Chapter 145 - Nine Sun Physique
Chapter 145 - Nine Sun Physique
"Please wait a moment, young man."The homeless-looking man stopped Albion before trying to return the changes back to him.
"I cannot take your money. I have not done anything, nor are we familiar enough for me to accept this much money from you."
"Just consider it as me trying to repay someone from my previous life through you." Albion casually stated without accepting the money in the homeless-looking man's outstretched hand.
Shortly after, he resumed his steps while eating his meat skewers before he added, "If you still don't want it, then just throw it away. Simple as that."
"This… But what should I do with this much money?" The homeless-looking man asked with a lost expression.
With just $5 or $10, he would only need to worry about his next meal.
He had forgotten how long it has been since he held so much money—so long that he does not know what to do with it.
"Get something nice to eat? Some new clothes to wear? A fresh cut? Anything you want. With this much, it's enough to transform your life. You can look neat and find a job if you want. The possibilities are endless."
Albion shrugged nonchalantly.
If he was the same person in his previous life, he probably would not have spouted such bullshit since he could not even take care of his own life back then.
"What kind of job would be suitable for me? Or rather, what can I do?" The homeless-looking man asked.
"You can do a lot of things. I can see that although you have not trained in martial arts, you still have a good physique. You must have killed a few interdimensional creatures during the outbreak, right?" Albion asked.
"Yes, that's right. I was lucky to have become a Level 3 Hunter. However, it's amazing that you can tell that much with just a glance. Young man, you have impressive foresight," The homeless-looking man complimented before asking, "How should I address you?"
"Albion is my name," Albion said.
"Well then, allow me to call you, Young Master Albion." The homeless-looking man spoke with a smile.
From the way the middle-aged homeless-looking man spoke and conducted, Albion could tell that the person was well-educated and had a good upbringing.
God knows how the person landed in his present situation on the streets.
"I'll tell you what. I am actually a great wizard—I mean, fortune teller," Albion sighed before stating with confidence, "You can give me your name, and I will divine the best possible job for you."
"Really?" The homeless man was taken aback.
After expressing his doubt for a fraction of a second, he nodded, "Well, alright. My name is Les McBurnz."
Pfft!
Slight laughter escaped from the nearby crepe vendor.
"Les McBurnz, huh?" Albion muttered with twitching lips before he said, "Well, there's no need to divine your fortune. I already know the best job for you; firefighter."
"Oh? You really think so?" Les McBurnz was pleasantly surprised before speaking with a forlorn sigh, "It used to be my dream, but I was unable to make it due to my criminal record."
"Not only do I think so, I know so. You will become the best firefighter in the history of firefighters. It is your destiny, your calling in life." Albion stated calmly.
"Thank you for the kind words, Young Master Albion," Les McBurnz clenched his fist excitedly before saying, "I don't know if what you said will come true or not, but I am willing to give it a try once again. Maybe they will accept me this time."
"Remember; if there's a will, there's a way. Even if you fail, what is important is to keep trying until you succeed," Albion imparted his wise words like some sage that knows it all.
However, after a short moment, Albion wrinkled his brows with a frown before asking, "You have a criminal record? What did you do exactly?"
"Well, you see…" Les MrBurnz's eye twitched before he recounted, "In my younger days, I accidentally blew up the house while trying to kill a cockroach, which resulted in the death of my entire family except myself…"
"In the end, no one believed my words due to my lack of burns and charged me with murder and arson before sentencing me to 15 years in jail. Two years ago, I was finally released. But with no family nor place to call home, I've been a wanderer of the streets since."
"Wanderer of the streets… That's an interesting way to call homelessness…" Albion was too dumbfounded to say anything else.
In fact, he simply did not know what to say.
He thought he would be the unluckiest person in the world due to the influence of the Dark Emperor's accumulated sins, but there were other people even unluckier than him.
"For you to have survived an explosion that your family did not, it would mean that…" Albion suddenly thought as he muttered, "You have a special ability."
"Ah, you guessed it again, Young Master Albion." Les MrBurnz nodded and revealed his pyrokinetic ability before adding, "However, I was only able to use this ability a few days ago. What allowed me to survive back then was my abnormally fire-resistant body."
"You… Why don't you work for me? I'll pay you." Albion offered after opening his Eyes of Ashura to inspect Les McBurnz's physique.
Unexpectedly, he had encountered someone with a Special Physique—one with fire attributes called the Nine Sun Physique.
The lack of Spiritual Energy in the world nearly buried this gem.
If this person was born in the Nine Divine Heavens, he would have been a genius in cultivation, becoming a powerful immortal revered by many.
Naturally, he could not pass on a person with such great potential.
"You want me to work for you? What about becoming a firefighter?" Lez McBurnie questioned with surprise.
Young Master Albion's eyes burned with a feverish gaze that seemed to give him a slight chill.
"You can still be a firefighter. But you will also be my subordinate, someone who answers my summons and carry out my every order faithfully. In return, I will make sure that you will never have to worry about money again."
"How about it? Will you accept?" Albion offered.
