Elisa sat alone for a long time once again.

Everything was set up perfectly before the people present realized that the main character was missing.

Gareth remained still. Elisa took a few steps forward and noticed that Gareth wasn’t following her. She turned around, staring at Gareth with a hint of confusion.
She asked him silently, “Why don’t you leave?”
Gareth looked at Elisa, enunciating with utmost seriousness, “There’s no need for you to pretend in front of me. If you’re sad, then be sad. There’s no need to feign nonchalance.”
His one sentence immediately touched the deepest part of Elisa’s heart.
In a moment of inexplicable impulse, Elisa embraced Gareth, burying her head in his chest. Silently, she shed tears, wordlessly expressing the emotions that had been building up in her heart for a while.
While she seemed emotionally fine and was determined to take revenge on Kaylee, she would quietly shed tears during the night.
She would silently blame herself, wondering why the person lying motionless on the bed wasn’t her.

Roughly five minutes later, Elisa regained her composure and created some distance between them.
Compared to before, her eyes were a bit swollen, red like a little rabbit.
It also softened the sharpness of her features, reducing the overwhelming, intimidating effect she could have on people.
“Thank you,” Elisa said succinctly.
Gareth didn’t want her to feel too embarrassed, so he consciously avoided bringing up matter.
The two of them were in such harmony that it was as if nothing had happened at all.
