Chapter 518 - 518 - Luckily, I Got Her First,
After half an hour outside, Soo Yin finally re-entered the restaurant. The atmosphere was still crowded with visitors even though it was already ten o'clock at night.
Soo Yin walked into the kitchen to approach Dae Hyun who was struggling with his cooking. She can see sweat dripping down his forehead. So Soo Yin helped to wipe it using a tissue.
"Honey, take a rest if you're tired," said Soo Yin while wiping the sweat on her husband's forehead.
"Seeing you smile so sweetly makes my tiredness go away," Dae Hyun teased, causing Soo Yin's cheeks to turn red.
"No need to brag," said Soo Yin with hot cheeks.
The female visitors were envious of their closeness which was clearly visible from the visitor's seat.
"Why would I lie. I'm telling the truth," said Dae Hyun with a smile. If there was no one, he would have hugged her.
"If you want to make out, go inside. I can't cook well when I'm in a bad mood seeing you two together," quipped Kim Ji Won, who was cooking.
Kim Ji Won was one of Dae Hyun's friends who had been living abroad to pursue his dream of becoming a chef. But in the end, he wanted to return to Korea. At first, Kim Ji Won was very surprised to hear Dae Hyun's confession that Soo Yin was his wife. Given their age was too far away.
Now Kim Ji Won was feeling nauseous because Soo Yin's sweet attitude towards Dae Hyun was too much. His wife, who was his age, didn't act like that.
"Just say it if you're jealous," Dae Hyun quipped as he narrowed his eyes.
"I'd better go back to helping the others. Sorry, for disturbing you," said Soo Yin before the chaos caused by her presence happened. So she immediately rushed out of the kitchen because she felt bad for Kim Ji Won.
"Honey, wait!" called Dae Hyun but it was a shame because his wife was gone.
"This is all because of what you said," Dae Hyun accused.
"Why do you blame me? I just feel sorry for visitors who don't bring their partners. They must be tormented by the romance between the two of you. If you want to be together, just go into the room," quipped Kim Ji Won with a focused gaze on the pan.
"Just say you're jealous because your wife is so stiff and cold," said Dae Hyun with a chuckle.
"Never mind, don't talk about my household. We'd better focus on cooking. By the way, it looks like you're better at cooking than your little wife," said Kim Ji Won.
"Of course, I am destined to be versatile so that any job is not difficult to do," said Dae Hyun proudly while observing the crabs on the grill.
"I can't believe that Soo Yin wants an old man like you. Even though she can get a much more handsome man who is her age," said Kim Ji Won honestly, didn't care if Dae Hyun would be offended by his words.
"Just so you know, many men want her but she's already in love with me. My brother also wanted to make her his wife. Luckily, I got her first," said Dae Hyun, followed by a crisp laugh but his eyes and hands remained focused on his cooking.
Currently, the number of visitors had started to decrease because it was already past dinner time so they can relax a bit. Unlike before, they didn't even have time to drink.
It was now that they felt their hands were starting to get sore.
"Really? Then does Park Soo Hyun accept everything if you are married?" asked Kim Ji Won curiously even though he could already guess what happened.
"I don't care if he accepts it or not, Soo Yin will remain my wife forever," Dae Hyun said firmly.
"You don't want to give in to your own brother, huh," Kim Ji Won pouted while snorting. Reluctant to ask about Aeri because he already knew a little about the news from his family.
"Let me be, the most important thing is that I'm happy," said Dae Hyun without emotion. It turned out that the job of cooking made him much more able to feel the true happiness.
Dae Hyun thought that it was better to be a chef than to work in a company. But unfortunately he had already signed the contract agreement. There was no way Dae Hyun would just resign. He should at least work a few months.
Dae Hyun rushed to get a job because he didn't want Soo Yin to worry that they will live in poverty. He also didn't want their lives to be down after they got everything.
It was getting late, now one by one, the visitors had started to leave the restaurant. Soo Yin hurriedly closed the door so that no more visitors would come because their supplies of raw materials had also run out. Only a few which were still available in the storage space.
"Finally we're finished for today," said Dae Hyun while stretching the muscles of his body that felt sore and stiff.
"I'd better go straight home. I haven't even had time to meet my family but you've forced me to work here," grumbled Kim Ji Won who was already feeling tired.
"Don't nag, if this restaurant is a success then I will pay you double," said Dae Hyun casually.
"Money can't replace the time I lost with my family," said Kim Ji Won.
"Never mind, see you tomorrow morning everyone," said Kim Ji Won, who immediately walked towards the door to get out.
The other workers had gone home now, only the four of them who were still there. Aunt Xia had also said goodbye to go home with Chung Ho.
"Jean, I'd better take you home," said Chang Yuan.
"No need to bother, Assistant Chang. I can walk because my house is not far from here either," said Jean gently. Felt bad for always bothering the man.
"Jean, it's not good to refuse a man's invitation," Soo Yin teased for Jean to accept Chang Yuan's invitation.
"From now on, don't call him Assistant because now Chang Yuan has officially become the manager of this restaurant," said Dae Hyun.
"Right, I almost forgot," said Soo Yin.
"Congratulations on your new position, Manager Chang," Soo Yin said as she reached out to congratulate him.
"Miss, don't overdo it. This is all because of Mr. Dae Hyun's kindness," said Chang Yuan, who was embarrassed because the title of Manager was still too foreign for him.
"Don't hesitate. Hopefully you can bring this restaurant more success," said Dae Hyun. All this time he had trusted Chang Yuan so much. People who are always on time and reliable.
"Thank you again for your kindness all these times, sir," said Chang Yuan with emotion, knowing that if he didn't meet Dae Hyun, he might still be homeless and would not be able to make his family happy in the village.
"You deserve it." Dae Hyun patted Chang Yuan on the shoulder.
"Well, we should go home," continued Dae Hyun because sleepiness had started to come.
