Chapter 361: Visiting the Tang Residence
“If such a day comes, mother, then I will not give myself up, nor will I struggle to keep him, but I will erase love from my life.”
She would never believe in love again. Not even Ruo Feiqun could make her so resolute in her past life.
She was only upset when Ruo Feiqun got together with Lu Huanong since she did contribute a lot in this relationship. Even so, she never denied love.
If Song Mian one day abandoned her, she would be devastated, but she wouldn’t lose the courage to live just because she lost him.
She would live without love from then on. She would live a better life for her, her parents, and those who loved her.
Su Xiuling hugged Yun Xiangxiang tightly. “I’m proud of you for being so rational and ready to face the worst-case scenario. Don’t tell your father about Song Mian’s family. Let’s only meet his parents when he understands Song Mian more, and when he believes that Song Mian is the man who can give you happiness.”
“Thank you, mom.” Yun Xiangxiang hugged Su Xiuling.
She was the best and most understanding mother in the world.
“What are you two doing?” Yun Zhibin came over when he didn’t see his wife and daughter.
“It’s some girl talk. Do you have a problem with that?” Su Xiuling didn’t speak nicely.
Yun Ting also remembered what Su Xiuling said. “Not telling daddy.”
Yun Zhibin was speechless.
Am I still the head of the family? What’s my status in the family?
When Yun Ting joined them, and when she noticed Yun Zhibin looking annoyed, Yun Xiangxiang laughed.
“Where’s the Song brat? Doesn’t he know I’m leaving two days later? Why didn’t he come here? He’s so insincere,” Yun Zhibin nitpicked Song Mian to get away from this.
The doorbell rang at this moment. Since Li Xiangling was in the living room, she got the door. Song Mian was standing outside.
“Your boyfriend is here, Xiangxiang,” Li Xiangling called her.
“The person you’re missing is here, dad.” Yun Xiangxiang chuckled.
Yun Zhibin glared at her before going out, while Yun Xiangxiang took Yun Ting and followed him.
Yun Ting adored Song Mian, and he waddled toward Song Mian when he saw Song Mian. “Daddy misses you.”
“Pfft.” Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t hold back her laughter.
Yun Zhibin’s face darkened. All of you are traitors.
Song Mian was flattered. “Do you want to play a couple of rounds with me, Uncle Yun?”
Song Mian gave Yun Zhibin an excuse to retreat, and Yun Zhibin snorted. “Come then.”
Yun Zhibin and Song Mian played Go again, and at least Yun Zhibin liked playing Go with Song Mian now.
Song Mian proposed to take them out for some fun after they had lunch, and Yun Ting cheered.
He would take them there for the day and come back tomorrow morning, and they even prepared a few things at the last moment.
They came to a resort that took up an enormous amount of land. They could have roasted suckling pig here or prepare their food since they did provide barbecue tools.
There were play areas for the kids, while the teens could go for ice skating or snooker, while there were rooms for the adults to play chess or cards. The owner knew how to play Go, and he welcomed them himself, even playing Go with Yun Zhibin...
The place provided everything for everyone. There was even a library here that collected rare literary works, both foreign and domestic.
Yun Xiangxiang felt that she could sit here for a whole day, and Song Meng went to fly a kite as she couldn’t wait for Yun Xiangxiang.
They had fun for a day and a night before Song Mian arranged some transport to send Yun Xiangxiang and her family back.
Song Mian came to send Yun Zhibin off on the twenty-sixth, so Yun Zhibin could be quiet on the way back.
Yun Xiangxiang only sent them to the airport’s parking lot, but she didn’t get down from the car, as there were more and more people waiting at the airport so they could block her.
“Let’s go to Guangdong tomorrow,” Song Mian told Yun Xiangxiang as he drove back.
“Really?” Yun Xiangxiang thought Song Mian was warning Tang Zhiyu.
If it weren’t because of Tang Zhiyu blatantly following Yun Xiangxiang, Song Mian would end up warning him, since he didn’t have that much time to waste on Tang Zhiyu.
But if Tang Zhiyu wanted to provoke him, Song Mian had to be serious, or Tang Zhiyu would be unafraid.
Song Mian nodded. “Do you have time for this?”
“I do.”
The Venice Film Festival would be held on the thirtieth. Yun Xiangxiang would be meeting up with Wu Zhao and the others on the twenty-eighth. He Wei didn’t arrange anything for her for these two days.
Song Mian wanted to bring her to visit the Tang Family, which was an acknowledgment of her identity. Since she had to face this sooner or later, she would go with him, as she had time.
“Let’s go to New York after our trip to Venice. I want to send the diamonds there and bring the Star of Peace back,” Yun Xiangxiang mentioned this to Song Mian.
“I’ll need to go to New York too since there is some academic research there that I need to attend to,” Song Mian told her his plan. “It’s research about leukemia, and I need to talk with some authoritative experts.”
Yun Xiangxiang nodded as this was a disease that was hard to cure. Song Mian alone wasn’t enough to think from every aspect.
No matter how powerful someone was, they would still have blind spots. Only by communicating with some experienced experts could they make an easier breakthrough.
Yun Xiangxiang had He Wei drive her to Huan Yu to sign the contract after she was home.
After signing the contract, she could borrow “The Star of Peace” to add to the film, and the talks with MonRoe was done.
Xie Manliang’s first reaction was not surprised and he said seriously, “I thank you for thinking so much for the film, Yun, but I can’t bear the consequences if the Star of Peace is lost.”
“Don’t worry, Mr. Xie Manliang. I will be responsible for the Star of Peace. I can give you Austin’s number, and you can talk to him about how many stones you will need. Just give him a quotation, since he’s very earnest about sponsoring us.” Yun Xiangxiang smiled.
Xie Manliang worked in Hollywood, so he knew about the Star of Peace’s explosive news last year. Without Yun Xiangxiang, MonRoe would have lost the Star of Peace and be impacted heavily.
Xie Manliang wasn’t surprised Yun Xiangxiang could borrow the Star of Peace. Still, Xie Manliang thought Yun Xiangxiang was a calm, smart lady, and yet she didn’t seem like she considered the possibility of losing the Star of Peace.
She seemed to have something to rely on, and losing the Star of Peace wouldn’t faze her in any way.
“Okay, I shall contact Austin then.” Since Yun Xiangxiang was confident, Xie Manliang was happy to accept this.
The Star of Peace was a great gimmick, as there were a lot of his countrymen who longed for the Star of Peace.
There must be a lot of people here who had never heard of such a gigantic green diamond either, so they wouldn’t skimp out on a ticket if they wanted to see how it truly looked like.
