Chapter 807

Rachel furrowed her brows. Upon looking at Elisa, she couldn't help but ask, "Who made a move against you? Were you accidentally hurt, or did someone target you?"

"I'm not sure yet." Elisa smiled. "You should go back and rest. Don't worry. I'll be fine."

Elisa didn't tell Rachel the truth. She didn't want her good friend to worry.

Rachel sighed in frustration. "Rest well. Let me know if there are any problems. I'll come over at any time. Somehow, I feel like Gareth is unreliable!"

Elisa laughed lightly. "Alright."

Just like that, Rachel left in a reluctant and worried state.

When she returned, she saw Vincent sitting on the couch with a dark expression. She furrowed her brows and asked, "Why didn't you tell me something happened to Liz?"

Vincent's gaze swept past her indifferently. "She told me not to tell you."

"You didn't tell me because she told you not to? She needs to be taken care of! How could that man take care of her? What would you do if he looked for someone else and found an untrustworthy person to take care of her instead?"

Vincent frowned. "She's an adult. Are you the only person who can take care of her? Moreover, is Gareth that much of a failure? Doesn't he have any reliable people around him? Why are you worrying for nothing?"

"That's my good friend! She's my best friend, more important to me than life itself!"

Vincent's face fell abruptly. At that moment, he was very annoyed when he heard her say that her best friend was more important to her than her life!

"Since she's more important to you than life itself, stay there and take care of her! Why did you come back?"

Rachel was flabbergasted.

This jerk is being unreasonable!

She didn't want to look at him or speak to him. She returned to her bedroom instead.

At that moment, Vincent was highly irritable. That d*mn woman!

The night grew darker, but everyone on Twitter talked about how intimate Elisa and Gareth had been on their business trip together.

Linda had been scrolling through Twitter the whole day and was provoked by those discussions. She looked at Rose, enraged. "What happened to that person? It's so late. Hasn't she accomplished anything?"

Rose's brows furrowed tightly. "Try calling her. Since she can think of a way to clear you of suspicion, she's extraordinary."

Linda was slightly restless. Before she could make the call, her cell phone rang. "It's her!"

Linda answered the call at once.

"Hello?"

The girly voice rang out. "Someone made a move, but Gareth suppressed the news on Twitter, so it wasn't spread. Elisa was injured."

Linda was astonished.

Her face was stupefied. "She was hurt?"

Is this a joke?

Among the schemes planned in advance, Elisa was unharmed the first time. She only sustained a minor injury the second time. She wasn't dead, nor was she destroyed. Then what was the point of making a move? They were exposed instead!

"Mm."

"You clearly have such great strength. Why have you failed both times you made a move?"

"If I killed her, I wouldn't have found you. I've said I need your help dealing with her from the start. These two times were just for you to witness my sincerity."

Linda was stunned.

Right now, she couldn't see the person's sincerity. In fact, she was astounded. She didn't ask anything else and said, "Why can't you just kill her if you're so competent? Why do you need my help? You're barely scratching the surface by making a move these two times. Your sincerity seems a little weak."
