"I know, but you saw how it is back there.We couldn't have stayed.Besides, the doctor said that Elisa wouldn't be awake for another seven or eight hours.It won't be a problem even if Mr.Wickam stays there.And didn't you notice that he seemed to be pitying Elisa?
