Chapter 159 - A Sky-High Number Of Chips
Chapter 159 - A Sky-High Number Of Chips
In an underground storage room, a group of twelve men in black suits moved the cargos and caged goods into neat arrangements.
"Check the list! Make sure you don't f*ck up the order! Otherwise, the boss will also f*ck you up!" A black-suited man hollered.
"Yes, Brother Dippu!" answered the men in black suits.
The crates were unloaded from the cargo and quickly sorted—based on the order of the auction list.
"That crate is filled with rare mineral. Leave for later. The four of us will combine our strength to move it later," a man in black said.
However, a burly man in black responded with confidence, "We don't need four people. Just leave it to me!"
The group was divided into teams of two to carry the crates, but the burly man quickly took on the heavy crate by himself.
His hands wrapped around the metal crate, and veins protruded on his arms as the burly man entered a horse stance to lift the heavy crate with all his might.
"Hoouuu—!"
Rip!
A sudden tear in the burly man's rear was heard before the heavy crate was dropped with a bang.
"Oi, be careful with the precious goods! You're lucky that crate contains nothing fragile!" Dippu Shitte barked.
"Sorry, Brother Dippu!" The burly man apologized awkwardly with his rear clenched before complaining, "These clothes aren't suitable for doing labor."
"Hah, you better find yourself some new pants to change into, Brother Pharte. Your ass crack is showing," a man in black laughed.
"Hmph, it's so hot down here. My sweaty ass needed the air ventilation anyway," Pharte Talot snorted.
Among the many crates being unloaded from the cargo container in the large storage room, there were rare minerals, exotic herbs, quality equipment, smuggled Phantasmium, and even caged living beings.
"Awrooo!"
Howls were heard from some cloaked cages as the men in black moved it to its designated spot.
"Careful with your handling of those cages. The things inside will be the spotlight of tonight!" Dippu Shitte warned.
"Just what exactly is inside? They sounded like wolf howls, but at the same time, nothing like normal wolf howls," another man in black said curiously."
"Two days ago, the Second Wave's Dimensional Rifts appeared in various places around the world, and these Dimensional Rifts were no longer limited to the virtual dimension," Dippu Shitte mentioned before saying, "Why don't you take a wild guess what's inside yourself?"
The men were all taken aback for a moment before they all had pondering expressions.
"I heard the Glacia continent was lost to a new monster race that emerged from the new Dimensional Rift there."
"They displayed strength far superior to the virtual-type interdimensional creatures and dominated the Hunters."
"I also heard many Hunters were killed, and the ones with notable status were all captured to create room for negotiations."
"Seriously? Sounds like those monsters want to establish an independent monster nation on the Glacia continent! I don't think the world government will allow it!"
"Of course not! How can we give up the sovereignty of our lands to foreign invaders? The world government will surely retaliate strongly. Perhaps, we will hear news of large Hunter recruitment to reclaim the Glacia continent soon."
"Don't be so sure. The families of those captured Hunters are sure to put up resistance and make concessions to the monsters."
"Hold on. If we are talking about this, then these crates...contains those monsters?"
"Most likely!"
The men broke into a deep discussion while continuing to move crates and cloth-covered cages to their designated areas.
Suddenly, one of the cloth covers accidentally slid off while the men moved the cages, revealing two little girls inside.
"Damn, we are even auctioning off children tonight? Will there be problems?" Dippu Shitte frowned.
Child trafficking was a serious crime that should not be made known, lest it arouses public outrage and law enforcement intervention.
"Those little girls shouldn't be on the auction list," a new person arrived before stating coolly, "My Abestel family doesn't engage in this sort of business. That's the work of your Metti Group."
"Mr. Fritz! Boss Stefano!"
Dippu Shitte and the rest of the men immediately paused their work to greet the two big figures that arrived.
"Why are the gang's goods being mixed with the auction items here?" Stefano Metti asked with a frown before waving his hand, "Move those little girls to the other storage room."
"Yes, Boss Stefano!" The men answered.
At the same time, the two little girls in the cage shivered with fear while cuddling each other for comfort.
"Sally is scared..."
"Wuxin is scared too..."
The two girls whispered softly to each other in a near-inaudible volume.
Sometime later, another subordinate in a black suit quickly arrived in an urgent matter.
"Boss Stefano, we have a big problem in the casino!"
"Hm? Someone dares to cause trouble in my casino? Who is it? Is it one of the eight young masters?" Stefano Metti frowned slightly.
"No, the young masters had already left the casino three hours ago! It's someone else, boss! This person has already racked up $1.2 billion in chips in the roulette section! We won't have enough money to pay this person when he turns in his chips!"
The subordinate was exasperated.
"What! $1.2 billion, you say?! And you only tell me this now!? How can you let this person win so much money from the casino?!"
Stefano Metti nearly wanted to cough up blood on the spot after hearing the sky-high number of winnings. Was this troublemaker trying to make him bankrupt?!
"It's impossible for someone to win this much money! This person is obviously cheating! Why haven't you thrown this troublemaker out and feed him to the fishes yet?!" He thundered.
"This... This is because..." The subordinate made a difficult-to-explain expression before saying, "No one knows how this person is cheating in roulettes, Boss Stefano!"
"The person just guesses the number correctly every time! Even the other guests have joined in and placed bets wherever the person places his bet! Furthermore, this person is very strong! None of our men can kick him out!"
After the subordinate explained while breaking out into cold sweats, Stefano Metti frowned deeply before turning to Fritz Abestel on the side.
"Mr. Fritz, I may require your help in dealing with this troublemaker," Stefano Metti requested humbly with a bow.
Fritz Abestel's lips curved up into an intriguing smile before he uttered a single word.
"Interesting!"
