Chapter 334: Teaching the Moves
“Brooch...” Yun Xiangxiang mulled it over, but she wasn’t satisfied. “Let me ask Percy!”
Before she could get off her bed, Song Mian pulled her back. When she fell back, he pressed on her.
He looked at her from above, and he took the diamond away, putting a priceless stone at a side just like that.
“My dear girlfriend, if you are too energetic and can’t sleep, I don’t mind making you a bit more tired...”
Yun Xiangxiang immediately closed her eyes from being frightened, and she even fumbled around for her blanket to put it in front of her chest.
Song Mian was half-amused, half-annoyed, and he kissed her cheeks before turning to his side to lay down and hug her. “Go to sleep. I’ll teach you a few tricks to use in emergencies,” he said softly.
“Really?” Yun Xiangxiang was excited again, and she looked at Song Mian with sparkles in her eyes.
But she was met with Song Mian’s dark gaze, and a storm seemed to be brewing in that pair of devilishly purple eyes.
She quickly closed her eyes again. “I’m asleep.”
But she knew Song Mian wouldn’t tease her, since he would teach her some skills for her fight against Faye on the day after tomorrow.
Yun Xiangxiang didn’t forget the warning Song Mian gave her while she was in the car: Never try to tease him regarding this particular matter.
Or else if she crossed the line and lit his fire of lust, she would still be the one who would lose.
Yun Xiangxiang thought she would have to spend a lot of time falling asleep, but Song Mian gently massaged her back.
Yun Xiangxiang slowly became sleepy and was sound asleep in no time.
She woke up feeling refreshed and went for her morning workout like usual. Then, she clung on to Song Mian after breakfast, pestering him to teach her the moves she had been looking forward to.
“You just had breakfast. Rest for a bit,” Song Mian asked her to not be too much in a hurry.
Yun Xiangxiang’s girlfriends came over before she could speak. “Where did you two go last night?” Song Meng interrogated her.
“We took a night walk,” Yun Xiangxiang told her what Song Mian asked her to.
She couldn’t tell them they went to steal a priceless golden diamond.
Song Meng didn’t look like she believed her, and she looked at Yun Xiangxiang closely. “I waited for you guys, and you didn’t even return when it was already one in the morning!”
“It was a beautiful night, so we spent more time looking at it.” Yun Xiangxiang grinned at Song Meng. “It’s easy to forget the time when you’re with someone you love. You’re single. You wouldn’t understand.”
Song Meng was annoyed.
She loves to poke fun at me for being single at every chance she has. I don’t need a friend like her! Hmph!
“She thought you two went to the hotel for some fun,” Li Xiangling sold Song Meng out.
Song Meng glared at Li Xiangling. You can say this to Yun Xiangxiang, but you can’t say that when Song Mian is here.
Yun Xiangxiang was surprised, but then she snorted. “Do we have to go to the hotel for that?”
She was already sleeping in the same bed as Song Mian did every day, so they didn’t have to be this furtive.
“She thought you guys love that kind o...” Song Meng forcefully covered Li Xiangling’s mouth before she could finish.
Song Meng spoke embarrassingly, “Um, Xiangling’s a bit dazed from waiting too long for you two last night. I’ll be taking her back to bed now.”
Song Meng dragged Li Xiangling away, and since Li Xiangling was the weaker girl, she couldn’t resist Song Meng.
Even if Li Xiangling couldn’t finish, the couple could guess how wild Song Meng’s imagination ran.
If it were in the past, Yun Xiangxiang would feel embarrassed, but not now, since Song Mian knew what kind of person her girlfriend was.
Song Mian suddenly whispered beside her ear, “I think we have to go and experience it for ourselves.”
Yun Xiangxiang’s face turned scarlet, and she stomped Song Mian’s foot angrily.
Song Mian looked like he was used to Yun Xiangxiang venting however she liked, and he even thought she looked cute when she was angrily embarrassed.
“What are you two doing?” He Wei saw Yun Xiangxiang stomping Song Mian when he came out from his room.
“I told her yesterday that I would teach her a few moves today, and she seems to be complaining about me asking her to rest right after she finished her breakfast,” Song Mian explained seriously.
“I think I had enough rest.” Yun Xiangxiang glared at him.
“Alright, alright. If you think you have rested enough, then you have rested enough. Go and change your clothes,” Song Mian replied patiently. “I’ll go and see how the preparation is going.”
Yun Xiangxiang immediately changed into the training attire Song Qian gave her, and she found Song Mian in a big training room.
“I saw your reflexes and agility last night. It was decent.” Song Mian had also changed into a loose sports attire.
“I’m worried that Faye might use some vicious moves, so here’s a couple of tricks that could quickly subdue someone.” Song Mian stood in front of Yun Xiangxiang. “Attack me.”
Yun Xiangxiang instinctively hurled a right punch at Song Mian, and he didn’t dodge as he raised his right hand to block it. It was blazing fast, and Yun Xiangxiang didn’t notice that he was already catching her wrist.
At the same instant, he took a left step forward and blocked her leg while attacking her waist with his left hand at the same time.
Yun Xiangxiang suddenly felt weak, and she felt an irresistible urge to laugh.
“This is called waist cleave. Since the central part of the waist is here, the meridian will trigger the nervous system and create an urge to laugh. The ancestors call this the laugh acupoint, but it’s not so magical that it can make someone laugh nonstop,” Song Mian explained.
It was impossible to make someone laugh nonstop, but it could disorient the enemy and give the attacker an upper hand.
Yun Xiangxiang noted that down earnestly, and Song Mian asked Song Qian to train with her. Yun Xiangxiang would miss the central point of the waist every time.
But she got the feel of it after a few times and landed all her attacks accurately.
“Taekwondo mainly focuses on the fighter’s legs, and all their strength is in there, so you can’t make it in time to counter that. Just defend and focus your attack on the upper body.”
When Yun Xiangxiang was familiar with the disabling trick, Song Mian started teaching her a second trick. “Try attacking me with both of your fists.”
Yun Xiangxiang quickly punched him without holding back, because she knew she couldn’t hurt Song Mian.
Song Mian didn’t move his right arm, and instead he dodged twice before blocking her fist with his left forearm when he saw the chance.
His right fist came from underneath his left arm, and it aimed at her chest, but he stopped it before it landed on her body.
Even so, Yun Xiangxiang’s heart could feel a great threat against it, and it pounded against her chest.
“This is called the Chidori. Don’t use your full power if your opponent is a girl. She could be knocked out, or worse: die. How long your opponent is knocked out depends on your strength too,” Song Mian reminded her.
He called Song Qian over to be her sparring partner. “Do your best, and don’t hold back.”
Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t hit Song Qian in the beginning, as she could find a lot of ways to block or even stop her from attacking.
When she finally hit Song Qian, the latter took two steps back and looked like she was fine.
“Not enough strength.” Song Mian shook his head and called Qi Jun over to show Yun Xiangxiang how it was done.
Yun Xiangxiang saw Song Mian punching Qi Jun’s chest and knocking him out cold for two minutes before Qi Jun opened his eyes.
