Chapter 195 - Dignity Doesn't Feed Them
Towards Estelle Xiao's question, Albion simply chose to ignore it. Instead, he shifted his gaze to Wuxin and Sally calmly.
"You two know this idiot?" He asked.
"Yeah!" Wuxin quickly answered before Estelle Xiao could retort before she explained, "Big Sister Estelle regularly visited our orphanage and took care of us, food, expenses, and all."
"The Sunflower Orphanage doesn't receive donation nor government support anymore. Big Sister Estelle has been our main pillar of support for the past two years," Sally added.
Shortly after, she gazed at Albion's raised hand and pleaded, "So, please, please don't hurt Big Sister Estelle, Boss."
"Ahem, you're mistaken," Albion gazed at his hand before scratching his head with it, "I wasn't going to smack her or anything. I just needed to scratch an itch."
Sally gazed at the boss with doubt.
Do bald people even get itchy heads that they would need to scratch them?
"Anyway, since you know each other, I will leave them in your capable hands. However, I will be coming back to pick them up later," Albion said coolly.
It could be said that the police officer came at the right time.
Wuxin and Sally had not commenced their training yet. They would not be able to endure the cold if he brought them along to the Glacia continent.
"Hold it! You haven't answered my question!" Estelle Xiao shouted.
"I'm too lazy to deal with your nonsense. Go, skedaddle, get out of here. This isn't the place for you to be," Albion waved his hand at them nonchalantly.
Swish~!
Empyrean's Decree!
A wave of strong mental power immediately swept Estelle Xiao off her feet, carried her and the two girls away, and safely sent them back to the ground level.
"We're not done—!"
Before Estelle Xiao could finish speaking, she was slapped in the face by a fat sum of cash that came out from Albion's Ashura Ring.
After realizing what she was struck by, Estelle Xiao grabbed the stacks of cash angrily and roared, "Do you think I want your dirty money—?!"
"Well, is your pride more important than the children? Does it keep them well-fed and properly dressed? Are you make them suffer just to keep your so-called dignity?" Albion interrupted indifferently and said, "Keep the money and take care of Wuxin and Sally. I paid good money for them."
At his words, Estelle Xiao's hand froze before she could hurl the cash.
Bang, bang!
A few rock pellets were flicked in the ground by her feet, causing Estelle Xiao to retreat with a startled look.
"Leave. I won't repeat myself again," Albion stated.
Estelle Xiao bit her lip. She ultimately kept the stacks of cash and took Wuxin and Sally away from the chaos in the area.
Shortly after, Albion used his phone and dialed a number via a special connection before it was quickly picked up.
[You called, my Lord?]
Polemos answered.
A lot of urgent shouting and noises could be heard in the background. Albion paused for a moment and said, "You seem busy. Should I call back later?"
[Not at all, my Lord. The psychic alien race is putting a better fight in the asteroid belt than I expected, but it's nothing to worry about. What do you need from this subordinate, my Lord?]
Polemos asked.
"I need you to send someone capable enough over to take charge of matters in Silvercove city for me," Albion stated his reason for calling.
[My Lord wants to…?]
Polemos's eyes flickered with a possibility before Albion smiled and said, "Don't you think you've been in space for too long, Polemos? The Mars Colonization Project will continue, but it does not mean we need to give up on Earth."
"Since I am back, we will reclaim our land and build a new order on top—starting with Silvercove city, we will re-establish our authority on Earth. The Blackthorne Group; that is our new name. I have subjugated three local gangs, the Declan, Chen, and Yan Gang, who will become part of our new group."
"However, their strength is lacking, and their training requires discipline. I need someone who can fix these local gangs into shape and integrate them into our group," Albion stated.
[Yes, my Lord! I'll have it done right away—with honor and without fail!]
Polemos patted his chest with an excited look before Albion nodded, "Un, I know will get done correctly."
Beep.
The call ended.
Shortly after, Albion glanced at the two wolf-girls patiently waiting while gazing back at him curiously with their own thoughts.
"Let's go."
"Yes, Master!"
…
North Silvercove Beach, roughly 500 meters away from Eastern Allure Auction House, Ligma Bawles took the remaining thugs to escape the city by foot.
"Wolf King, there's a barricade up ahead!" A thug quickly noticed.
"Must be the be city's police force," Ligma Bawles narrowed his eyes before they flickered with a ruthless glint, "No matter. Just charge through them. Kill anyone who blocks our path of retreat!"
"Yes, Wolf King!" the thugs answered.
At the same time, the police force also noticed them before one of the officers quickly reported, "Sir, there's a group of people quickly approaching! They do not look like ordinary civilians."
"Should we clear a path and avoid conflict, Captain Guo?" Another officer asked.
"As expected. People tried to escape in this direction, huh?" Guo Dai gazed into the distance with narrowed eyes before muttered, "This person is… I know this face. It's the Bloodmoon Gang's Wolf King!"
"Don't let them through! Prepare to fire at will! They look defeated and weakened!" Guo Dai's eyes lit up before he stated, "This is our best chance to take them out!"
"Yes, Captain Guo!"
…
"Wolf King, it seems like they are bent on fighting us! It will not be easy to avoid their rain of fire!" A thug shouted with alert.
"Hmph, we might have fallen to an enemy we could not hope to defeat, but it does not mean that even these weaklings can step over us!" Ligma Bawles snorted before he shouted, "Follow my lead!"
"Yes, Wolf King!"
Ligma Bawles quickly ripped off a door from a black Civic Adnoh parked on the sideroad before charging forward with it as his shield!
