and his twin sister became the next First Angel, but it seemed like the details had not been told to the prime minister.

"Sorry for surprising you. If you need to tell us anything, Merus will come, so just talk to him."

"A-alright, I got it! Wait! What do you mean by telling you something!!"

The prime minister was still rather shocked, he understood the words, but still struggled to understand that Merus was being used as a communications device with the world below.

Allen did not want to force his authority, so he only brought Merus now.

They had already given him access to the ship and Divine Compasses, so he was more than satisfied without having to force them with Merus.

"Also, when will the ship be ready for use?"

Allen sent Merus back to the S Rank Dungeon, then waited for the prime minister to calm down.

"The Sky Ship is ready. I can take you there if you wish to depart right now."

That was the name of the ship, Sky Ship. A royal knight would take Allen's group to it.

Allen looked at his friends, and they all nodded showing they were ready to depart.

A flying ship was waiting for them next to one of the walls of the palace, which looked like a pyramid.

(It looks kinda cool actually.)

The ship was 100 meters long, and looked somewhat futuristic with wings for decoration.

It was big enough to easily transport 100 people at once.

"You can enter the ship by crossing this bridge."

The knight showed them how to get inside.

"So we can assume that we're free to use this ship now?"

"Of course, you're the heroes that crossed the Gate of Judgement. Ah, sorry for the late introduction. I'm the pilot of the Sky Ship, my name is Piyon."

After Merus appeared, all the knights spoke with more respect.

Piyon was already an adult, but Allen thought he had a rather cute name.

(So they got a pilot ready too. Hmhmm.)

"There's two places I'd like to show you, follow me please."

He would show them around the ship.

"This looks like a Magic Stone reactor."

There was something like the engine of a magic ship in the center of the room.

"This is the Spirit Stone reactor, which moves the Sky Ship. It's currently empty."

(So they won't pay for fuel.)

They would give them the Sky Ship, but they would have to provide Spirit Stones to travel.

"Piyon, just in case, does providing more Spirit Stones also increase the speed?"

"Of course."

"Then…"

He opened a magic bag to take Spirit Stones out. He believed it was better to keep those in magic bags that everyone could see, instead of the Grimoire that was invisible.

He took out 1000 Spirit Stones and put them into the reactor.

"That's so many…"

"Could you take us to the next place?"

"Ah, yes. The control room is over here."

That was a rather large room, with a front window that allowed one to see the scenery.

There was also a large handle in front of the window, and before it a plate for Divine Compasses.

"So this is where the Divine Compasses from the lottery go."

Cecile looked at the black plate.

"Yes. Once it's in place, the destination name should start to glow."

"You're explaining that really politely…"

Cecile began to question Piyon's attitude, and everyone looked at him with a bit of suspicion as well.

"P-please don't think that way, I have no ulterior motives here. You're all working hard to obtain those precious Spirit Crystal Stones after all."

He raised his hands and tried to explain he meant no ill will.

"Wait, maybe this has something to do with the Demon King's invasion?"

Allen had started to notice certain things from how the king and prime minister behaved.

"The Demon King? You're trying to suggest they're working for him?"

Cecile tried to understand what Allen meant.

"Not really. Maybe it's because of all the angels that were killed when they invaded?"

"...You're probably correct.."

Piyon gave a vague but affirmative response. Then he explained what happened before.

When the Demon King's army invaded the divine realm, there were few casualties of the people of Shandar, but many angels perished in other places, so now they were lacking in angels.

The Heavenly King did not have a reason to meet with people from the world below, but if they brought Spirit Crystal Stones, then they could be used to create new angels.

One Demigod Rank Spirit Crystal Stone could create 1 Archangel, or 10 Angels.

(If they want to gain something, they also have to offer something, huh.)

That was the law of the Gods of this world.

"I see. You really are the best at figuring things out. Though your luck sucks."

"Hrngh… You didn't have to mention that, Cecile."

"I know, right? Allen is incredible. Though his luck stinks."

"Urghahhh."

Kurena grinned as she watched Allen writhing in pain, lamenting his lack of luck.

(I need to remain calm and strike on time.)

Allen silently changed his Summon cards to improve his Agility, then took a deep breath before charging at Kurena.

"Too easy!"

Kurena had anticipated that, so she swiftly dodged Allen.

"It'll be your end the moment I catch you! Kurena!!"

Everyone sighed as Allen and Kurena began chasing each other in the control room.
