Chapter 174 - One Day, They Will Understand Our Culture
"Is the main family's reinforcement arriving yet?!"
A young master from a lesser family hollered at his subordinates with desperation while struggling to fend for himself from the Abestel family's attacks in his weakened state.
"Not yet, young master! The master decided to launch a punitive attack on the Abestel family's main home instead! He believed that with so many families together, we would be able to deal with the Abestel family and Metti group with ease!"
The subordinate reported.
"Dammit! If it's not for this despicable poison, would we have so much trouble teaming up to deal with a single family?!" The young master gnashed his teeth.
"Fire Lance!"
"Ice Needles!"
Blasts of elemental attacks were thrown back and forth as hunters fought unpredictably in tandem with their melee attacks.
"Arghh!" A Hunter was shot in the back by an allied family before he glared back at the assailant and roared, "Same side, asshole!"
Bzzt!
A lightning-elemental attack was hurled back at the assailant in retaliation before further chaos broke out between the families.
"All members of the Qiu family, listen up! Beware of the Dale family! These sneaky bastards want to weaken us amidst the confusion!" The lightning-user barked.
The two-way battle quickly turned into a three-way battle, creating disorder in the chains of commands between the allied families.
"The Qiu family and Dale family are fighting each other. What should we do, father?" Cui Zexi asked his father, the Cui family's head, who attended the auction with him.
"These idiots!" Cui Zexian gnashed his teeth and said, "Ignore them! Focus on the Abestel family and Metti group!"
"Yes, father!"
"Yes, Family Head!"
The Cui family's subordinates answered at the same time.
…
In another corner of the auction room, a pair of cloaked twins observed the battle behind an erected barrier camouflaging their presence.
"Humans are so revolting. Even in a situation like this, they can still find reasons to turn on each other, Ceone. They are not capable of self-governance. Permission to request for a governor."
"Denied, Cetwo. Focus on the mission. Five days remain to locate the True Immortal, 28 days to bring the person back to the Federation."
"Understood, Ceone." Cetwo acknowledged.
After a moment of silent observation, Ceone asked, "Have you determined if the owner of the strong mental energy belongs to the True Immortal?"
"Negative, Ceone. The mental energy is strong in comparison to human standards but far beneath the Demigod to be comparable to the True Immortal. Conclusion; the telekinesis-user is not the True Im—"
Rumble!
The auction house suddenly shook from having another section of its building blown away by a powerful impact.
Ceone and Cetwo immediately turned their gazes in the direction of the first VIP booth with wrinkled brows.
"Possibility of the True Immortal's presence?"
"Low chance, Ceone. No source of energy was detected. It was a purely physical attack."
"Low chance is better than zero chance. Proceed to record the target's information and placed the person on the list of suspects," Ceone stated before using a high-tech scanner.
In a short instance, Albion's appearance and information were captured and gathered from the database.
Once the process was completed, the regulators did not pursue the suspected target further but remained inside their camouflaged barrier.
"Continue to observe, Cetwo. However low the chance may be, there is a still a chance that the True Immortal could be among this gathering of elites."
"Affirmative, Ceone."
…
Outside the auction house, the repeated commotion and destruction quickly drew the attention of the suicidal news reporters and live-streamers over.
"Hi, everyone, it's me, your lovely Diona Heart, back with another important Livestream at the location of Eastern Allure Auction House," Diona Heart spoke with an unrecovered swollen cheek.
"As you can see behind me, a big battle is taking place here. So far, several big-named families are known to be involved. Whoever they are fighting, however, has yet to be known."
As the young live-streamer spoke, explosions continued to go off, sending broken rubbles and shattered glasses flying everywhere.
"Perhaps, the Otaku Terrorists have finally decided to move down to our southeastern region after hearing about the appearance of the Second Wave's Dimensional Rift as well."
[Diona'sNo1Fan: Ahh, my lovely goddess! Please get out there! Your beautiful face has yet to heal, and you're already throwing yourself head-first into danger again!]
[DogAteMyHomework7439: Diona Heart never disappoints to deliver early news on the situation! However, how did she get there so fast?!]
[AlbionBlack17: What's important isn't how she got there so fast, but the news she is delivering! The top families are fighting! How shocking!]
[SunWuDong541: I hear so many explosions. Could it really be the Otaku Terrorists? A battle between the esteemed families and the underground? How exciting! I wish I was there to see it myself!]
[AvidReader97: @SunWuDong541, F for respect.]
[SunWuDong541: @AvidReader97, piss off! Get off my ass already!]

Silvercove City
Northern Suburban District, 7:27PM
Inside a local bar, a few young men between the age of 18 and 28 were casually chilling and have a cold one with their mates—when one of them stood up abruptly in anger.
"Bullshit!"
The 21-year old young man's sudden outburst immediately drew the attention of other veteran customers in the bar.
"Sit back down, I Am The Chosen One."
The group leader tugged the young man's arm before smiling back at the other customers, letting them know that there was no problem.
The young man sat back down awkwardly before whispering in a hushed tone, "Why are you using that name in public? You're embarrassing me, Jeffrey!"
"It's quicker to calm you down this way," Jeffrey stated calmly before saying, "Now tell me what made you so mad."
"Argh, it's so infuriating," the young man showed his phone before speaking in low volume, "We haven't even done anything, but we are getting all the blame for this incident!"
"At this rate, the world government might send their anti-terrorism troops over and scour the city with a strict inspection. We might be forced to relocate and cancel tomorrow's plans!"
"This does make one want to vomit blood with indignance, but there's nothing we can do about it," Jeffrey frowned before adding, "Our organization does not have a positive outlook."
"Nevertheless, I believe a day will come when people will understand the culture we are trying to spread."
