Chapter 81 Conquering The Underground Fish Dungeon
Chapter 81 Conquering The Underground Fish Dungeon
*Guys, I found a dungeon* Zack immediately sent the message out to the rest of his group members as all of them before sharing his location with them.
Within a few minutes, all of them had gathered at the place and looked around with a confused expression.
"Where is the dungeon?" Lisa asked while raising her eyebrows as Zack pointed at the ground a few meters away from them.
The group then saw a hole in the ground that was barely large enough to fit one of them inside it.
They gave Zack a weird look as though saying "You expect us to go down the rabbit's hole?"
Zack had already expected this so to prove that he had indeed found a dungeon, he moved towards the hole and jumped down it.
Like a slide, Zack went underground before he suddenly hit solid rock ground.
After standing up, the black-haired boy looked around with a smile on his face as he perfectly remembered how the dungeon looked.
The entire place was an underwater lake with land and in the lake, there were a variety of killer fishes
*Guys, wait for a few minutes while I investigate this place.* After sending the message, Zack looked at the roof of the cave with a smile.
There were pretty numerous pointy rocks hanging from the ceiling and if the earthquake had been above 4 magnitudes, the entire dungeon would have been destroyed.
'The lake still looks the same.' Zack thought with a smile as he looked at the huge lake in the middle of the cave.
The lake was at least 2 kilometers wide and covered 90% of the cave. In the middle of the lake, Zack saw numerous fishes swimming around as a smile bloomed on his face.
"Solo mode, hard difficulty." After choosing the options of the dungeon, the black-haired boy bent down towards the edge of the lake and touched the water with his index finger.
"Lightning sparks." As soon as he muttered the name of the skill, lightning appeared from his fingers and traveled through the entire water.
All the fishes that had spawned to fight Zack were electrocuted before they could do anything.
The battle was over in a matter of seconds as tons of cooked fish floated on the surface of the water. Zack put all of them in his inventory before looking at his level with a smile.
He had gained two levels by just clearing the normal mode of the dungeons in which the fishes were between levels 10 to 15.
Now all that was left was the boss battle and he would have cleared the dungeon at a normal level.
[ Platinum Piranha (level 17) (25000 hp): A piranha that was born in this very lake and is an expert at using water moves.
Special move: Piranha Tsunami ]
As soon as the boss battle started, a piranha with silver scales and a red jaw appeared on the surface of the water. The piranha was as huge as a fully grown average adult male.
Its special move was something to fear too since the platinum piranha would summon a ton of small piranhas and they would move towards Zack while riding a tsunami wave.
[ Cooldown: 30 seconds, 29 seconds…]
Lightning sparks was still on cooldown so Zack immediately used the Swift lightning technique and appeared above the piranha.
[ Cooldown: 2 seconds, 1 second, none ]
"Lightning sparks!" Tendrils of purple lightning shot out from Zack's hand as they immediately passed through the water and the piranha.
"Phew." Zack was now floating in the water with a dead piranha body beside himself. He managed to gain another level and reach level 15.
'That option should be there too.' Zack thought with a smile as he moved towards the surface before using his blue flames to completely dry himself.
[ Normal (Auto fight) ]
A grin appeared on Zack's face as he looked at the auto fight option. Certain hidden dungeons had this option.
Once you conquered a dungeon at a difficulty level, you could just set your character on auto fight and everything will go smoothly.
*Guys, come down here and look what I found!* Zack chose this moment to call the group down since he had wanted to make sure that the auto grind option was still available.
One by one, all four of them reached the surface of the cave as they looked at Zack with a confused expression.
"Why do you look so happy for a common dungeon? We will still have to spend hours grinding here." Emma asked with a bored expression as Zack shook his head.
"All four of you should go ahead and fight the dungeon yourself to see what will happen next," Zack replied with a smile as the four of them chose party mode at normal difficulty.
The battle then started with the eel-like creatures swimming towards the group at a quick pace.
Emma immediately notched three arrows in her bow and released them towards the water. The arrows she was using were waterproof and could be called back.
Sadly, the pink-haired woman only had three such arrows in her possession.
"Retrieve!" After killing three eels, the arrows flew back to Emma's hands but by then, Lisa had prepared a small formation.
"Show me one of your arrows." While pushing her blond hair back, Lisa took one of Emma's waterproof arrows and waved her right hand over it.
A golden symbol of lightning appeared on the arrow's shaft as Lisa sighed and handed the arrow back.
Creating formations was mentally tiring for the players and the more tired they were, the more time they would take to create the formations.
Now looking at Lisa, Zack realized that the blond girl was tried by creating many formations in short gaps.
But after this, she wouldn't have to do it anymore since there was a particular thing that the entire group was going to do.
Emma notched the arrow Lisa handed and pointed it towards the lake before releasing the string. The arrow went inside the lake with a bang as purple lightning emerged from the middle of the arrow.
"I didn't know you could create elemental formations." Zack looked at Lisa with an interested gaze as she smiled.
"I, too, didn't know that you knew so much about formations."
"Fair point." Looking at the lake, Zack realized that the lightning from the formation Lisa had created was still present in the water.
So if the boss were to appear at that point…
'Looks like I underestimated Lisa's skill.' The platinum piranha spawned in the middle of the lake with its entire body glowing brightly.
But suddenly, the piranha froze as the lightning running in the water paralyzed its body. Emma immediately shot the piranha down in the next moment and leveled up once.
"So now that we have defeated this dungeon so quickly, what were you saying?" Emma asked back as Zack asked her to come together and form a party with him.
After the two of them had formed a separate party, Zack went on the difficulty page again.
"What the f…" Emma's jaw dropped when she saw the auto fight option on the normal mode.
If what she was thinking was correct, it would mean that she and Zack would soon be able to reach their past level.
"We are going to be climbing back again," Zack replied with a smile as he turned to look at Lisa, Marcus, and Jack. "You guys can go and do whatever you want now. However, make sure that you cover the entrance and prevent anyone from coming here."
Lisa sighed at his words as she nodded and looked at the direction she had come down from. After going near the slide-like opening, a notification appeared in front of her.
[ Leave the dungeon? ]
After thinking yes, a light suddenly enveloped Lisa's body and she appeared back on top of the land.
Jack and Marcus followed her example and the two of them appeared on top of the land too.
Lisa then got on the ground and started drawing formations around the hole in a circle. Beads of sweat fell down from her forehead as ten minutes later, she had managed to create a basic-looking cloaking formation.
*See you guys soon.* She said to all of them while walking towards her previous guild to make some things clear.
Zack and Emma on the other hand started fighting the dungeon again. The fire to reach the top again was once again raging through their bodies.
"So Zack, what will happen if we go ahead and put the match on auto fight? Can we leave the game and the fight will continue on?" Emma asked while killing a few more eels.
"Yes, we can log out and our avatars will keep on fighting. I guess we better log out and go to meet Evangeline." Zack replied as the two of them finished the boss once again.
After putting the dungeon on auto fighting mode, the duo logged out and went back to their reality.
