I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 250 - Eloquent Marketing

Chapter 250 - Eloquent Marketing

"Good sh*t? You must be pulling my leg, Sir Albion! Although I don't know what these pills are, the impurity inside is so high, they are even worse Low-rank Spirit Pills!" City Lord Baschmi's lip could not stop twitching as he spoke.

"I'm afraid ingesting one of these pills would be like swallowing charcoal. God knows what sort of health problems will crop up, even if it manages to produce its intended effect!"

It was not wrong for City Lord Baschmi to call Albion's black pills sh*t.

They have genuinely transcended the lowest rank in the grading system, Low-rank Spirit Pills, and become Garbage-rank Spirit Pills.

"Didn't you say your city was in dire need of alchemists? Do you think now is the time to be picky?" Albion argued shamelessly before saying, "Besides, who said these pills were for ingesting?"

"They're not? Then why would I still want to buy them for?" City Lord Baschmi responded, taken aback while gazing at Albion with doubt.

"How should I know? You're the one asking if I have any pills to sell. You didn't state whether you would be willing to buy them," Albion shrugged nonchalantly.

City Lord Baschmi's lips twitched.

He doubted anyone would want to buy such Garbage-rank Spirit Pills.

Nevertheless, Albion did not give up and continued to market his black pills, "These pills are some of the very first pills I have ever refined on the path of alchemy. They have historical value to them."

"Don't you think it will be worthwhile to collect the first few refined pills of a future God of Alchemy? You know some people are interested in these kinds of things, you know?"

"But these so-called people Sir Albion are referring to are all appreciators of art. How can appreciating historical artifacts and artworks be compared to appreciating a pill—and of such quality no less!"

City Lord Baschmi was exasperated.

Nevertheless, Albion glanced at City Lord Baschmi strangely and said, "The failed pills of a God of Alchemy cannot be considered a type of historical artifact? There's value, you know?"

"Sir Albion, I am serious about our cooperation, but if you continue to pull this prank on me, I'm afraid that we won't be able to get anywhere," City Lord Baschmi gazed at Albion sternly and said in a deep voice.

"You think I am joking?" Albion glanced back with a frown.

"Haiz, never mind. You don't know what good thing you missed," Albion shook his head with a sigh and said, "As the saying goes: when a cultivator achieves the Dao and becomes immortal, even his sh*t becomes valuable."

"Where did that saying come from? Why haven't I heard of it before?" City Lord Baschmi asked doubtfully, taken aback and confused at the same time.

Was there truly such a saying?

Alas, Albion openly said without shame, "Of course, you haven't heard it before. I just made it up—but the point is that you might not find these pills valuable, but others will."

"Since you don't want it, that's fine. I'm sure I can find a buyer elsewhere."

Just as Albion said this and prepared to put away the black pill, City Lord Baschmi suddenly reached out and stopped him.

"W-Wait! I'll buy them!" City Lord Baschmi said with a slightly panicked tone, causing Albion to be slightly surprised.

"F*ck, make up your mind," Albion slightly cussed before questioning with a frown, "I thought you didn't want them?"

"I do now!" City Lord Baschmi answered firmly.

Even if City Lord Baschmi did not want the pills, he clearly understood that if he wants to buy any pills from Sir Albion in the future, then he would have to buy these useless pills first.

"How badly do you want to buy them?"

"Very badly!"

"Oh?" Albion raised an eyebrow at City Lord Baschmi before he smiled slyly and said, "Then I suppose City Lord Baschmi will be willing to offer a high price for them."

"Y-Yeah!" City Lord Baschmi's lips twitched.

Sometime later, Albion left the city lord's office with a content smile after he successfully sold his inferior Grade-1 Spirit Pills to the city lord in exchange for six Grade-3 Spirit Herbs with frigid attributes.

With Grade-3 Spirit Herbs, unless he screws up badly, he will be able to refine Grade-3 Spirit Herbs that are useful to martial artists at the Innate Realm, much like himself and Fenriri.

Nevertheless, Albion did not think about refining any medicine for himself.

The Dark Emperor had already ingested all sorts of pills in his second life to reach the realm of True Immortal.

As such, anything below Grade-7 Spirit Pills was not helpful for Albion.

He may be in the Late-stage Innate Realm concurrently, but his true cultivation was still at the True Immortal Realm.

It was simply in a passing-through phase of recultivating to get his soul up to par—kind of like taking a cram course for a subject in school.

"Master, you are so mean!" Fenriri commented with a giggle, having witnessed the entire exchange between him and City Lord Baschmi.

She could still recall City Lord Baschmi wearing an expression akin to a person getting robbed by a bandit.

"Fenriri, you must remember that the world does not play fair. If you don't take the initiative to secure your own interest, the world will only take things from you instead," Albion advised her like a wise teacher.

"Oh, I see… Fenriri understands, Master!" Fenriri responded.

"And what do you understand?"

"That we should rob others before they rob us!"

"Well, that's not quite it. But it's good that you can understand it like that," Albion nodded while giving Fenriri a head pat before he suddenly paused.

"What happened to my share of the kebabs?"

"Err…"

Fenriri also paused for a moment, realizing that her master's single kebab has also been finished along with the nine she had for herself.

"Hehe…" Fenriri scratched her head and smiled innocently at Albion, "I seemed to have eaten it, Master…."

"You….." Albion was a bit speechless before he shook his head helplessly and said, "Well, we can always get more."
