"What deal can I possibly have with Eden?" Elisa asked in return without glancing at Gareth while packing her stuff.
Gareth walked up to her. At that time, the poisoned man had left, leaving Gareth and Elisa in the room.
"You used all of them." Gareth blurted frostily.
He was standing beside Elisa, yet the latter didn't bother to look at him. She could feel the tense atmosphere. Without looking at Gareth, she could imagine Gareth's grim expression.
Although Gareth didn't put it outright, his meaning was clear.
Elisa had used the poisoned man and his gang, so how would she possibly leave Eden, Estoccia's prince, out?
Elisa's face clouded over as she was irritated. "His intention was impure, and his identity is complicated. I don't have to make a deal with him. Where are you feeling unwell? Your mouth or your heart?" Elisa asked scornfully.
"My whole body." Gareth replied bitterly.
Elisa was speechless but still placed her finger on his wrist to feel his pulse. The drug in his body was
not completely neutralized yet, so his pulse was weak. Nonetheless, Elisa knew his condition was not as bad as he described.
"Continue taking the medicine for a few days. Maintain a good mood. Exercise, and get some sun." Elisa retracted her hand and exhorted Gareth.
"Okay." Gareth hummed in a deep voice with an indifferent expression.
Elisa thought he would leave, but he stood still on the spot.
"Is there anything else?" Elisa noticed Gareth's bizarre behavior, although he said nothing.
Gareth asked, "Didn't you say your stuff is in the room?" His countenance was not as hostile as before, but Elisa had the urge to beat him up seeing his attitude.
"Do you think…" Before Elisa could finish her sentence, her phone suddenly rang – it was a video call from Julia.
Elisa answered the call. Julia appeared in her sight with a loving smile on her face. "Hey, Elisa, is Gareth with you? I want to know what that brat is up to. He doesn't pick up my call."
Elisa shot a fierce glare at Gareth. Why did he reject Grandma's call and come here to mess with me?
The next second, Elisa smiled gently and said, "He's with me, Grandma. I was treating him just now."
Elisa had to say so to put Julia at ease so that she wouldn't worry about Gareth.
"Oh, no wonder." Julia nodded in realization and suddenly had an idea. "Elisa, give me a video call when you treat him next time. I better keep an eye on him. You must be having a hard time treating him. Gareth Wickam, get here!"
Gareth cooperatively showed up, following Julia's order.
"Elisa has done us a huge favor. Bring her out to buy her some clothes and accessories. Buy her the food she likes. You have to satisfy all her requests!"
