"F*ck!" Vincent barked. He then replied with a forceful grin, "Don't allow me to ever say the same thing back to you. I'm looking forward to that day, Mr. Wickam. I hope you'll never discover that you've already fallen for Elisa. This is the only way to save you from the embarrassment that'll follow."
Seeing how Gareth didn't respond, Vincent continued, "When that time comes, we'll see who's more shameless! I still have a chance of winning her over as she hasn't been hurt by me the way you've hurt Elisa. Eventually, you'll see how much more effort you must put in to get her back. Don't come to me

Jeremy chuckled and didn't say anything. He was used to his friends' bickering.
Gareth just glared stonily at him without saying a word further.
