Chapter 662: First Alcohol-1
Chapter 662: First Alcohol-1
Amanda and Nicole had prepared food already, they were waiting at the entrance when Samuel escorted his parents inside. They were looking around seeing the unfinished house slowly taking shape.
Surrounded by nature and built on top of a stone foundation, it looked like the perfect place to relax after a long day of work.
" It looks cozy when compared to other houses here." Aaron commented.
" There is a lot of room for expansion but for now, this would do to host tens or so people. We also have a pool and a beautiful garden. Those are great places to enjoy during sunny days." Mayra added.
" I will show you around but before that we should have something to eat." Samuel added. They reached the entrance that's when Carol noticed Amanda and Nicole.
" Good evening, Lady Carol." They both greeted her respectfully but Carol walked forward to hug Nicole.
" Why are you acting like stranger? Look at you all grown up. How many years has it been since we last met?" Nicole was a little taken aback. She didn't think she would get such a warm greeting.
" At least three years, Ma'am" She kept her calm and replied.
" It seemed like I have been away for too long. Why don't I ever remember you calling me ma'am before?" Carol was full on pouting when Nicole kept maintaining her professional demeanor infront of her.
" What's the deal with that?" Kayla asked Samuel curiously. Except for her and Mayra, they all were looking at the scene with warm expressions.
" Nothing much, she had taught Nicole some cooking back in the days when she was an apprentice maid. As you know she is the owner of a restaurant, they were quite close in the past but over the years of them not meeting often they seemed to have lost that spark."
" Oh? So she grew up here? I never thought I would see actual maids when I visited this place."
" It's not uncommon in upper class households. Many of them worked with my family for decades so we consider them more as extended family members."
" Is that so? So you're telling me you were never tempted to do anything? I mean, from your track record and how much everyone adores you isn't it normal to you know...get to know them on deeper level."
" What the-" Samuel almost yelled out, thankfully no one saw him reacting. He continued," What part of family did you not understand? Many of them raised me since I was a child, it's idiotic to develop such feeling for them." he denied the allegations.
" So you never considered it? I mean, I see the way she looks at you. She is looking at you right now." Mayra chimed in. Samuel instinctively looked at Nicole direction to catch her glancing at him. Her face turned pink as she turned away from him again.
He chalked it up to what happened earlier of her catching him naked, any girl would feel the same beside he had known Nicole forever, there was no way that there was something going on there right? He was dense when it came to these things as situation sort of divulge in his favour without him doing much. There was literal examples of it happening if one looked around the room!
" That's nothing. It's probably because...you know.." He turned to Kayla to see if it was okay to disclose about what happened to Mayra.
" Well, that may be so but I can tell because of womanly instinct that something is amiss here." Kayla chuckled as she too looked at Nicole catching glimpses of them talking.
" Can we please stop talking about this? If there was something, I would have told you. Have I ever hidden anything from you guys?" It was true that they couldn't judge his character. He never lied to them and always been straight coming about everything, that how they gotten into this mess from the beginning!
If he was some slimy rich brat, there was little chance of either of them giving him any attention. Even if he was the most handsome man on the planet, a character was something needed for a long and loving relationship.
They might have fun together as there was a lustful tension between them but it was much easier to get bored over time living a mundane life even among the elites. A good sense of humour along with deep connections was something any women would yearn overtime.
What's outrageous was his ability to deal with any situation. He was humble, kind and cared about everyone. His prowess on bed was also unmatched, what's more they could want from someone like Samuel?
" That's a solid point."
" I agree. So when are you bringing this Kate lady over?" Kayla on the other hand wasn't done teasing him. In the end he had to step aside as the two girls laughed covering their mouth to not disturb the others.
" I understand. Please don't tease me...aunty." While Nicole finally had to succumb to Carol's provocation and resort back to how she used to call her.
" Don't take her teasing to heart. Even though she has become old, her childish side didn't seem to go away with years." Aaron patted Nicole's head.
" Are you saying I am old?" Carol fired back.
" Of course, even if you look at me like that it will not change that fact."
" Humph, let's go Nicole. I don't like talking to rude men!" She grabbed Nicole as they went inside.
The girls were already upstairs cleaning themselves up after playing around in the grass. They soon came downstairs to see Carol helping in the kitchen. Samuel and Amanda tried to stop her but she was not having it. Once she put her mind to do something, only her husband could put some sense in her head.
But Aaron busy at the kitchen station already, there was no chance for a debate. Fortunately there wasn't left to do. Arthur arranged for the cooks in the main mansion to whip something up and they were promptly delivered making it easier on both Amanda and Nicole.
