Chapter 174 Don't Let Him Die
Chapter 174 Don't Let Him Die
"Ugh…" Zack's eyes flew open as he felt a retching sensation spreading out inside his body.
He slowly sat up before clutching his mouth. Standing straight up, he moved beside a rock. He bent down on the ground and puked everything inside his stomach.
After doing that, he wiped his mouth and tried to access his inventory. This time, it worked so he took out a bottle of water and rinsed using it before drinking the water.
Zack then looked around to see that he was still on the beach from earlier yet he was wearing his old clothes, albeit dry.
'So I am alone and stranded on an island with no idea where I am.' He sighed before taking his phone watch out of the inventory.
He turned it on and used the Doogle maps to see that he was still under the Pacific ocean.
'So I guess I have to just find the Phoenix.' Zack thought as he turned around to see the forest stretching behind him.
Seeing no other option, Zack decided to explore the island. With Chastiefol in one hand and Gugnir in the other, he ventured inside the forest.
The entire atmosphere was extremely humid and the temperature was high as well. Zack would have been sweating buckets if he had not summoned the subform of Chastiefol and used it as cover for himself.
'Why did I come here anyway?' Zack thought as he continued to walk north.
He didn't encounter a single living being in his path as he tried to remember the events that had happened before his arrival on the island.
He and his friends had set out to find someone but he couldn't remember who it was. Zack had the name and image on the tip of his tongue yet no matter how hard he thought, he couldn't remember it.
'Damn it, what was it!' The thing kept bugging him for some time and soon enough, evening arrived.
Zack realized that he could no longer continue in the night. Despite how strong he was and how many skills he had, something about the island didn't feel right to him.
Due to that, he decided to spend the night in a sheltered place even though he was not going to sleep.
Zack had already seen one or two openings like the entrance of the cave while exploring the place and decided to go spend the night in one of them.
Night soon came as Zack lit a fire and tried to remember the purpose he had come to below the Pacific ocean.
Another hour went by in this manner and Zack had been going around in circles. However, a rustling sound broke his chain of thoughts.
Zack stood up while summoning Chastiefol in his right hand and Gugnir in another. He looked around carefully to see something moving from one tree to another.
His god-level vision allowed him to see the figure was a cloaked person who had a mask on his face which usually meant danger.
As a precaution, Zack shifted to the second form of Chastiefol and made the daggers fly forward.
Shockingly, a similar pair of daggers flew out of the place of the trees and clashed with Zack's daggers. His eyes widened in surprise as he quickly recalled the daggers and changed them to their original form.
Suddenly, the daggers in front of him too turned into a spear, one that was the same as Chastiefol.
'What the…' Zack raised his right hand and threw blue flames towards the trees.
From the opposite side, darker blue flames flew out and countered his flames. Zack's face looked completely abashed as he stepped forward while tightening his grip on Gugnir.
His eyes tracked the moments of the person but he remained silent. He waited for the figure to reach in front of him before it too stopped.
Zack got to get a good look at the figure. The person was the same height as him and was built similarly too. Zack decided to ask a question but was beaten by the figure.
"Don't bother asking anything. I will just answer your questions myself." The figure spoke in a muffled voice which identified him as a male.
He raised his hand to his face and took down the mask.
"What the…" Zack's jaw dropped down when he saw the face of the person in front of him. Except for his blue hair and brightly glowing purple eyes, the person looked like an exact copy of Zack.
"Well, I am you from the past, or rather, a physical representation of what you were in the past. Kai fked up a bit so now you have ended up with all of your memories up to a certain point taking being changed into a physical form which is me."
The new Zack appeared as his Chastiefol appeared above his head before gently settling down beside him.
"Our time is limited so I will explain what you need to do to remember everything," New Zack then stared at Chastiefol before muttering a chant. "True Spirit Spear Chastiefol, Third Form, Drop of Resurrection."
The golden spear evolved into an enormous flower that blossomed above New Zack's head.
Both he and Zack knew about the flower as they had seen it many times. Instead, New Zack pointed Zack towards the petals of the flower.
"Fly up and touch it."
Zack hesitated to do so before shaking his head and slowly flying up. He caressed one of the golden ten golden petals of the flower as a new notification appeared in front of him.
[ The third form of Chastiefol: Solar Petals has been unlocked. ]
[ The ability to use the true form once at the price of fifty percent of your mana has been unlocked. Such a thing can only be done once. ]
"As you already know, this ability is one of the most overpowered abilities anywhere so you already know that you shouldn't waste it," New Zack then smiled as his face started fading. "You will know when you will have to use it."
"Eh?"
"Don't eh me and make sure that you don't let him die." New Zack said one last time before he closed his eyes and slowly faded away.
The golden flower then turned gray and was slowly blown away by the wind, leaving Zack alone in the forest.
