Chapter 508 Drinking Fiasco-3
Twelve hours ago, Samuel arrived outside Dhia's apartment. It was a small gated place, a three-story tall building. It hardly looked like the ideal place to live, but due to the small land mass and high population, these buildings would cost millions.
It was also closer to central London where Buckingham Palace was, just that alone raised land prices through the roof. Samuel looked at the narrow road; he was reminded of the time when he first visited these types of streets. There was hardly any place to park!
" Drive up to that small tree, that's my usual parking spot." Dhia instructed him. She didn't meddle much with London elites, so she didn't know what he was feeling. After parking, he carried the whole alcohol crate inside the gate.
It was already ten when they reached her home, but there were still people walking around. A few of them stared at them for quite a while, looking at the assorted bottles neatly placed inside the crate. Dhia seemed to be acquainted with them, so she would only nod from afar without saying anything.
Samuel, on the other hand, was excited to get drunk after a long time. He also noticed that the buildings were quite close to one another; he wondered if people would file noise complaints if they bumped up the music!
" Nice place. You said it was rented?"
" Yes, come in first. Even though I don't mind, the landlady wouldn't like the gossip." She was indirectly worried about the temper of the owner. Samuel didn't know, but he was about to meet her. That was how he ended up drunk beyond his capacity.
" Just stay still, it will be over in a second. Don't say anything unnecessary and nod along my explanation. Alright?"
" Yeah-"
" Good." She rang the doorbell, but nothing happened. She thought that no one was at home, but that's when a few shuffling was heard behind the door.
" Who is it?" A female voice could be heard; it was sweet, so Samuel expected a lovely lady to come to the door.
" It's me. I am back, can you open it? My hands are full!" Dhia shouted again.
" For fuck sake! Did you forget your keys again? How many times-" The door flung open to reveal a redhead standing with a grumpy face. She was shorter than Dhia and was wearing a short and a tank top, but Samuel didn't stare and immediately turned his head away.
He noticed that she wasn't wearing any undergarments, which made everything exposed, although there was not much to reveal to begin with!
" Who is this boy?" The lady ignored Dhia and walked up to Samuel. She squinted her eyes and observed Samuel carefully.
" Come on! Aunt Kate, can you invite us in before going sherlock holm on me? We have been standing here for minutes!" Dhia grabbed her from behind to drag her inside again.
" Wait! It's the first time I had seen you bring a boy here! What's more he looks handsome too?" Kate didn't care about her appearance and started hounding Dhia for answers.
" How many times have I told you to wear your glasses? Did you lose them again?" Dhia facepalmed and started looking around. It was highly chaotic, and Samuel didn't even have time to introduce himself.
He thought that he was going to drink for a few hours and have a good night's sleep, but now, had he fallen into the parent's trap? The redhead woman's name was Kate, and from the looks of it, she wasn't Dhia's real aunt; she was barely above thirty if he had to guess.
What's more, her thick accent mostly gave away her origin; he had heard it throughout his whole life. It was definitely Scottish but not Glasgow accent or Edinburgh, which were hard to understand. It was a much-done-down version mixed with the standard British accent.
" Where should I place this?" He asked.
" Oh, my eyes really have gone bad? I didn't saw that you brought some gifts for me!" She gave Samuel a light pat on the back. Even though he was a lot taller than her, she was treating him like a kid.
" Here, wear this. We are going up stairs to my flat. I thought I should tell you beforehand because it might get loud." Dhia came out holding Kate's glasses. Samuel could see how powerful they were from them distorting the things looked through them. It was no wonder the little lady was unable to see anything.
" Oh, so my little girl finally grew up! Don't worry I will not disturb you-" She put on the glasses and looked at Samuel again. " Oh, what do you say your name was?"
" I am Samuel." He took a step back with how much she was leaning on his face. It's not like she could reach it, but with how much she was trying, something else started catching his eyes.
