Chapter 246 Red Carpet

Chapter 246 Red Carpet

The launch event was much bigger than he anticipated; the latest Mercedes-Benz Maybach was arranged as the courtesy car for Samuel's entrance. It was evident the old man went all out for tonight's event.

The car entered the waiting area at 8 o'clock; although some big names were attending tonight's event, Samuel had to go last as the primary guest of the event. After all, the aura of the heir of the Rothschild consortium was too overwhelming!

"Heh, the old man really took great pains for this press conference," Samuel muttered; he was waiting with his two companions while they chatted in the car.

"I heard that Mr Armani wants to open up the Asia-Pacific market. I have been hearing some chatter about it now and then." Liliana asked.

"That's why we are here. But I am sure it will be a success."

" Are you that confident?" Rosaline was a layman when it came to fashion.

" Yes, I have you two accompanying me. It will surely create a big buzz!" He gave them a knowing look. They also saw where he was looking; the bastard was clearly ogling them.

" Lecherous bastard!"

"..."

At this time, Maybach started again, and it was finally their turn to debut.

...

...

...

Tonight's Broadway Theater was shining more than usual; in one such theatre, a giant Armani logo was arranged and very eye-catching under the neon lights.

Almost all Hollywood figures in the circle were present for the occasion, as no one wanted to be excluded from such a grand event. It was a mixture of actors and models that were, in one way or another, connected to the Armani brand.

Seeing a sheer number of people, one could imagine how important was Armani's position in the fashion circle.

Almost all major newspapers and periodicals sent their reporters, and even major entertainment journals from Europe arrived to cover the news in person.

The French actress Sophie Marceau achieved popularity with her debut films La Boum and its sequel. She was only thirteen then, and over the years, she became a national treasure figure in her country. She just walked through the red carpet, wearing very bold clothes tonight.

British famous media icon Beckham and his wife, Victoria, also appeared on the scene; the two were the perfect combination of sports and entertainment.

"The old man made a big scene today." a reporter of the Los Angeles Times mumbled a few words to the colleague on the side.

"But most of them are already in; it should be almost over, right?" Indeed, the red carpet was coming to an end.

" Right, we should move inside too."

At this time, a Maybach stopped in front of the red carpet. It was an unspoken rule that the later the order was everything for such conventions. The later they arrived, the more critical their standing.

The car door opened and the man who came down was not recognised by them. Although admitted, he was really handsome with a tall, lean physique and unusual hair colour.

But there was no denying his outstanding temperament, full of charm between his gestures.

This person was Samuel; after getting off the car, he tidied up his appearance calmly and walked around to the other side of the vehicle.

He skillfully opened the car door and, like a gentleman, reached out with one hand. A slender hand took his invite as his companion proceeded to come out.

Many reporters also craned their necks. How excellent was the female companion of such a handsome man?

Liliana held Samuel's outstretched hand and gracefully got off, and everyone who was watching couldn't help taking a breath. While they were shocked, Samuel repeated it a second time; Rosaline, wearing her fiery dress, nervously exited too.

Not one, but two peerless beauties? Did such luck exist in this world?

It was not only Samuel but their debut, too; three of them were not known to the public yet. At this time, both girls had already taken Samuel's arm and stepped onto the red carpet.

"Please look over here!" Many reporters kept shouting just to take a few more photos.

But everyone was still puzzled about their identities. It was not uncommon for influential people to attend such a ceremony, but their coming at last was what confused them.

Was it because of this man? Was he some unknown superstar in the Asia-Pacific region? But even so, it was not enough to justify an appearance at this time.

This is the United States; even if you were a dragon in the other region, you couldn't be arrogant here. There was a reason, Hollywood dominated the world cinema!

"Ah, I know who he is; it is Samuel Rothschild! I have seen him before, the heir of the Rothschild Consortium!." As expected, the reporters caught on soon, and the answer was finally revealed.

Everyone suddenly realized that the Rothschild family came, the most potent consortium in the world, and Samuel were the top-second generation who made some buzz a week ago!

No wonder they got such priority treatment!

Upon hearing the sudden cheer, Samuel, walking with Liliana and Rosaline, waved toward the crowd who had already fallen into madness. This persona was not as famous as his acting one, but it was enough to garner discussion among the onlookers.

However,  a sudden disharmony appeared at one corner of the event.

Not far away from the red carpet, a woman was arguing with the staff about something. She had a very dissatisfied expression on her face while she explained the to the teams about the circumstances.

"I was really invited to attend the press conference, but unfortunately, I lost my invitation letter." The woman anxiously said and gestured, but as she was speaking in broken English with some foreign language mixed in between, the staff couldn't understand it at all.

They just kept repeating in America that they could only enter let her enter with an invitation letter.

Party hopping on the red carpet? This is Samuel's first thought. It was typical for low-profile third or fourth-tier stars to do such things to gain some attention.

They would use photos of themselves on the red carpet for recognition during the hiring process. It was accessible by giving reporters a few bucks for their time.

However, Samuel soon rejected this idea. He was familiar with this girl, Koo Hye-sun, who was considered a first-class actress in South Korea. How does he know this? Because Darren was a massive fan of idols and Korean drama.

He practically dragged him to watch shows with him, and gradually, Samuel came to like the subtle charm of Korean culture. His Taekwondo master was also Korean; pity he couldn't visit him over the years, but they kept in touch.

Samuel practically knew most of the famous stars of that industry, but it was evident that this was not the case for most western people. For them, Koo Hye-sun was just passerby.

" Maybe Armani invited some Asian stars to participate in this conference to generate hype in the Asia-Pacific market. But the old man obviously didn't pay much attention to it, just sent out an invitation letter." Samuel thought and sighed.

There could be a hidden reason for it, but he didn't have time to dwell on it; he had to at least help her or else if Darren found out about it, he would unnecessarily make a fuss about it.

"Excuse me, this lady was indeed invited by the old man; I can testify for her," Samuel said to the security.

Hearing that Samuel said it, the staff let them go without hesitation. They knew more than anyone how much their boss emphasised treating this man like a king! His identity was the best guarantee for them.

Even if the other party was not an invited guest, as long as the testimony of Samuel was revealed, they would not be punished by their boss.

Koo Hye-sun felt she was fortunate this time; she couldn't believe the young man had helped him.

A week ago, her agent came rushing in with the news that she had received an invitation letter from Armani. It was for a new product launch. She was definitely excited by the prospect of going overseas.

As a young emerging actress, such exposure was guaranteed to elevate her national status. It was a shame she had to invite herself to LA to participate. But she never expected a grand welcome as she knew the Korean industry was only a speck compared to western Hollywood.

Although she was sceptical, it was a chance she couldn't miss. But soon she found out that outside South Korea, she had almost no influence, not to mention the USA, which is farther away on the other side of the pacific ocean.

She repeatedly asked her agent to verify the letter's validity, and each time, the agent was adamant that it was real.

After this, she had to use a lot of connections to get a Visa; fortunately, she had competent people around her who could acquire it before the deadline. She was excited when she reached the LAX, but unexpectedly, after coming to America, bad luck seemed to follow her everywhere!
