Since I acted as your date previously, can you return the favor and be my date this time?"

Irene pretended not to notice Eden's cold indifference.

She thought Eden would agree to go with her if she requested him that way. Unexpectedly, he refused without giving it a thought.

He raised his hand, prompting Irene to widen her eyes and retreat from him speedily.
