Chapter 365 - 365 - Meet Again

Chapter 365 - 365 - Meet Again

Now the official admission ceremony for prospective students will soon begin. All prospective students had gathered in the hall. Soo Yin had already sat there since 15 minutes ago but she hadn't seen Jae-hwa. She felt lonely because there was no one to talk to. Soo Yin wasn't the type of girl who can get along with people she just met.

"Are you looking for me?" said Jae-hwa who appeared from behind. Made Soo Yin almost jump up in surprise.

"Ah, where have you been?" Soo Yin said a little nervously and stuttered. Jae-hwa wasn't usually so confident in himself.

"I'm went to the toilet," Jae-hwa said then plopped down on the chair right next to Soo Yin. He put his hands behind her back.

Soo Yin wanted to move her body slightly away but she didn't feel good. Jae-hwa's behavior today was really confused her. Jae-hwa wasn't usually this brave.

"Oh, yes. Is uncle coming today?" Jae-hwa asked starting a conversation between them. It was quite surprising because it was usually Soo Yin who always started the conversation.

Soo Yin wondered of what really happened to Jae-hwa. All she knew was that Jae-hwa was a quiet type of guy.

"No, my father is busy so he can't go back to Seoul," Soo Yin said with a heavy sigh.

"How about you? Is grandma coming?" Soo Yin asked back.

"Of course not, I didn't allow them to leave for fear of exhaustion. They're not young anymore. It seems like only our parents who didn't come," Jae-hwa said while observing Soo Yin's appearance today, which looked completely different.

Soo Yin turned her face to the other way. Uneasy with Jae-hwa who kept looking at her.

"I just realized that you look different today," said Jae-hwa nervously. Because this was the first time he dared to express his heart.

"It must be because of my haircut?" Soo Yin said while smoothing her bangs.

"Right, you look like still in high school," said Jae-hwa.

"Don't brag," Soo Yin said with a flushed face.

Jae-hwa was quite happy that they were in the same faculty. That meant there will be a chance to get close to her. He had already decided to become closer to Soo Yin. Based on his grandmother's advice, a man must dare to express his feelings if he didn't want other men to went ahead.

Now the new student admissions event had begun. Everyone was silent as they listened to what was going on.

They listened to the senior students who were giving speeches. Then mentioned the names of the prospective students who had been announced some time ago.

Everyone cheered because the event was very enjoyable.

Waiting for Soo Yin who was following the event in the hall, Dae Hyun went around the campus again. Dae Hyun hadn't studied there for decades, but the place hadn't changed. There was a library that used to be his favorite place with Mi Young.

Even though he only spent a short time with Mi Young at the same campus, he always remembered that they often spent time together in the library.

Only until the second semester Mi Young and Dae Hyun could study together. After that, Mi Young really moved out and Dae Hyun never saw her again. Before finally meeting her a few months ago.

Dae Hyun continued to walk while putting his hands in his pants pockets. His eyes looked at several buildings that were already towering, Dae Hyun didn't realize that someone was walking towards him with so many piles of books in her hands.

 Brukk…

The collision was unavoidable until the book fell to the floor.

"Sorry," said Dae Hyun. He hurriedly helped to pick up the scattered books. For a moment, their gazes met.

Mi Young looked at Dae Hyun's eyes with a feeling of emptiness. There was something caught in those eyeballs.

"Mi Young? What are you here for?" The question just slipped from Dae Hyun's lips. It was natural to ask because Mi Young transferred college at that time.

"Ah, I will be a backup lecturer here," Mi Young said, immediately realized, from the peaceful gaze of a former lover who she can't deny that she still had feelings for him.

"Is it true?" Dae Hyun knitted his brows together.

"Right. Then what are you here for? Are you going to be a lecturer too?" Mi Young asked.

"No, I just came here to drop Soo Yin off. She just got accepted into this university." There was nothing to hide from Mi Young so Dae Hyun told her the truth.

They then stood up after tidying the book back up. Dae Hyun can't bear to see Mi Young having trouble carrying books. So he decided to help her.

"Don't bother, let me carry it myself," Mi Young refused.

"No problem," said Dae Hyun quickly.

"Then where is your wife now?" Mi Young asked as she looked down the hall. Looked like prospective students had left.

"Maybe she will come out soon," said Dae Hyun. He looked at Mi Young for a moment, felt pity to know that her marriage had failed.

"Mi Young, I'm sorry for what happened to your household. I didn't know Je Ha was a lecherous man," he added.

Mi Young smiled faintly because Dae Hyun must knew about her private life with Je Ha. Their relationship this time was very complicated. Je Ha didn't divorce her, but oftentimes, many women were brought home. Her status was just as a useless wife.

"How did you know that?" Mi Young raised her eyebrows. She didn't know that Dae Hyun had sent him to prison.

"Soo Yin almost became his victim. I can't believe you married a man like him," said Dae Hyun.

"Sorry, I've thrown him in jail," he added.

"So you did it?" There was a pleasure to know that.

"Hmm, I'm sorry again."

"No problem, hopefully that will deter him."

"Did you regret it? Did you regret for not keeping our relationship?" Mi Young remembered when her parents told Dae Hyun that they would set her up with Je Ha. Dae Hyun even kept silent without making a defense.
