Chapter 787 Shocking the enemy?-1

While Alexis was ready to change her phone, it rang. She looked at the caller ID and was surprised to see the person calling her. Delphina whom she only met a couple of times in passing during company gathering was calling her?

She had a clear understanding that the other person hated her. Alexis was always around Alan and she knew how he treated her little sister. There were few instances, that she personally witness, subtle berating and public humiliation, even outright sexiet remarks, which was one of the reason why she maintained a professional distance from Alan because she could see the true face behind his facade.

He obviously thought that Delphina was someone who inferior to him. If he was capable there was room for him to be arrogant but even then the way he treated her own sister was something unacceptable.

If not for the Hermes family she would never have stooped so low to work with a character like him. The family emphasized the heavy responsibilities on her shoulder, she was only doing her job. If successful, she would be able to deal with a scum like him in few years.

Ironically, both her and Delphina were moving toward a common goal but due to circumstances, they became enemies.

After hesitating for a moment, she decided to pick up the phone. There was no reason for her to be scared of the other party, she was not weak chicken. Delphina might have gained fame in business circle but Alexis knew that if she debuted earlier, she might not be much worse than her. There were several such noble children that were hidden in the world.

There people would be cultivated from young age and work behind the scenes for many years before taking important whole inside the family. It's mainly because of protection from their enemies and also because they would get a taste of the real world and not get conceited over time.

Hermes family could be considered relatively wealthy in Europe but these type of business families were no where compared to those old monsters with decades old history. This method was a way for them to move up the ladder.

" Hello? Miss Delphina? I never thought that I will receive a call from young lady." Alexis was polite. The big event hadn't happen yet, there was no bad blood between them other than her supporting her brother. Beside, she also appreciated Delphina's tenacity, many of young ladies would have given up by now but she kept fighting which was a outstanding performance in her eye.

" Young lady? When did I ever receive such an outrageous title? I am not a noble person." Delphina voice was still a little cold. Even though she already discussed the plan with Samuel, she was not willing to let go of her anger on whim.

" I didn't mean it any other way. I really respect you but I don't know why you are calling me so early in the morning?" It was barely half past six, obviously Alexis was confused about the timing.

" Are you free? I want to have a chat with you." Her voice was a little awkward. In one hand she was angry but on the other hand she wanted her to come meet her for a chat? It was first time for her to do such a outrageous thing. Who would have experience with sitting down with their enemies? She had been in business circle for many years now but she never even heard about such a weird meeting.

" Eh?" Unsurprisingly, Alexis was shocked to hear such a proposition. She honestly thought that the other party was joking. Why does this weird things keep happening to her? Was her luck so bad recently?

" Ummm.... Miss Delphina, are you inviting me on a date?" Alexis knew about Delphina orientation. It was a common thing these days but she never knew that her opponent was so straightforward. Was her charm so great?

" What the hell are you saying? Date? It's just a meeting!" Delphina face was deep red. She didn't know about these weird rumours but hearing Alexis say it out loud she panicked a little. It was just a experiment, there was no need for everyone to be so serious, she said in her heart!

" Meeting?"

" Do you think my ineffective brother is worth your investment?" Delphina chuckled twice, for some reason hearing her carefree voice made her to have a bad feeling.

" She must have discovered something! But still it's too late." Alexis already made careful considerations. She knew the net had been placed, even if the fish tried to struggle her life away in the end it would be caught!

" I don't think there is anything wrong with Alan. Miss, there is no need for you to get between our relationship. We are a happy couple." Alexis face twitched a little hearing her own words but this is what she needed to do.

" Relationship? Emotions? hahaha, Miss Alexis, sometime you can really make a joke. If my estimation is right, my stupid brother should be in the club right now." Delphina didn't hold back her words, she wanted to make it sting!

" Miss, you don't have to tell me. I know these type of tactics, there are many people trying to these type of schemes, it would not work on me." Alexis was not stupid. She thinks about everything before replying, by being a ignorant person, she could put the blame on others laying the honeypot scheme to seduce the heir of LVHM group.

In this way for a time, the matter could be concealed, beside there was nothing between them. Even if Alan wanted to toss around all day with different models why would she care about any of it?

" Good, I know that you already have a feeling. I grew up watching his shenanigans. I can say that it's ten times worse than you think." She kept rubbing it in.

" What the fuck do you mean? Delphina, do you think that you have any hope of winning by playing these stupid tricks? Just give up, there is no need to be so shameless." Alexis who was holding herself back suddenly became aggravated. She knew why Delphina kept bringing up her big brother.