" You really outdid yourself with this one, girl. But he still need some lesson on fashion otherwise a great find!" She laughed.
" I am not a treasure and we are only having few drinks."
" He is right, we are only friends. Don't go around making unnecessary judgements." Dhia added.
" Too bad, what about older women? Have you ever been with one?" She gave Samuel a seductive look, but by this time, Samuel was sure that this woman was crazy! She was all over the place!
" Umm...that..."
"Hahaha, I am just fucking with you. I tend to make jokes occasionally; don't mind me." She started laughing her ass off. Samuel was genuinely confused and showed an excellent reaction to her question.
" Alright, enough messing around. We are leaving." Dhia had enough of it. She had gone through the exact same thing dozens of times. Whenever she brought a friend over, if Kate was home, she would always mess with them. It became a ritual!
" Wait! We could do it together like old times. I still remember your face when you first tasted beer. With such a good collection, I can make a lot of good drinks. Beside, it's weekend we can get drunk as much as we like!"
" Don't remind me of that time! You always said it tasted sweet up until the point you jammed it down my throat! It was one of the most horrifying day of my life!" Dhia shuddered, thinking about it.
" Come on! It will be fun. I don't like drinking alone, when would I ever get another chance to drink with you together like this? You always refuse to drink with me!"
Dhia looked at Samuel, to which he just shrugged. He didn't have any problem with it; the more, the merrier, granted that the landlady was a teaser other than that he couldn't give any reason to say no.
" Great! Don't think too much about it. I will prepare the best cocktails for you! Just sit back and enjoy!"
Within minutes, Kate set up simple ingredients on the round table as they sat around. She prepared a few drinks, and upon tasting them, Samuel was genuinely surprised. He later found that she ran a bar in town, which was pretty famous for cocktails.
Kate didn't work as a bartender, but she learned a few tricks from her employees. It was best because she was an avid drinker, which could be associated with her Scottish heritage.
...
...
...
" Hahaha, you should have seen her face. She fell asleep on the floor but due to the carpet her whole face was covered in rashes. It was glorious!" Kate slammed the table as she laughed out loud.
It's been half an hour already, and everyone was starting to get drunk; Kate was sharing some of Dhia's embarrassing stories while Samuel listened while chuckling alongside Dhia, who was feeling hot in the face due to anger.
Unlike Samuel and Kate, she had already been drinking heavily with Emma and Darren. After drowning a few glasses, she was already bobbing her head.
" D-dont talk about it! I-i had no other c-choice.... you guys left me there!" She screamed with fury.
" It's hilarious, though." Samuel's face was turning red, too. It was not like him to bully someone, but at the moment, he liked Dhia's reactions. He had disabled his abilities regarding alcohol, and now he was like an average person. No, it was below normal because he was not used to drinking yet!
" Oh yeah? T-then I will say something a-about you too! You know aunt, he fought....today."
" Seriously?"
" Yeah, there was tens of people! I t-thought I would die! But h-he saved me!"
" Alright, that's enough. You had enough of it." Samuel stopped her before she said anything dangerous.
" Come on! Tell me more!" Kate was intrigued. Kate knew instantly, looking at Dhia's expression.
" I will tell you about it. But first, I should put her to bed." Samuel could distort the truth, but with Dhia, it would be harder to do so. Kate wanted to protest, but she saw that Dhia had already passed out. She told him to put her in her spare room.
Samuel nodded and tucked Dhia on the bed before coming out. Now, he was alone with Kate, but he didn't think much of it. They started talking and drinking again.
Kate had much more alcohol tolerance, but Samuel was giving her a run for her money. They were laughing and giggling about strange topics. Samuel started to notice her appearance more; her oval face, freckled nose, and light brown eyes were appealing to him.
But the most attractive feature was her uncontrollable laughter and the broad smile that would accompany it. It was only for a minute before he focused on their conversations again. It was uncertain what happened when he drowned her last glass, but the following day, they were tied to the waist and buried under bed sheets!
