Bella felt a slight unease. As she looked at Mike, she realized that he seemed somewhat unfamiliar to her.
In her memory, he had always been a college student with a warm smile, nothing more.
At that moment, Mike realized that he had been a bit too emotional. He looked apologetically at Bella and scratched the back of his head. “I’m sorry, I… I just think that coming to the company now is not a wise move, given the current chaos. Bella raised her eyebrows slightly. “It’s precisely because of the commotion that I wanted to come.”

Bella swept her gaze across the room, and once she felt she had seen enough, she began her presentation.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for the inconvenience. I know that due to the subsidiary’s affairs, everyone has been busy, especially the staff in the project department. There have probably been many incoming and outgoing calls recently.” Bella’s gaze fell on the latest project director.
The project director hung his head low, acknowledging the truth in Bella’s words.
If it were just phone calls, it would be bearable. However, there were insults, and even contracts they were in the process of negotiating were directly scrapped.
Perhaps the silver lining was that some of their regular clients had chosen not to terminate their contracts. They were probably waiting to see how things would pan out.
What Bella could say for sure was that if Benett Corporation didn’t take any action to change the tide during that period, they would genuinely be in danger.
Bella understood clearly. “I know everyone is having a tough time, especially those who need to liaise with external parties. What I want to say is that just because our subsidiary is having issues, it doesn’t mean there are problems within our company. In a large corporation, complexities are inevitable. A company is like a miniature society, and it’s inevitable there are one or two scums within it. I believe everyone can understand that.”
After Bella finished speaking, a faint laughter could be heard.
